Plenty of room

We had 7 adults and 2 kids and there were plenty of beds for everyone. Loved the upstairs kids area!! Great place for large families.

Great family options

Adult siblings with spouses and children from 2-16 years had a great time walking two blocks to the sand paradise! Really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!!

This was everything we expected from a modest beach house. Definitely enough space to stretch out a small family and the upstairs play / sleep area for the kids was a plus. The beach is a little bit of a walk, but made up for it by being very chill compared to the beaches nearer to town. There was a little bit of noise from the road though it wasn't a problem at night.

View and close to beach

While you are right up against the highway, the traffic wasn't too bad. There was great views of the ocean from the place and you're only about 100 yards or so away, so easy walk down to the beach. While it is a bit of an older property, it was nicely setup and there was plenty of space should you want to have larger groups there. Arch Cape is nicely located, while it is a short drive either North or South for anything, it makes it that much quieter there!

Just a few steps from the beach

The property is lovely, and located a very short walk from the beach as well as a very convenient short drive from Cannon Beach. Check in and check out were both straightforward. Our only complaint would be that the range had seen better days, but I expect that our group places more importance than most on doing our own cooking when on vacation.

Family reunion on the beach

The Shutterbug was a wonderful place to stay. My wife and I had three grown kids and their spouses/partners together for a reunion on the beach. It's a short walk to the beach. The house had everything we needed and the price was right (compared to similar beach homes nearby). Highway 101 is right behind the house but we never really heard it. We will be coming back sometime in the future.

Wonderful stay

The house was perfect for our family beach getaway. The walk to the beach was about 5 minutes and relatively easy for all ages. The house is about 10-15 minutes from Cannon Beach and Tolovana Park area. The property management company contacted me via text messaging a couple of times checking to see if there was anything they could do to make our stay enjoyable. There were a couple of issues with appliances and we reported the issues to property management so they could attend to them after our stay was complete. Overall, the house was above our expectations. We will be looking to book the Shutterbug again next year for our family vacation.

Family getaway!

This was our first time in Oregon and it was beautiful! My father in-law has stage 4 cancer and he wanted to do one more salmon fishing trip… so we booked here! The property is so cute and walking distance to the beach! The neighborhood is quiet and clean! We felt like we were in the middle of everything…from Tillamook to Astoria! The property manager was easy to communicate with as we only had one issue of not being able to use the dishwasher! They responded immediately! We hope to come back in the summertime! Thanks for helping us make memories!

Quirky Little Cottage on the Cape

Took the whole family out west to visit the Oregon coast. Arch Cape: First off this is an amazing place to stay if you want to visit Cannon Beach but don't want to pay Cannon Beach prices. The beach here is every bit as amazing and almost completely empty. Cannon Beach is a 5 min drive away. The property was great. Good gathering area on the first floor. AMAZING upper floor for kids. My daughter loved running around up there. They included books and toys for the kids which was great. The property was clean, they welcomed us with coffee, were responsive to questions. Easily a 5 star review. The property is pretty close to the highway but still feels private. The beach is a 2 minute walk away.

We had a wonderful week staying here and would happily return. The house has a cozy beach-town charm and served as a great home base for exploring the Oregon Coast. Beach access was easy and just a short walk away, which we appreciated.The Wi-Fi worked very well, which was especially important since our Verizon cell service was limited in the area. The beds were comfortable, and the house had everything we needed for a family vacation.The home has a somewhat dated feel, and some rooms were cooler than others, but extra blankets were provided and kept us comfortable. Being close to Highway 101 means there is some road noise, particularly from the primary bedroom, though it generally did not interfere with our enjoyment of the stay.We had very little need to contact the hosts during our visit, which speaks to how smoothly everything went. Overall, we made many great family memories here and are grateful for the opportunity to stay in this charming coastal home.
