Perfect!
For a rental experience, this was a close to perfect as it gets. The house was PERFECT for our needs, in a great neighborhood very close to little Italy and a short drive to downtown and Balboa Park. The house was beautiful and well appointed. The hosts were communicative and accommodating. Beyond a few very minor details that didn’t impact the quality of our stay, everything was wonderful. The place was very clean…except for the floors. I gave that feedback to the owner. Everything else was spotless, and I am very particular.
I’d say it’s important to understand that this property looks over the highway and airport so the noise pollution is high, however, they have FOUR panes of glass on all their windows, so with the windows closed, it’s remarkably quiet. But if you are an open window sleeper, expect to hear the planes. We didn’t mind this one bit, and in fact enjoyed opening the slider and windows and going on the deck, which has a beautiful view of the sunset, the skyline of downtown, the northern tip of the coronado military base, the freeway and the planes coming in.
Two bonuses were the body sprays in the shower downstairs and the hot tub. Perfect for a balmy San Diego night.
All in all, we had a WONDERFUL time. The kitchen had all we needed to cook family meals and my 87 year old grandmother was delighted at our entire stay. If Nana liked it, you will too ;)
Great rental! We’d definitely stay again.
