Come and completely relax in this comfortably rustic three-bedroom home perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the scenic, storied Mendocino Coast. Located on a quiet, gated road ideally situated West of famed California Highway One, this cozy retreat is perfect for a family vacation, a weekend with friends, or a romantic getaway.
A beautiful eight mile drive from the historic village of Mendocino, this is the perfect home base for wine tasting, beach combing, kayaking, hiking, biking or shopping. Simply relaxing is fine, too, and you will find the peaceful setting and sea air perfect for sipping a local wine on the expansive porch, soaking in the private hot tub, or reading that book you've been trying to find time for. Treat yourself to the many fine local restaurants, or stay in and create a gourmet meal of your own in the fully equipped kitchen.
Each of the three bedrooms feature brand-new luxury pillow-top Queen-size bedsets. There are two bathrooms; one featuring a vintage claw-foot tub perfect for a warm bath, and the other a double shower. All linens are of course provided, as well as an assortment of games, jigsaw puzzles and books to enjoy. Relax or be inspired; it's up to you!

loved our stay the home had everthing and more that you would need Stephen was very fast to answer question. the view was awesome and hot tub very relaxing. Comfortable & Beautiful Views!

We had a lovely long stay here with some family and friends joining us for shorter spells. Everyone remarked on how comfortable and well equipped the house was, and we all fell in love with the views from the house and deck. The location is great, and you'll be relaxed in nothing flat!

Wonderful spot as base camp for a long weekend girl's trip in Mendocino area. While it was foggy weekend, this home was a welcome, warm launch pad to linger over coffee and yoga in the morning, and come home to for dinner paired with fabulous local wine and hot tub soaks in the evenings. The kitchen was so well appointed we opted to make all our dinners and most of our picnic lunches at home. The beds, linens and couches were super comfy and we loved having the toasty cast iron stove to take off the chill. Easy access to so many fun experiences: wine tasting (thanks Stephen for the Navarro and Roederer recommendations!), sea cave kayaking, coastal bike ride, the glorious botanical garden, railbiking along Pudding Creek, woodsy redwood walks and puttering in Mendocino. And the Dahlia's! Glorious!Perfect long weekend.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this fantastic house. The views were incredible, and we really enjoyed the wrap around porch, hot tub, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and that it was so comfortable for our pup as well. Right off the highway but not noisy. Super easy quick communication with the owner too. Would definitely recommend, and we would for sure stay here again!

Cosy coastal visit

I've stayed at Stephen's home before, this was my third visit. It's a great little getaway and close to so much natural beauty. it's nice to see the ocean from the deck and upper rooms. House was well equipped and while not fully modernized, it's comfortable and close to some great hiking. Dog friendly!

Our best retreat

Once again a beautiful, restful, magical stay in a wonderful house. The location near the mouth of the Navarro river is perfect for our Irish Setter to play, and Mendocino town isn't far. The hot tub on the deck adds a very special treat.

Family vacation

Awesome house to stay at with family. Close to hiking trails and beaches and maybe 15 minutes from Fort Bragg. Host was awesome to deal with and a Calvin and Hobbes fan, so can't go wrong.

Perfect family spot

Just a perfect spot to come and hang out with family. Very quiet, private road with a great view. Very well stocked property with all the things you could need. It was very homey, with a rustic charm. It was not cluttered, and I felt like I could just settle in here.

Cozy and Convenient w Coastal View

What a wonderful weekend. We came down from Oregon for a friend’s wedding in Elk, everything was perfect and Stephen’s house had everything we needed. Got to see some deer and even a baby fox on the property. Great house in a great location. Thank you!

The perfect place to chill.

This was our second stay at this house. It’s comfortable and well stocked with lovely surroundings and a stellar view. Love the hot tub and the big comfy chairs on the deck, and the owners are responsive and quick to reply to communications. This really is the perfect spot to relax!

Highly recommend this beautiful place!

My elderly parents, sister, daughter and 2 dogs stayed at Steven’s pace and loved everything about it. The hot tub with a view of the ocean was so nice, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied with everything we could want. We felt very welcome and taken care of. Definitely planning on another visit.
