This VRBO was one of the best we have ever rented. Host was great, cottage was clean and had everything and more that you could ask for. The views were stunning. Wish we could have stayed longer than just one night!

This was absolutely an amazing little cottage. The views were beyond belief and everything was there that you may need. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful. This was also the only accessible home nearby which made this trip possible for me and my husband. I am so grateful!!!

Beautiful view from the front porch swing overlooking the hills and farm country. Very comfy. We'd stay again. Ferne stocks the fridge and cupboards with everything you'll need!

Perfect stay! The room was spotless, comfortable, and ideal for business travel. The host was responsive and welcoming, and the setting was a welcomed oasis of quiet and reflection. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

This cottage was a great place to have a quiet retreat. Close drive to both smaller and larger area towns. Beautiful country road drives and close to the interstate if desired. All immenties I required for cooking were onsite. Ferne was a great host. Showed us around and answered questions upon arrival. She has created a large binder that provides all kinds of information about the surrounding areas. Front porch views from the swing were relaxing. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away from it all and slow down a beat.

This cabin and host are fantastic. Perfect location for things around Harrisonburg and Staunton. Ferne and family are very gracious host. The cabin was stocked with anything we could never need and back ups of things if we forgot something. Beautiful view from the porch swing. Highly recommend!

This is a perfect little slice of Shenandoah Valley vistas heaven! Gorgeous sunrises start your day with a perfect perch to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee on the front porch. Lovely plays of light lay across the fields as the sun sets with almost as much beauty and color as the sunrise. All the comforts of home with a thoughtfully provisioned kitchen and perfectly appointed bathroom. Great pillows, soft sheets and a just right quilt make for a restful and restorative night’s sleep. Our host was so warm and welcoming and makes you feel right at home. We are already dreaming of our next visit.

The cottage is quaint, well kept, and surpringly spaceous! We were greeted by the owner and the fridge was stocked with basic necessities. They were very welcoming and accommodating.

A truly delightful property! A kind and helpful hostess! This listing was exactly as shown in the photos. Ferne had our cottage open when we arrived. By the time we had our bags settled in she appeared and greeted us. The cottage itself was so well equipped I wish every VRBO hosted the same! There was a complimentary breakfast in the refrigerator! There was a coffee bar! Each area fully stocked. The view was stellar! My daughter-in-law and I spent one night. We walked the long driveway, took many photos of these surrounding hills and gorgeous vistas. Our dinner was roasted hot dogs over the fire pit fire. Ferne provided the hot dogs! S'mores for dessert provided by.... Yep! Sweet ,kind ,Ferne. I'm not even suggesting that the added supplies would be there for every client. Just as she had them on hand and so freely offered.The larger upstairs bedroom was fully air conditioned. The second bedroom upstairs had two twin beds and a very nice fan which was truly all I needed to stay comfortable even in the mid-September heat! We will be back next year, no doubt about it!
