Wonderful house in a perfect location!

This was our second time staying in this house with our 20-something kids. We love the private deck and the ice cream/pizza place nearby. The kitchen is FULLY stocked with everything you need to cook and two beaches are a short walk away. Most importantly, the house is very clean and updated.

As a ladies group that likes to cook we truly appreciated the kitchen - which was well stocked. Location is amazing for walking two great beaches. We had one of our best gatherings here thank you

House met or exceeded our expectations. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this was the best equipped we’ve been in. The location was central to everything we wanted to do, and was very quiet. We were here in early October, but still enjoyed the short walk to a gorgeous beach. We would definitely stay here again!

We rented this house to stay at for a nearby wedding, and it was perfect. We were able to walk to the beach and get to many little local coastal towns with just a short drive. The house itself had everything we needed and was extremely clean. Would definitely recommend!

The house was walking distance to 2 beaches and close to the center of both Gloucester and Rockport. The house was well appointed, open floor plan with a great deck.

Great stay

We had an awesome stay at this property. Amazing location close to beach and Surfside Subs. It was super nice having all the beach chairs and beach wagon. Would have been great if they had ac in the bedrooms but no complaints, we'd definitely book again.

Lovely Beach Week

We had a lovely week at Rockport house. It was a quick 2 min walk to Long Beach and a 5 min walk to good Harbor Beach. Also there is an ice cream and takeout pizza /sandwich shop on the same block which was perfect for quick and easy dinners. The house was clean and had a lovely deck for dinners /relaxing. We will be back for sure!

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful beach house in Gloucester. The house itself was spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to relax and spread out, with a central kitchen and living room area that led to a fantastic deck. The location is truly unbeatable. We were just a short, easy walk to Long Beach, so convenient to be able to come and go as we pleased without worrying about parking or having to go back to use the bathroom. The evening walks to get ice cream was also a perk. Easy drive to downtown Gloucester and Rockport for dinners out or shopping.We highly recommend this beach house to any family looking for a relaxing, spacious, and perfectly located beach getaway in Gloucester.

We traveled up to Gloucester to attend a family wedding and this house was a perfect spot to gather with our family. The home has a beautiful, tranquil decoration style, with an open layout that encourages gathering on the main floor, as well as a nice den downstairs. It also has a large deck out back with plenty of room to enjoy a meal or sit and relax. The house also has one of the best equipped kitchens I've seen in a rental home and the owners have thoughtfully stocked it with lots of little extras like spices, etc. The house is also situated by two nearby beaches (Long Beach and Good Harbor Beach) and it was fun to be able to stroll on the beach. We were fortunate to have great weather and very much enjoyed the property inside and out. We'd definitely rent it again and hope to be back another time!

We booked a long weekend at this house to have a weekend away with our adult children and had a great time. I'm very picky about VRBO homes and this one checked all the boxes. The house was super clean! It had plenty of amenities in the kitchen for cooking. I loved that there were lots of towels for the beach and showering after the beach. Everything you need for the beach is in their shed. There's a mini split on the main floor that keeps the kitchen/living room cool, however the bedrooms on that floor were warm.Overall - we can't wait to come back!

Perfect Girls Weekend Getaway

The rental was perfect for a quiet girl's weekend. The house is split level so downstairs was actually more a suite if only using one room. It rained all afternoon one day, so we chilled at the house, made snacks and dinner, watched tv, worked on a puzzle. The house is setup nicely for this. Fully stocked kitchen. Lovely quiet area to walk around, check out the beach, and very quick drive to Rockport and Gloucester for site seeing and shopping. Another plus is there's an ice cream shop just a few properties away. Great for an after dinner treat. Would stay here again.

Perfect Home Base for a Working Team Retreat

We enjoyed a six night stay at this location and had enough space to sleep seven adults with plenty of room for meetings and discussion. Amenities are very well thought out and thorough, with impressively sharp kitchen knives and a full complement of pots and pans. Fireplace was "temporarily out of service" for our stay and the stairs down to the lower level are missing a handrail which was difficult for the less spry member of our party. Location can't be beat--we walked to the beach every day and supermarkets and restaurants are easily reached by car. One of the top vacation rental stays we've experienced.

Well maintained

My family and I have been staying in Long Beach / Good Harbor for 30 years. This house is as advertised. Clean, neat, near Long Beach and the Ice cream store. The parking for multiple cars was a benefit for all family and guests. The back deck was great for family cook out and gathering. Back yard for the kids. The house itself has a great kitchen. The open space to be able to conjure together was great for our family. The four bedrooms slept all of us. The two full baths supported the needs. The kids downstairs and adults upstairs. Awesome! Then when we had an issue, the owners promptly responded and had issue resolved timely. The area is safe / walkable and friendly.

excellent location. nice property. freezer was dead from the time we arrived and owner sent a guy over who paid lip service about delivering a portable freezer but never actually did. owner said she would refund me for spoiled food but hasn’t done so as far as i know. owner claimed she hadn’t heard about the issue from the handyman- whole thing was disappointing and made a small inconvenience into an annoying, expensive hassle. it would have been easier to do the right thing and replace the fridge.i have been a professional propertymanager for forty years and this waspoor communication and non-existent follow-through.

We loved our stay here. Very clean and nicely decorated. Had everything we needed. Easy checkin with a door code. Perfect for a family gathering and larger than I expected from the pictures, with lots of room for our group of 8 people. Lovely 2nd story deck with spacious dining and lounging area and nice backyard. Very close to beautiful beaches and a short drive to Bearskin neck. Highly recommend.

The house location is perfect. It is within a 3 minute walk of long beach and 1 minute walk from Surfside subs and Dairy Made ice cream shop (both 5 star places). The house is set back off the road to ensure privacy from the local beach crowds. Pluses - Plenty of off-street parking, rare in Gloucester; Huge 2nd floor deck, clean furniture that comfortably sits 12 people, faces the rear woods, very relaxing; clean new furnishings inside; good size well appointed bedrooms with nice mattresses; the bathrooms were clean/modern and the showers had good water pressure (big plus because in most rentals the bathrooms need some work); all the bed and bath linens were new and clean; two good size family rooms/tv areas; the kitchen is equipped with everything you could want, even 20 different spices; outside shower for rinsing off after the beach; AC in the upstairs kitchen, dining, family rooms.Minuses - The bedrooms do not have AC, they all have ceiling fans. This is not an issue for the downstair bedrooms because they stay cool even on an 80 degree day; but the upstairs bedrooms have west exposure so with the setting sun it can get a little warm. An inside ductless AC wall unit would be nice. I have to add that the owners were always available via texting, And they were quick to respond to all questions we had.I would go back to this house on my future trips to the North Shore.

Gloucester and the surrounding area are notoriously quaint, older homes with various stages of retrofitting having been accomplished. That creates the charm of the area and also should frame the expectations of what a "normal" rental home in the area. While certain fixtures need attention in the bathrooms and certain appliances in the kitchen could be updated, the home itself is in better condition than others we have rented and we felt that the pictures and descriptions were accurate. Beds are some of the firmest we have encountered which could be great or a challenge depending on your preference. There are "friendly" bees that enjoy the back deck as much as we did, but the furniture and space was perfect for the functions we were seeking to host. All in all, we recommend this home and believe it will deliver for a larger family looking to base out of for their New England Adventures.
