Quiet North beach condo, Unit 206B

The Savannah Beach & Racquet Club is a gated bay front complex located on the quiet North end of Tybee Island. The Bay is where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. There is a wonderful beach area just steps from the condo. This area of the beach is known to be very family friendly as it is less crowded. The location is great for dolphin watching, watching large ship containers travel into savannah port. If you enjoy walking along the beach, you can walk all the way to the South end of the Island, without leaving the sand. The Beach & Racquet Club is a great alternative to staying at a hotel room on the island. Enjoy more space and amenities like fully equipped kitchens, living room with cable TV, private balconies, tennis courts, and pool. All of the one-bedroom condos share use of a 14'x20' pool and 10"x10' kiddie pool. A&B building condos have coin-operate laundry on each floor. There is parking for 1 vehicle only, NO GOLF CARTS, TRAILERS, BOATS, JET SKI'S or OVERSIZE VEHICLES ALLOWED.

This unit is 2nd floor with a side view of the beach. Queen size bed in bedroom with 2nd TV, queen size sofa sleeper, 2 small bunk beds in hallway. Unit 206B

First stay at Tybee

Wonderful condo, close to the beach and the best dive bar on the island (HucaPoos). Easy check in and check out and a great value…will come back again

Only thing missing was the coffee.

We were fortunate enough to have paper towels, dish soap bath paper, bath starter set. The stay was very nice and quiet and we really enjoyed the location.

Weekend Anniversary Trip

We loved it!!!! The location was amazing. The beach beautiful. We loved watching the Ships come by. The condo was super cute and the view great. We will definitely be back.

Needs to be Updated

Stay somewhere else. The location can't be beat, but this condo needs a deep cleaning and updated furniture.

Tybee Getaway

Good location. Quiet beach area Kitchen pretty basic. Would be hard to depend on for actual meals. Hall bunks kid size only. Overall very enjoyable and great value

Great Little Place

Cute and clean with excellent views! Ask for the wifi password ahead of time, it wasn't given to us when we arrived. We didn't need it, but most guests would!

The basic property was fine. A little small. Definitely only designed for two people. The disappointing part was the furnishings, IE the bed, couch and recliner. These items are well past their prime. Sagging and collapsed cushions on the sofa, inoperable handles on the recliner and a mattress that sagged excessively toward the center. In addition, This is the most poorly supplied unit we have used in our nearly ten years of staying at VRBO properties. Controlling costs is an understandable concern. But, It should not be to the detriment of the renters comfort. The positives were the location, access to the beach area and the secure access to the property.

Family vacation and beach portraits

Condo was amazing. Awesome location. Right on the beach with two pools to choose from if we didn’t feel like going to the beach. I would suggest one thing. Leave more than one trash bag and maybe a couple of extra towels. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing. We will be back.

The floor was so dirty our feet were black after a short period. They did offer to come clean it but that would have been more of an inconvenience after we had all our stuff in here. The couch and it sunk down in the middle and the cushions were trashed. The bedsneeded to be replaced and sunk down in the middle and had a plastic sheet on it that made a noise with every slight movement So I had to sleep on the lower bunk and my husband had to sleep on the couch. There was no ladder to get to the top bunk. My grandson slept in the bed. Needless to say we did not get rest or relaxation. They offered to move us at some point but my husband didn’t want to move all this stuff again. Everything else seemed new and well appointed so we didn’t understand the living room furniture and the bed not fitting the cute aesthetic of the rest of the place. There were plenty of towels and racks to hang them on which I appreciated. one trash bag and one roll of TP. The views from the deck are wonderful. And the beach access and pool were wonderful. Would not recommend.

Great Place but No Wifi

The room was clean and spacious and we really enjoyed the area but since the pool closes at 9 pm we were a bit disappointed that we didn't have an option to watch movies or play games with no wifi in the room. Traveling with 2 pre-teens/teens we would have booked a different room had we known.

Good Quiet Spot

Quiet property on the far north end of the island. The bunk bed is not ideal for small children as there is not a ladder to access the top bunk but they do have a pull out couch that I don't remember seeing as a listed amenity that worked out perfectly for us. Beach access is very convenient, literally right outside the entrance to the building. The beach here isn't for everyone, it is actually more on the river than the ocean. I actually think some people would prefer this over the regular beach. If more traditional beach experience is desired, the North Beach parking lot is only about a 5 minute drive away (absolutely walkable distance). Overall we enjoyed out stay here.
