The Church

Welcome to The Farm at Hyde Park; a micro farm experience like no other. This spring we are planting the expanded berry patches and the new raised vegetable/herb gardens. Come stay and enjoy locally made honeys, jams and syrups along with fresh farm produce.

Come visit the historic mid-Hudson valley region while staying in a lost union church from the late 1800's. This unique open space residence features a loft area, large eating and communal space along with private outdoor area and fire pit.

If the dates you are looking for the Church are not available check to see if the Calf Pen (2 bed, 2 bath) is available. If you enter the Vrbo ID 3171174 into the "Going to" box on the main page you'll see the calf pen property.

If you desire a date that is not yet available for booking please contact us and we can unlock and allow for a booking more than 6 months in advance.

Although massive and beautiful the fireplace is not for use for real fires. The fireplace has an electric wood stove

The Church was exactly that - staying in this historic site on a “farm” was charming and comfortable for us. The spacious accommodation allowed for me to host a family dinner easily. The location was perfect and we enjoyed our brief stay. Glen was very helpful and accommodating to meet our needs - Thank you

This was a great place to stay with my wife and our 12-year old. We were in the area to see friends who live nearby and this was a nice refuge to come back to after a day of exploring. Glen was a great host - very easy to communicate with, and it was fun to learn about all of the nearby local farms. Will definitely be back!

A beautiful property with vegetable gardens that our host Glen, encouraged us to pick from. Staatsburg is a small town with a fantastic restaurant (River and Post) and nearby to numerous attractions. We visited Rhinebeck (excellent bookstore and a well-stocked art supply shop) the FDR area, Vanderbilt Mansion and Staatsburg State Historic. The house was beautiful and quiet. Glen left us freshly baked zucchini bread, honey, maple syrup, farm fresh eggs and a quart of fresh milk. We had a lovely stay.

The space was absolutely beautiful! The church is filled with lots of history and cool books and trinkets. It has a lot of flavor and also is a very spiritual space. There are trees everywhere… we enjoyed s’mores in the fire pit and we saw a family of deer running on Glenn’s property in the morning. It was a special weekend, highly recommend!

Thank you for your kind words. We at the Farm at Hyde Park strive to make our homes and grounds special for your visit. But Mother nature absolutely out does our efforts when we have fawns with their mother feeling comfortable in our yard areas. I believe mom is a past fawn returning to familiar ground to raise her own.

Glen is a great host - very helpful and communicative. He lives on the compound so he’s available if needed, but otherwise you have privacy. The space itself is unique and comfortable. I stayed with my daughter and dog and there was space for us to be together, but also separate. The location is great being close to Red Hook and Rhinebeck and also close enough to visit Bard easily. Would stay again.

Glen, our host, was so responsive and accommodating, right from the start through our visit. Property is lovely and comfortable with many personal touches. We had a wonderful visit to the Hyde Park area. Property is close to all local activities. Restaurants are great. It’s a great place to visit!

Great place for exploring the Hudson Valley area, really close to Rhinebeck and Eleanor Roosevelt Site. The church is super charming, the host was incredibly responsive and we enjoyed our stay!

We loved staying in the Church. Glen was the perfect host. There were so many thoughtful details that made a couple of days feel like a vacation; fresh flowers, local milk and eggs in the refrigerator, local honey and syrup on the table. The Church itself is such a cool building, and Glen had a description of its history, and a historic map on the wall. It’s so fun to get to stay in a historic place. Also a perfect location, close to tons of dining options and upstate towns to visit.

A wonderful stay...highly recommend Glen's property. Impeccably clean. Glen lives next door in the compound. We had no issues at all and had a delightful time speaking with Glen who knows much about the area and its history. He was very welcoming to our Corgi. In fact, I think our Corgi would have preferred hanging with Glen for the weekend over us!My husband, Corgi and I would most certainly return to this charming setting and abode.

Our only regret is that we weren’t able to stay longer. A very beautiful and comfortable historic spot. Glen was gracious and helpful. We loved it and our dogs really enjoyed the space.

Great place! Nothing like a hotel which is refreshing. To stay in the church was a neat experience.

My family and I had such a wonderful stay. Glen was very responsive and proactive. The space was beautiful as it was decorated for Christmas. It was very warm and peaceful. Definitely looking forward to returning!
