Megunticook Lake cottage with stunning views of Mount Megunticook

Recently renovated 3 bedroom 2 bathroom lakefront year round cottage located on one of the quietest areas of Megunticook Lake. This cottage sits 50 feet from the shoreline and offers panoramic views of Megunticook Lake and Mount Megunticook. Loons are commonplace at this part of the lake. This cottage rents for a maximum of 6 guests in 7 or 14 day intervals from Saturday to Saturday. Partial week bookings are not accepted and there is a strict no dogs policy. There is a large float system with plenty of room for chairs, boats, kayaks and paddle boards. A large deck with gas grill is also included. Heat pumps provide central air conditioning and heat if needed. Fiber optic high speed internet is provided for your computer and streaming needs. The cottage is a 15 minute drive to downtown Camden, but once you get there, you won't want to leave. A washer, dryer, and laundry detergent are included in the rental. All linens/towels are from LL Bean. Plenty of dish detergent, paper towels, baggies, foil, bath soap, shampoo and toilet paper are provided. Just bring yourselves! There is no cleaning fee for this property.

Beautiful cottage, clean, easy and had everything we needed for a great week. The dock is great, the deck is fantastic and all the seating on the porch is super comfortable. The entire cottage is right out of the LL Bean catalog. Perfect!

We had an amazing week on the lake. The house is beautiful and comfortable. The view from the house and the dock of the lake and Camden hills in the background is gorgeous. The house is very well-equipped with everything needed for cooking and enjoying the lake.

We love this home! The location on the lake is perfect. And if there are any issues, like bees, Jeff is incredibly responsive.I’m hesitant to rave about it too much because we want it to be available for us for many summers to come!

We had a wonderful sunny week at this stunning location! Communication with the host was excellent. We appreciate the many amenities and comfortable accommodations especially the enclosed porch for our morning coffee, the deck for family dinners and the tranquil beautiful view. We love swimming in the many coves, kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing as well as watching and listening to the loons. We also love the proximity to the country stores and shopping and restaurants in both Belfast and Camden. One of the best rentals we have ever experienced!

Once again, we had an absolutely amazing time this Megunticook Lake cottage! The location with the mountain, calm waters and close proximity to Norton Pond cannot be beat! We rent a pontoon boat for tubing, kayaks to ride under the bridge to Norton Pond and we brought our own inflatable paddle boards to enjoy the calm warm waters. We really enjoyed the deck for dinners and the dock for fishing and sitting in the sun. The inside porch offers a great view of the lake and the perfect spot to drink your morning coffee. We can’t wait to come back in August for another week!

This is the second time we have stayed at this cottage and it was just as good this time as last time. The hosts have provided everything you need and made it very easy to check in and out. All you need to bring is food :)We would definitely stay here again. It is so beautiful, clean and well-kept!

What a stunning cottage! We had a fabulous time enjoying every moment outside overlooking the lake and listening to the loons. The cottage was fresh and new and so comfortable. We hope to return next year!

Family Getaway

The property was incredible and appeared to brand new or recently renovated. We were on a multigenerational family trip. There was a plenty of space for adults to relax and our boys (3&6) loved playing in the lake and hanging out on the dock. Highly recommend.

Perfect view and wonderful house

Great week on the lake with our adult children. This house is very well-designed, and incredibly well stocked (the chefs in our family loved the pots/pans and sharp knives). The view and the loon calls can’t be beat. And not much beats cocktail hour on the dock.

Fantastic house and location

We had a great time during our one-week stay. The house is beautifully renovated, clean and comfortable. The view from the house of the lake and mountains is fabulous, and the dock is perfect for fishing, swimming, and kayaking. It was easy to prepare meals in the kitchen with all the needed cooking equipment. We would return in a heartbeat!

Third week

The weather was spectacular for most of the trip so we were able to take full advantage of the lake this year! The Loons were very active with their new baby and kept us entertained the whole time.

Beautiful cottage sitting right on the water’s edge.

Very well done renovation of a classic lake front cottage. We were very fortunate to have been there when a pair of nesting Loons and their two young were active. They were in front of us virtually the whole week. We can highly recommend this property!

Vacation back home in Maine

We moved from Maine about six years ago and while we lived there we used to rent a lakeside cottage every summer for vacation. This was the perfect spot to go back and spend a week at. It was close to our family and easy access for them to come visit us. It was a beautiful spot and the house was immaculate. We saw plenty of loons and even an eagle. Would definitely consider this again in the future.

Another Great Week!

This was our second week this year and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. The Cottage is so well done and comfortable that it feels like home immediately. Even the Loons were still with us all week! The weather wasn’t particularly good this week but the cottage had everything we needed to be happy anyway. Definitely coming back next year!

Picturesque Megunticook Lake Cottage

We had a fantastic family vacation at this picturesque cottage in a tranquil location! We loved the comforts provided in the cottage, the deck, the enclosed porch and the dock. We rented a pontoon boat, kayaks and paddle boards. Great fishing off the dock and beautiful cruises to private coves for swimming. Saw many loons and cranes and even a deer. Close to markets and restaurants in Belfast and Camden. Great host who provided clear instructions and plentiful supplies. We enjoyed everything about this rental and hope to come back next summer!

A magical week on Lake Megunticook!The views and location right on the lake cannot be any better! We spent a incredible week swimming in the warm water, paddle boarding, tubing, hiking, and just enjoying the beautiful and peaceful setting. The house is spotless and very comfortable, and has every modern amenity. We loved every minute. Thank you to our kind host!
