Deda is an excellent host. She made sure to check in with our group to make sure we had everything and was very responsive to all questions. Beds are very comfortable. The animals were so entertaining (we gave them nicknames) and the location is excellent.

Great stay

This was a fun adventure to stay at with peaceful views and some farm animals to see. Loved the peacocks. Very clean house that felt comfortable and cozy.

Wonderful stay. It was clean, well decorated and cozy. Snowed 6 inches overnight and the host cleaned off our car and had the driveway plowed by 8am. It was so considerate. We loved visiting the animals and the peaceful country setting.

Great Place for Girls Weekend

6 of us came up for Prelude to Christmas at Amana. Deda & Neil have created a cozy, welcoming environment. It was a great stay!

Very nice house. Clean and comfortable. Weather was to cold to walk outside but if it was nice, it would have been fun to walk around see all the animals.

Fantastic Farm!!

Our family loved staying on the farm! Everyone was comfortable and had the most amazing time walking around and experiencing the animals and beautiful property! It was a very peaceful stay and we look forward to visiting again.

Entertaining farm animals

Easy short drive to the Amanas. High point was watching the animals. Very private and comfortable beds.

Great location, fabulous hosts!

Great location to the Amanas. House was well stocked with all necessities and beds were very comfortable. The animals were a hoot and the hosts were the kindest we’ve ever had at a VRBO. They showed us around the property and the beautiful wedding venue they own.

Oh my, did we have a wonderful weekend at the Modern Farmhouse! It was a perfect place to have Christmas with our two daughters, their husbands, and their little ones. The house had everything we needed. I was especially grateful for the Christmas tree to place our presents under, the large sectional, two dining tables, and views of the animals out every window! The friendly spotted pig was our favorite! Memories were made that we will cherish forever.

Best place ever

Even on a cold windy December day I would highly recommend staying here! Deda was the best hostess! The house was clean and inviting! The beds were so comfortable! And the animals were the highlight!

Great view

Our stay was peaceful, beautiful, and the owners were very kind. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Loving outdoor farm animals is a must, which we do love them that is one of the reasons we chose this place. I would recommend you staying there. 👍

Spring Break Getaway

Very wonderful experience! Very inviting! The farm is gorgeous and peaceful! The guest house is absolutely breathtaking! So clean and smelled so good! I want that house for myself! Thank you to the owners for making this a fabulous experience for me and my daughter!

The views of the Iowa countryside surrounding our vrbo were outstanding. It made for a relaxing couple days. Menagerie added interest. Lots of photos sent to kids/grandkids.Main spaces in house were neat, clean. Comfortable beds, well-furnished linens and decor. Lots of attractive living spaces in which to relax throughout house. Only complaint about kitchen was that the freezer was in need of defrosting. Otherwise, well-stocked kitchen with any utensils/appliances one would need. Having two bathrooms was great. The bath in close proximity to all three bedrooms was convenient. Now, I'm not a farm-girl, so bird poop on patio made me wish I had an outdoor broom to sweep. I enjoyed all the animals...and they weren't a problem even when they wanted to share patio with us. Fun seeing them up close...and friendly. We regretted that we didn't get to meet the hosts as they were out of town. We got to see the nearby event venue and were impressed. It would be cool to be there on a Thursday night when there's musical entertainment.
