We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the houseboat! It was very clean and cozy. Being able to sip coffee on the deck while watching birds flying over the canal in the morning was such a treat. Fantastic location, too! It's a nice quiet neighborhood (except for some construction going on across the canal). There's a grocery store, really nice cafe and some fun tourist attractions right in the neighborhood. Also an easy walk to the ferry which goes quickly and directly and frequently to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Edwin is a truly kind and gracious host. He welcomed us and answered any and all questions as they came up.

We had a great stay in the houseboat. Edwin was an excellent host, very responsive. The houseboat was great, we loved there was an air fryer. Plenty of kitchen and bathroom supplies. We had everything we needed. Perfect for my daughter and I.

Edwin was a wonderful host! He had lots of suggestions for activities and places to eat and made himself available for any questions during our stay. While we ended up not needing it, he also offered to hold our luggage for an extra hour after checkout to help with our transportation planning. The houseboat is located a ferry’s ride from central Amsterdam and it runs 24 hours, which is extremely convenient. The houseboat has everything you need. Loved staying here and would definitely stay here again.

Edwin was a great host, very approachable and very accommodating for check in and check out. Gave us great directions to nearby restaurants and shops. Ferry ride to central station and the sights in Amsterdam was very easy to do. Kitchen was well stocked. Unfortunately the nearby laundromat was not open during our stay. Great for two couples

This was such a charming property conveniently located near the train station with access to a ferry. It was so nice to be close to that area while also in a more unique setting. Edwin was such a fantastic host. I communicated with him several times leading up to our arrival, and he always responded promptly. He also provided many tips for our brief stay. Upon our arrival, he also took the time to give us some more information about Amsterdam's layout. He truly appreciated his efforts.

Birthday vacation

Great stay. Awesome location conveniently located a free short ferry ride away from Amsterdam central station but from there you can go anywhere in the city via the metro and the center of Amsterdam.

We had a great stay at this property. The property was exactly as advertised and was just right for three people. It certainly was close to the center of Amsterdam but far enough to be quiet. I would certainly stay here again.

Excellent host, excellent property

Edwin was very helpful with suggestions around town and responded quickly. The property was clean, a short ferry ride to Amsterdam Centraal, and comfortable. Staying here made our visit to Amsterdam really pleasant.

Unique and Relaxing Stay on a Houseboat

Staying on this houseboat was a unique and relaxing experience, offering beautiful canal views and a peaceful atmosphere. The location was ideal—close to the city center yet quiet enough to enjoy some tranquility. The hosts were very friendly and provided great local tips, making our visit even better.

Loved the houseboat experience

The houseboat apartment is a perfect way to enjoy a visit to Amsterdam. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and the location is a short walk to the free ferry to the heart of historic Amsterdam. We would love to stay here again!

Nice houseboat close to all

Only minutes to free 24/7 ferry to downtown Amsterdam, close to all, restaurants, supermarkets, bike rentals, etc. Very quiet area. Great host, good communications, fast check in, available for advice on where to go.

Quiet and relaxed

We had everything we needed, close walk to all the local surrounding amenities, shops and Restaurant. A nice retreat after busy days in the city.

Lately we are discovering Eastern Europe which used to be a blindspot. We build our own Houseboat recently and enjoy sharing it with travellers. As an Art Historian i am familiar with the hotspots and cultural life to visit and my wife nows all about where to shop. Want to experience pure Amsterdam cultural life, just let us now.

Living on a Houseboat is unique in a busy city like Amsterdam. It provides lots of space and comfort as well as nice views over the water and a nice city garden. It gives you an all year of vacation-feeling compared to most homes because of the light surroundings and water. And for the location we have best of both worlds, just walk into town or take a bike into nature, and not having to much traffic in the direct surroundings.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Waterfront, musea and citylife all on a short walking distance away. Even swimming in the Canal if the watertemperature is OK in the summertime (july-aug-sept).
