The location is wonderful. The river setting is beautiful. The pelicans are so fun to watch. Enjoyed all the rooms with tvs.

Our stay was very pleasant and only marred by cold, rainy weather, which stopped us from fully enjoying the deck and dock. Two pelicans entertained us during the brief respite from the rain.

We had a great time on our weekend trip to Madison. Location was super quick to get to downtown, house was clean, and we really enjoyed taking the canoe out on the lakes to explore.

It was lovely to be by the lake and have the view from the living room along with gas fireplace. So relaxing even in the off season.

We had a fantastic stay at this adorable lake house! The accommodations were perfect for our family of 6 adults - especially the beds! Great location to visit our son who attends UW-Madison and plenty of restaurants nearby. Jake was amazing with communication for check in and check out. Highly recommend!

A bit disappointed...I emailed the host thru VRBO on Th before our Sunday check in to see if the grill was gas or charcoal. He never replied. (It was charcoal!) I emailed him again when we checked in w 2 more ?s. Again, still never replied. To date. No return email except ask for 5 star review after we checked out.The house was clean inside. But could have used a sweep of cobwebs on the deck and sliding door and front door. For 150 cleaning fee, this should have been done. (We wanted to sweep it ourselves. But no broom to be found)Kayaks but no PFDs.3 of the remotes each had only one battery - instead of 2. Very strange. Two of the 3 bulbs in the upstairs bathroom were burnt out. Thank goodness for the one bulb that flickered.Also, Beltway is right across the water. If you look at the pictures carefully, you can see it. It is much closer than the pictures show. Obviously, no mention ofthat. The location was good. The beds were comfortable. The house inside was clean. We just expected a bit more for the .Most of these things could be rectified,(except for the Beltway) with a little TLC.

Graduation Weekend

We stayed here for graduation weekend and it worked out perfectly! I booked over a year in advance, which was perfect so I did not have to stress over finding a hotel!

Great time at the lake!

Grwat place to have a family gathering! Enjoyed the dock, the deck for outside meals and our granddaughter loved the games.

Downtown Madison Trip

We absolutely loved this place! Perfect spot with a pier on the water. My kids were catching fish within minutes. The house was perfect and Jake couldn’t have been easier to work with. Highly recommend!

The host was very accommodating. Very nice place to stay. The only thing I would change is the upstairs bathroom fan was loud for those staying in the upstairs rooms. Other than that I would highly recommend and will be staying again if I get to Madison.

Yahara River Retreat

The host Jake was very responsive to inquiries before we even booked the property. The home is in a great location on the Yahara River with access to Lake Waubesa, Lake Monona and Lake Mendota. There are serval nice sit down restaurants accessible via a 5 minute boat ride or a 5 minute walk.

Perfect for a quiet family stay!

The house was perfect for the 4 adults we had staying. Adorable house; extremely clean and great location. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen was spacious enough for us to make dinner one of the nights. Highly recommend!

ENTRY
There is a keypad located at the side door for a simple keyless entry. Entry code will be provided to you 72 hours before arrival. The code is changed after every guest.

PARKING
There are 4 parking spots in the driveway on the property.

INTERNET/CABLE/TV's
There is reliable high speed internet throughout the lakehouse.
There are TV's in all the bedrooms & living room all offer SmartTV features, available for you to log into your own account to enjoy!

GRILL
We have a Charcoal grill on the property but we do not have charcoal. The guest will be responsible for providing this. We do however have the utensils such as tongs, burger flipper, and grill scraper.

KITCHEN
Fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and all of the basic kitchen essentials; Pots/Pans/Plates/Cups/ Utensils.

WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE:
For your safety, we do not allow guests to use the wood-burning fireplace
