Absolutely peaceful and relaxing setting. Attention to detail made the cabin very inviting and cozy. Definitely book this if you are looking to get away and not be disturbed. Castaway is a must for busy people looking to unwind. The hosts are great and communicated as needed.

This property was above and beyond what we hoped for! Jack and Christie are the best hosts. They met us and told us if we needed anything just let them know. The cabin was spotless. The decor was beautiful. The kitchen has everything you need! The bed is so comfy! The river outside is a small slice of heaven - I love the sound of running water. We saw 4 deer during our stay. Highly recommend! It is our favorite place to stay in NC

Castaway is a beautiful property right on the river. The cabin has everything you need and is spotless. You can hike the property and enjoy the privacy in your own back yard. It's peaceful and very private. Close to dining, grocery shopping and hiking. Can't wait to return! :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property and cabin are beautiful. The setting on the river is picture perfect and the cabin itself is impeccable. The hosts anticipate every need and are accessible for any questions. We loved spending time outside and cooking at the cabana. It’s a peaceful getaway with close access to all the area has available. Definitely a 10/10! We’d love to visit again.

Castaway Cabin exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail was above and beyond. Truly one of the best experiences we’ve had. You can sit on the front porch and enjoy the Pigeon River or move to the Cabana for another relaxing view. They have everything you need for your stay. Waynesville is very close by. Maggie Valley and the Blue Ridge Parkway was a great drive as well and topped it off with a visit to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.Communication with the owners was excellent.

Everything was perfect! Great communication with the owner! Cabin was very private and overlooked the Pigeon River! Everything you need is included in the Cabin, pots, pans, shampoo and conditioner, body wash and they even provided robes! We will definitely be back again.

We loved this cabin so much! It was peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to disconnect and connect with nature. The views, the river, and the whole atmosphere were amazing. We had such a wonderful time and would definitely love to come back!

It was the perfect spot for our 30th anniversary -- close to Maggie Valley & Waynesville downtown restaurants, plus a 50-minute ride to the casino hotel (which my husband had a 1-day conference at during our stay). Very clean & upscale cabin with all the right touches!:)

SERENITY! If it what you seek, Castaway is the best place. This was the 2nd time spending our anniversary here and it was wonderful! The hosts, Jack & Christy are such wonderful people. They've thought of everything for you to disconnect and relax. Leaving was a little sad, can't wait to come back!

We spent a long time choosing special places to stay as part of our trip to the US and the cabin exceeded expectations. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and lovely personal touches. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings and offers much more than most rental properties - clearly a labour of love for the owners. Watching the (natural) world go by from the porch, come rain or shine, is something we will never forget - the property is solid and would be great at any time of year.

This cabin provides a private oasis of serenity and relaxation. The cabin is so clean and very comfortable. The kitchen provided everything you need to enjoy cooking away from home. The view of the mountains and river are amazing! The host is very accommodating and helpful in making sure your vacation is one you will cherish. We hope to return to this cabin soon!

The host was excellent. Very helpful with whatever was needed. Cabin was very clean, secluded and the creek was very relaxing and peaceful. This is the place to vacation.

This cabin is immaculate in so many ways, the craftmanship, its location, the feeling of security as its located on private property, the hosts are amazing and genuinely interested in your stay being the best it can be, and you can walk down to the rivers edge and fish all day!!!Plus Waynesville is one of the best if not THE best town in WNC.

We loved this private comfy retreat! The cows were so cute and the scenery was lovely. We loved relaxing in the cozy cabin, and Jack and Christy were wonderful hosts!

The cabin was as advertised. Everything was clean, well, appointed and the surroundings were peaceful. The hosts were exceptional. They even left treats for us upon arrival. Would definitely book this property again.
