This spacious 2 bedroom and 1 bath cottage on Lake Rouseau has everything you need to for a great vacation. Bring your fishing gear or just spend time relaxing. It is located on Crystal River’s premier large base lake. The convenience of the nearby boat ramp will make your fishing easy and fun. You will also have direct access to the Gulf of Mexico from that ramp. Bike or walk the area trails. There are 2 kayaks and a canoe for your use. How about a round of golf after a little fishing, so don’t forget your clubs. There are several championship courses nearby. The open concept of this home is comfortable and great for entertaining. To really appreciate the cottage, take a moment to view our photos. This is truly a place to take pleasure in the outdoors, fishing, hiking, boating or simply watching the sunset.

The Nature Coast of Florida not only has great fishing but many amenities minutes away.

Fantastic location

The house had everything you could possibly need . We loved the quiet and serene location ( no mosquitoes) and the proximity toGreat restaurant and countless rivers - you can paddle 7 different rivers all within 1 hour drive .Communication with the host was fantastic- thank you for a wonderful stay - we will be back

Perfect spot by the lake

This home was perfect for our stay. My teenage son loved the kayaks and canoe's and the location was ideal for us.

Lake Rousseau get away

The location was excellent, the lake serene and relaxing. The cottage pictures were probably taken a while ago, but still reflect a comfortable place to get away from busy schedules and demands of city life. We tried fishing from the dock, unsuccessfully. Didn’t use the kayaks and canoe available because there isn’t a ramp or launching pad, though there is the one a mile away, if you can strap the kayak to your car’s roof.

Amy was an amazing host! This property was well stocked with everything we needed! Was close to shopping, Crystal River and all the Spring’s! Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect dog friendly Lake house

We really enjoyed our stay at Amy’s lake house. Having a fenced in yard was great for the pups and we really enjoyed the dock and water craft that they had available for us. The home was clean and had great views of the backyard.

Nice Cottage on the Lake

We enjoyed our stay at the lake cottage. I enjoyed drinking coffee by the lake every morning. We were able to cook out on the grill and enjoy the campfire. We had everything we needed which is super helpful with kids. Amy was very nice and accommodating.

Great location

Nice little cottage right on the lake. Very clean, and nicely decorated. Appliances like new, and kitchen well stocked with cookware and utensils. We were very comfortable there for our stay during the holidays. So nice to wake up and see all the wildlife on the lake, and the neighborhood was great to walk. Very quiet.

Great Water Adventure

This home was the perfect home base for us. We went scalloping and did not have super luck but had a blast and the dog loved it as well. We did see a water moccasin and a couple gators but it is wild Florida after all! We will back earlier next year.

Just what we were looking for!

Amy was the best hostess! She promptly answered the couple of questions we had. The cottage was clean, cute and everything that we needed was provided. We loved the artwork and the family pictures made it feel like home. We and our pooch appreciated the fenced back yard! We were able to chat a little bit with the nice neighbors, but yet had all the peace and seclusion we hoped for. The two weeks went by very quickly.

Relaxing by the lake

Very clean, comfortable beds, double head shower with lots of hot water, lots of seating options @ tv had lots of premium choices, fenced yard for our dog. We really enjoyed watching the lake, sitting under the shady trees & our little campfires in the evening. Publix sells wood for $5. Crystal River is 15 minute drive; Homosassa Springs Park well worth visiting. The only negative was the pump runs at night probably for sprinklers & is noisy. Thank you for being a wonderful host!

Perfect stay for the lake

The house itself was fantastic. Very clean and well stocked. Communication with Amy was superb and any issues we had were promptly addressed. My only advice is that if your plan is to enjoy only the lake than this is a perfect house for your visit. Access to the gulf however is a different story. You have to go the the ramp just past the lake ramp and launch your boat into what I would describe as a large creek to access the main river leading to the gulf. This "creek" is very shallow at low tide and filled with rocks, logs, and stumps which made navigating it in my 20ft deck boat nearly impossible. I would suggest finding a different ramp if you plan on accessing the gulf. Overall the stay at the house itself was 5 stars!

Amazing property perfect getaway

This property is beautiful, quiet and serene. It looks exactly as advertised. The view over looking the lake is spectacular! The fenced in back yard is perfect for our dog. There is even a cute little doggy door! She loved to lay on the dock (never alone cause we did see baby alligators) and she also loved to lay infront of the giant sliding glass doors looking out. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with appliances and gadgets. The bed in the master is SO COMFORTABLE! I haven’t slept that good in a long time. We have stayed at a few places in Crystal River and is by far our favorite. Lastly Amy is kind and understanding and responded to all my questions and issues promptly. You can’t go wrong staying here.

Safety and serenity on the lake ❤️

We rented this little house on Lake Rousseau in crystal River so I could be near my dog agility trainer who lives in the area. I was competing in the AKC Nationals for the first time. My husband was going to be flying back n forth to Pa so I needed a place where I would feel safe. I can’t say enough about this little place. I felt totally safe and secure with the neighbors being close by. SittIng on the pier each night was beautiful and watching all the wildlife was awesome! Our fav restaurant was waterfront social but we had plenty of awesome meals. One to note is the Mexican place Los Magueyes on the Gulf to Lake hwy near Publix. Fabulous!!!! Fish tacos and shrimp enchiladas.....YUM!!! This house was very clean, quiet and well appointed plus the bed was super comfy as were the couches!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone traveling to the Crystal River area!!!

The home was very nice with open living/dining area. We were able to connect to the Wi-Fi easily and enjoyed the back yard area with the beautiful views, sunsets and nature. We have a small dog who enjoyed the fenced in back yard. The location is ideal for activities in Crystal River as well as Homosassa. We look forward to another visit.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful 2-bedroom, 1-bath home on the lake! The property was spotless and well-kept, with plenty of great parking, which made arriving and unloading a breeze. The kitchen was amazing – fully stocked, modern, and perfect for cooking meals while enjoying time together.The lake views were stunning, and we loved spending mornings on the patio soaking in the peaceful scenery. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway!Our host was fantastic – welcoming, attentive, and incredibly easy to communicate with. Their great communication made check-in and check-out seamless, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a lakeside retreat with all the comforts of home.

Wonderful Trip

House was extremely clean and Amy was wonderful. Despite past reviews complaining about sea grass overgrowth near dock had no problem catching a decent sized cat fish. Hughes net satellite isp is a bit lacking but not much can be done about that as it's a little remote. Thanks Amy for an awesome stay!

Beautiful lake house

The reservation and check-in process were super simple thanks to support from the owners. The home is right on the lake and has a dock and outdoor screened in sitting area as shown in the pictures. The inside of the house is vintage but very well maintained and very clean. It literally had anything and everything we needed for our one week stay.The house is located close to some pretty cool attractions as well, including rainbow Springs and the town of Crystal River.I highly recommend renting this house if you’re looking for lakefront access and the ability to fish coupled with easy access to local tourist destinations in the nature coast area.

Amazing sunsets

We had a relaxing time!! The sunsets were absolutely stunning to watch, my girls were disappointed because they couldn’t swim in the water but were excited to see an alligator everyday, And gave us the opportunity to drive to other parts of Florida to check things out, Check in /out was easy, Amy had everything we needed to feel at home.
