Beautiful property in a scenic location. I had a terrific time here and can’t imagine anyone not enjoying their stay at Stop The Clock.

The home was a nice quiet family friendly retreat. All of the amenities were as advertised. It was close to stores and restaurants and above all Kinnick Stadium which was the purpose of our trip. Would definitely stay there again if we were in the neighborhood.

Very thoughtful and considerate guests. The house sparkled, laundry was minimal, and virtually no trace that they had been there. Thank you for this bonus to our housekeeper!

Just like home!

Perfect stay in rural Amana country. House was very homey, clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Hostess was great and her brother who we met is a great guy!! Wonderful place to stay!

We love this place!

Peaceful and beautiful. Convenient to all Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area locations. The owners are THE BEST hosts. Our family has stayed here multiple times. We’re always thankful to be able to stay in such a clean, comfortable, and well equipped home.

Cozy and peaceful

The home is lovely. Quiet farm area with quick access to shopping, food, and entertainment. The house had all of the amenities we needed and was very comfortable. Will for sure be staying again in the future.

Blessed to stay at Stop the Clock

The Oxford house is beautiful and peaceful. Our family loves staying here. The hosts are gracious and thoughtful. We appreciate the attention to detail in the house, with amazing towels, excellent kitchen, and beautiful surroundings. We are always blessed to stay at Stop the Clock.

This is a really nice ranch house in between Tiffin and Amana. Host was wonderful, gave me some house history; decorated as though you’ve stepped back in to your grandmother’s house . Lots of memories. Lots of lists and house rules, which I understand.So you know in advance, the carpet in the dining room and the living room is white.House is well-equipped with whatever you need.

Rural living

We stayed for family reasons. All live in vicinity, so it made a good place for our base. The property was great and the hospitality of the host was fabulous.

Awesome spot

We had a wonderful time - very pleasant and relaxing. As we have relatives in the area, it was a great place for us to gather. The patio is awesome, great views including a huge old oak tree. We spent a lot of time there - coffee & breakfast in the morning, dinner in the evening. We’ll be back!

Stop The Clock

Kathleen and her brothers were excellent hosts and a shinning example of Iowa hospitality! It's very clear that their family home ( built by their father) has been well maintained and cared for. The location was beautiful, peaceful and tranquil... I will definitely stay again.

Perfect

Stop the clock was the perfect stay for our family. Only a short drive to our event in Coralville. A big yard for our two young boys to play. Loved the farm county. The Host family members we talked to were all very friendly. Would recommend to others that prefer a simple home instead of a hotel.

Location Location Location on this one! A Beautiful country home surrounded by farm land. We even got awesome farm fresh tomatoes delived to our door. If you are looking for a relaxing beautiful country home this one is for you. It made our getaway!

Perfect access to Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area

Stop the Clock’s location is perfect. We have stayed in this beautiful home several times. The location provides easy access to Cedar Rapids/Marion and all Iowa City area destinations. The best part is the PEACE and QUIET! The farm is so beautiful. The mornings are tranquil here, especially with a nice cup of coffee, looking out at the Iowa landscape. After visiting friends and family all day, we love to come back to the house and enjoy the peaceful property. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

A Wedding Time To Remember

Stop The Clock is a cozy, clean house, with a great view. We loved coming "home" each night from busy wedding activities. The beds are very comfortable. We also loved waking up to watch the sun rise as we sat and drank our coffees at the kitchen counter. Kathleen is the best host, so friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We are from out of state,and she even helped us find the best local pizza place for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. Everything was perfect!

Much better option than staying at any hotel

Lovely home about 15 minutes away from the facility one of my athlete was competing in in Coralville (just outside of Iowa City). Check in was a breeze, and there was plenty of space inside and outside to walk around and enjoy the time we had outside of competition. Wifi was free, and fast enough to stream Netflix on the television as well as other things on the laptop at the same time. Plenty of room available for cooking and dining. Would highly recommend for anyone that wants to be close to Iowa City, but far enough to be able to relax without all the noise and bustle of the city.
