To the many responses: the same housekeeper cleaned the cabin 2 years ago she is meticulous and OCD. She has cleaned the cabin for 9 years. The wrap around patio can be blown off and a little wind can kick up some pine needles; the house is surrounded by pine trees, and a little sap would be excepted. Plus, this is the first time I'm hearing about the deck. There are always a fresh roll of paper towels and half the time there is a 1/2 roll in the cabinet, again she never stated this. I'm not sure about the dust and breadcrumbs, she never sent a picture. The picture she did send of the downstairs queen had a few pebbles on the concrete floor, Again the cabin is in the forest. The picture she sent of a sparkling clean bathroom had a little circle edited into the photo at the top of ceiling, blowing it up I could not see a web, but again. spiders can create a web within hours. My housekeeper lives around the corner and does drive to clean other cabins along with her husband who works for Lake Cushman Security. They both stated on multiple days there were 4 cars in the drive with a dog she never disclosed and 2 extra guests another lady and a baby in a stroller. She was over the guest count by 2. She left the grill disgustingly full of grease (on overload) with no effort to clean, even when she initialed in the contract that the guests need to clean the grill or a 50 fee will be accessed. As far as stripping the beds she stripped everything down to bare mattress. We do ask the guest to strip blankets, sheets and pillowcases. If the comforter got soiled, we ask it to be stripped and put in the laundry. She stripped all the beds that the guests slept in. This puts tremendous pressure on the housekeeper to flip a 3-story cabin in 5 hours. Yes, the comforters are on a schedule to be cleaned. She did towels and they were folded if she did other laundry she left them in a pile with no note stating they were clean. When I sent an email about these issues. I got push back and hostility. I had to ask twice about the dog, She finally said it is a service dog; I would never charge for a service dog but do not like the deception about not disclosing. Interesting fact, she sent a booking for 2027 the minute they left the cabin. It does take logistics to send messages to contact the guest, housekeeper, collect photos and get back with everybody. The booking expired before I could gather appropriate information to make a decision to report damage and if I would rent to this guest. Unfortunately, I will not rent to this guest again.
