Walk or drive to the welcoming town of Wellfleet for local seafood, fishing harbour with marina, homemade ice cream, gift and antique shops, galleries, museums, restaurants, summer playhouse theatre, drive in movies, playgrounds, basketball & tennis courts and more! Such a fun little cottage! As pictured and described. The calmer waters of the bay side beach was nice for a family with young kids. Would absolutely stay again!

Adorable cottage with positively everything you need. The host is super responsive and kind. The beach is perfect for little kids with calm, warm water and plenty of shells!

Thank you Kerry. We do let every guest know before check in and include it on our welcome sheet that the tap water is safe to drink but does have a larger concentration of salt so if folks are sensitive to salt or have hypertension we advise everyone to use bottled water during their stay.

Lovely cottage close to the beach and Wellfleet

We loved our stay at the beach cottage! We found that the indoor space had been optimized, the small details were very well thought through, AC at night was a blessing, and the porch was great. Thanks for the great hospitality and for a wonderful stay.

Great location

Perfect location. The place has everything you need. I recommend a few more screens on the windows but other than that perfect spot.

Wonderful vacation

Cozy and clean Wellfleet cottage is the perfect location steps to the bay beach. We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was as pictured and very convenient that linens, towels, beach towels and beach chairs were provided. Also an outdoor shower. We would stay again!

Cozy, comfortable, charming and well-equipped cottage in an amazing location on a beautiful Bay-front beach minutes from downtown Wellfleet. Owners are helpful and responsive in every way.

Adorable beach cottage

My family of five had a great stay at Scallop Cottage. While this is definitely a cozy litte space, it was very clean and comfortable, and you can’t beat the location. Michele, the owner, was incredibly responsive to the couple of questions/issues that arose during our stay. Would definitely return for another stay.

This was the most charming little coastal cottage we could have dreamt of. All of the basics are covered here - just bring what you need to make the memories! The view from the living room and front porch were splendid. We enjoyed beachcombing with quick and easy access. The location is really great; easy to get around. In town for a family wedding; couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

What a quintessential cape cod cottage! We visited for three days with the five of us to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. It worked out perfectly. Scallop is laid out well and the location facing the private beach in the outer cape is ideal. Our fav features were the kids bedroom, kayak, and outside shower. We hope to be back soon!

Fantastic

The cottage was cozy and was just what we needed! Steps from the beach and close enough to P-town, Wellfleet and Truro but far enough away to make it a perfect getaway. First visit but would love to stay again next year. Definitely recommend! Communication was easy and all questions answered promptly! Great visit!

Wellfleet escape

Location is fantastic and cottage is cozy and well equipped. Beach is steps away, an easy drive to downtown Wellfleet and great location for running and cycling. Chilling out on the deck was one of our favourite things to do.Only other comment is that I would recommend bringing water with you as the onsite water is too salty to drink and the clothes line behind the cottage needs replacing as the cord is rotted.

Hi Justin Super happy you enjoyed your time in Wellfleet and at our cottage, Scallop. The water is tested and is safe to drink but as we advise in our welcome sheet to all guests if you are salt sensitive or have a condition where salt is restricted we do suggest bottled water which is available at all the local markets. The cord will be replaced, thanks fir the heads up ;)

Summer

It was a lovely cottage. A bit smaller inside than I thought. But the deck was a lovely way to spend time relaxing. And the location on the beach was fabulous.
