Welcome to Majestic Forest Lodge!
Custom-built cedar home with wall of windows on prow front in delightful location at Yosemite West; walk across your backyard and into Yosemite National Park. Great room will delight you with soaring ceiling, stone fireplace, and large kitchen, providing ample space to entertain family and friends. You'll enjoy all four seasons of the year here - snow in winter, wildflowers in spring, hiking trails in summer, and glorious autumn colors everywhere!

The Space:
Two guest bedrooms, bathroom, and separate loft overlooking the great room are upstairs, while the powder room, laundry, and main bedroom en suite are on the primary level. Brand new air conditioning installed May of 2023!
Ping-pong table and 1300+ game arcade are in the garage. Reserve now!

Other Things to Note:
The EV charger is in the garage, rated 50 amps for fast charging. Please keep the place tidy after use for other guests.

Christmas Family Vacation

If words can express what we experience at this property a picture or video is best to share. Arriving at the property as it’s described before majestic entrance. Settled in the 1st night and the 24th was the highlight of the stay around 11:30 am mist took over the property soon rain started follow by snow! We have experienced snow before but nothing like this, being inside gather with all my Family with the view of it falling made it extra especial. Thank you for hosting us

Location, Location, Location - And then some!

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving 2024. Received a message in the app from the owner within 2 hours of arrival, checking to see that all was well. Got snowed in overnight, and he dispatched a snowplow to clear the driveway and surrounding streets. Been using VRBO since before it was "a thing", and this is among the top as far as service. Home is beautiful. All the comforts of home, in a unique setting, with picturesque windows, exposed wood throughout and yes, the sleeping loft IS a bedroom & fun game room as well. Well stocked (yes, wine opener, paper towels & laundry soap, too). This is truly a private/single-family resort. If you're looking for "cheap", well you're in Yosemite, so maybe a tent, but if you want comfort AND "Location, Location, Location", Stay Here! (so close to the Valley and all points of interest vs staying where we used to, in the community behind the Wawona Hotel and driving an hour plus to all destinations). Top Notch, Best Value for your hard-earned .

Comfort in the Yosemite Forest

This home was so comfortable. We had a great visit w/ Mama and baby bear sightings in the forest behind! We loved everything about it. The fold-out bed in the loft was counted as a bedroom, but no privacy/no door. We couldn't figure out how to pull the bed out either, so we shared the master downstairs. Minor inconvenience really.

Family get together

Wonderful home with all the amenities in Yosemite. The hosts were wonderful and communicated well throughout the process and checking in to make sure all was well. Would definitely recommend!

Elopement with family

Great communication, and home to stay for our small wedding ceremony. House was accommodating to all ages. We had three children under 6, and the house provided kids plates cutlery. Thank you so much!

Dream Yosemite Property

This is a beautiful property. It is very well appointed and the location is perfect. The house was very comfortable for our large family gathering. It was wonderful to be in the park. Sitting out on the deck at sunset was great. Highly recommended!

Great location, beautiful house

We love the Wawona area because it is so peaceful and less crowded. Highly recommend an early morning drive up to Glacier Point to see the sunrise.

Loved this home!

Our family of 8 totally enjoyed our one night stay here. It was perfect for us. We were able to cook a full meal for dinner and breakfast while enjoying the amazing views. Comfy beds and great showers. Thanks for the use of your lovely home.

Perfection

My family of 6 plus dog had a fantastic stay here. The house is lovely, and perfectly clean. The best aspect is staying inside the park, allowing us to skip the long lines to enter Yosemite. Everything was comfortable and as advertised. Strong recommendation!

I book the lodge for the night before my wedding. The host, Jimmy and Michael were very responsive and provided all the details for a smooth check-in. The morning of, we used the space to get ready. It was very spacious and accommodated our wedding party. The area around the lodge was beautiful for photo ops and we had our first look, right outside surrounded by trees. I would recommend staying at the lodge if you are planning to get married in Yosemite.

Excellent home close to Yosemite Village

Our group of 6 adults had a great stay at this beautiful home. The home is comfortable, well stocked, and a great space for a group of adults. We even enjoyed the garage arcade/ping pong table. The kitchen had everything we needed for a group dinner. A bonus is that it’s within the park (no park reservations needed) & an easy drive to Yosemite Village. Jimmy & Michael were quick to respond to any messages & provided detailed check-in & depart instructions. I would absolutely stay again!

Super place!

The house was great - very well equipped and a beautiful relaxing home. Just can't beat the location - virtually within the park - but so superior (for us at least!) to any other options in Yosemite. Hosts were extremely responsive to any questions or issues. We'd certainly return!

This property is amazing! Plenty of room, views, and amenities. Very clean. We were a party of 5 adults and 4 children and were very comfortable in this spacious, well appointed house. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful home - great location

The kitchen, dinning, and family room is a great place for family to eat and hang out together. We loved it! The overall location, so close to many park hikes and key locations was perfect!

Yosemite Property

To start, the house speaks for itself. Upon arriving, you will find that the photos don’t do it any justice. I booked it for my godfathers 80th birthday (6 adults; 2 dogs) and it was just perfect. Quiet and cozy with a great entertainment space and plenty of land. The house came equipped with everything we needed. Also, Michael and Jimmy were always accessible (even prior to checkin). They greatly helped me with prepping for the trip and always responded within the hour. Truly an amazing experience! Highly recommend!!!

Yosemite Heaven

Great location and beautiful home and surroundings. Close to Yosemite Valley. Being able to cook and have meals together was really nice. They have an awesome game room but we did not have time to use it. Saw lots of wild life.

Comfortable oasis above the smoke and heat in Yosemite

Our extended family of 10, ranging from 75 to 2, really enjoyed staying at this beautiful property in the woods of Yosemite West. We were cool and comfortable despite the heat, and a forest fire that filled the Valley with smoke had no impact on us in our lofty perch near Glacier Point. The house is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and serve family meals--condiments, spices, cooking oil, pots and pans, serving bowls, and more. The living room felt like an eagle's aerie with its soaring windows and beautiful decor. The master bath is especially well appointed, with a tub the size of a small swimming pool much enjoyed by the young ones at bath time. The older kids (and their parents!) were much impressed by the game room and had several enjoyable competitions there. I was happy just to sip the complimentary spritzer while lounging in a comfy chair gazing out the windows and admiring the occasional chipmunk. Definitely better than staying in Yosemite Valley!
