Large, private backyard for fun or quiet contemplation featuring Newly Renovated kidney shaped Salt water, heated pool, Rubber decking around pool, outdoor shower and modern outdoor furniture, including lounge chairs and dining area.

Tropical property featuring many fruit trees including mango, banana and mulberry, as well as many species of palm trees.

Full chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, French door fridge with ice maker, Jenn-Air stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and juicer.

Three bedrooms featuring Queen sized beds with fresh linens; one bedroom has an additional convertible/twin sized bed perfect for children. Additional convertible/twin sized bed in living room and a 50" smart TV to enjoy.

Great house

Amazing!

The Palm House is exactly as listed. It is a beautiful, open space house that feels like home. The house was extremely clean upon check in, everything needed for our stay was availably ( kitchen utensils and cookwear, linens, towel, beach chairs, beach towels, etc). We used the pool every day and couldnt have been happier. The landscaping was a nice bonus as it is beautiful. We would recommend the Palm House to anyone considering a stay in Sarasota.

We LOVED this property! The host was amazing, house comfortable, clean and beautiful! The kitchen is fabulous and perfect how it opens to the dining area and living room. The pool and outdoor amenities were better than expected. We made ourselves right at home. Looking forward to going back!!

Solid Spot to stay

Great house, pool and host. Somewhat far from downtown and shops (traffic is brutal). However, the house was perfect and not one issue.

Thanksgiving in Sarasota

This place is so pretty! Comfortable for 5 adults, plenty of places to hang out and relax, well equipped kitchen, nice big table for eating in or games.

Chic Cottage - Would Not Hesitate to Book Again

We love this property’s aesthetic, chill vibe, pool, landscaping, and location! Central location - easy commute to beaches, interstate/main roads, grocery, restaurants, 30 min fro SRQ airport.Cleanliness - Clean and exactly as described.Beach Accessories - Lovely to have beach items (chairs, cooler, bag, umbrella, awning, floaties) accessible.Pool - lovely and warm. Hot tub - isn’t really a hot tub but rather a ledge in the pool with jet. No worry for us as it was still an enjoyable spot to perch and chat. Landscaping - Lovely! Up lighting was a nice touch. Loved the many trees and plants. Enjoyed watching the squirrels and bunny in the garden. Bedrooms - Simplistic styling, nice. Comfy beds. Floor plan is a bit different with having to go through one bedroom to get to another. and although louvered doors fit the aesthetic, not great for privacy. Bathrooms - Good water pressure.Overall, loved and would book again!

Good Stay

House is clean which is important. Almost felt as if I was in my own home. We booked this as 3 couples given a 3 bedroom listing. For family this would be perfect but as couples the last bedroom seemed to be an add on connected to the middle bedroom which had one of the two bathrooms. In order to exit the bedroom you had to walk through middle bedroom with no separate doorway to the common areas of the house. This was a little akward if someone needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Doors also were louvred between rooms so you can hear everything. Again, perfect home for families or if you are comfortable with the above layout. That is our only thing. Everything else just fine and would recommend. Host very responsive and accommodating.

Great stay!

The Palmhouse is in a suburban neighborhood- a quick drive to grocery stores and 15 mins from Siesta Key beaches. It was convenient and a comfortable place to stay. The owner was quick to respond and very helpful when needed. The pool is nice and the shed had some coolers, beach chairs, etc we could use. It may be worthy to note that one bedroom of the house is only accessible by walking through another bedroom- that didn’t bother us. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back if we were ever in the area again.

Quaint and relaxing

We stayed 4 days and the property manager was extremely courteous and allowed us to extend our stay an additional night. The only thing that I wish I’d realized is that it was a bit further from the beach than I’d of liked, the beds a bit uncomfortable and the ceilings are a bit low. All teeny tiny things. We loved our stay and the beautiful pool. We’ll return for sure.

A Little Oasis

We had a wonderful stay. Well equipped with a nice private heated pool and quiet backyard. It lists as having a hot tub but it’s just a seat in the actual pool. Didn’t make a difference to us. We would recommend and will stay here again.

Excellent house, excellent location!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this house this past week! A wonderfully updated mid-century modern with plenty of room and a very nice pool when you just want to relax at the house. It’s also in an excellent location! Just a short drive to any of the beaches you want to visit and to anything else in the Sarasota area. Many grocery stores, restaurants or other shopping you would want to do just short drives away. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely look to stay here again when we return to Sarasota.

tropical storm Debby came thru while we were there so we were unable to use the pool due to the flooding and all the debris and couldn't visit any nice restaurants due to roads flooded or the beaches, so all we could really do was watch TV and read--not what we were hoping for but at least we had power

great place

It was a great location in Sarasota and the house was very comfortable. The salt water pool was fantastic and my grandkids enjoyed it tremendously. We tried using the microwave 3 days into the stay and found that it didn't work and notified the contact person by e-mail. I tried calling him to no avail. I would have rather spoke to the contact person, but was only able to contact by e-mail. He only thanked me for the information with no different microwave being brought. The TV was hard to navigate and when trying to play TV it showed no internet on our first night. Even with these couple of things I would highly recommend this house for your family.

Beautiful property but we had some issues

Before I get into reviewing the house, I want to mention that we found a Drop Cam. VRBO policy specifically says that any cameras inside properties are prohibited. Mike disagreed with this statement and said it was not recording and that it was for security when no one was using the house. I searched the listing for mention of a camera but there was nothing. VRBO also verified that I was correct. Because of this, we left the house within 24 hours. Besides this issue, the overall house and furnishings were beautiful. The property is well kept and the pool is stunning. There is a shed filled with floats. The layout of the house is a bit strange and it is definitely smaller than it appears in the photos. There is one adjoining bedroom attached to the master so you have to walk through the master to access it, which can affect privacy. The temperature was much hotter in that bedroom, and even with the two fans that were provided, there was a major temperature difference. We requested permission to adjust the temperature because the Nest was locked at 70 and Mike was responsive in allowing it. The master bedroom door lock is reversed, so my child managed to lock me in the bedroom. Fortunately, there’s a door leading out to the patio so I wasn’t trapped. The listing states that the kitchen was recently renovated, and the appliances are definitely new, but there is no garbage disposal in the kitchen. It's also good to note that all the interior doors are shuttered so you can hear everything. This is more of a factor because we have little kids and a baby who naps. Also, two cigarette butts were left on the bench under the car port.

The location is wonderful. You can walk to the mall in 15 minutes, or drive there in a couple of minutes. It's about a 10 minutes drive to famous Siesta key beach, which is known for its fabulous sand, which honestly feels like powdered sugar! Very close to Lido beach as well, and you can also drive to Longboat key from here and also the absolutely gorgeous Anna Maria Island where watching the sunset at The Sandbar restaurant is nothing short of spectacular.
