Oceanfront views with an amazing rooftop allowing us to see downtown and the Intracoastal Waterway as well as the ocean!Rooftop sunrise yoga was one highlight. Our visit was great!

If you love the beach and ocean, this is the perfect place to rest, relax, and enjoy the view, or to swim using the boardwalk nearby. A beautiful home away from home, Purple Shark is spacious, spotless, and showy with expensive artwork throughout the rooms. I can’t do steps so the elevator was a blessing, while the master bedroom offered a disabled bathroom. I’m not a fan of high beds, but they seem to be here and everywhere.

Beautiful beach house with amazing views and a great location. We loved being within biking / walking distance to the restaurants, shops, and local places in Vilano. The beach itself was gorgeous and just steps away. The home was clean, windows to take in the view were big and beautiful, it was comfortable and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Would definitely stay here again

This house is so beautiful! We enjoyed our stay so much. Right on the beach with sights of St. Augustine and the lighthouse from the rooftop deck, there’s not a bad view from any window. The location was so close to Publix, a beautiful nature trail, and downtown St. Augustine. We truly felt like the home came ready for us to enjoy our vacation right when we checked in. This is not the most toddler friendly home with lots of beautiful glass decor and furniture, but we were able to baby proof and monitor enough. The garage was fully stocked with beach equipment and toys and even a baby gate (which was so helpful!)Cannot recommend this home enough!

We had a wonderful stay. The property was clean and had everything we needed and more!! Beach access was great and the sunrise views from the house balcony were incredible. Ten out of ten!

This is our second time renting The Purple Shark. Such a lovely place and the location is excellent. Communication with the host is easy and definitely an easy check in.

Stayed at the Purple Shark for 2 weeks. Wonderful house, pictures don't do it justice. Very whimsical and creative art and light fixtures. Beds very comfortable. Rooftop cornhole at sunset was a fun time. Magnificent views with spectacular sunrises. Good communication with host. Would certainly stay here again.

Gorgeous views with convenient access to the beach! Deck furniture was plentiful and comfortable. All appliiances, AC, fans, showers, and garage opener worked great. We had a malfunction with the fire/smoke alarm one night. Our only complaint is the high cost, 475, cleaning fee which was partially for the owners benefit due to multiple complex glass light fixtures which would be difficult and time consuming to clean. The host, Luann, was helpful and prompt in responding to any texts or calls.

The cleaning is based on the amount of square footage and number of beds and baths, not on any of the glass. I also pay more for cleanings because I want the best crew in there to take care of it.

Great place to stay

We are in Jacksonville and we go to Vilano Three or four times a year this was one of the nicest stays we’ve had we used the elevator to move our belongings the different levels in the home made it very convenient. Everything was new and beautiful we booked another stay in July.

Even better than description and pictures

Place was amazing. Has a great time. Even though nice, the VRBO pictures and descriptions don’t do it justice. Place is super cool and so relaxed right on beach. Perfect getaway for our family with teens.

This is a tremendous property that I’ll definitely rent again in the future. Spotless clean, bright open spaces, beautiful ocean view through large windows, large kitchen with very nice appliances. The bedrooms (4) are lovely and comfortable and the master suite has an ocean view, walk-in shower and a balcony outside facing the ocean. The roof top is large and open for seating in the sun with a great 360 degree view. The elevator is a wonderful feature to this property making all floors accessible. There is a lot of thought that went into decorating this property and there are “surprise and delights “ throughout. The property manager, Luann, is very friendly, helpful and responds to calls/notes quickly. The location is outstanding, putting you close to grocery shopping, numerous restaurants, and the old city. This is a 10 out of 10 property and I highly recommend it.

Great Location

Very modern, attractive multi level home right on the ocean; rooftop allowed for wonderful sunrise and sunset views. Updated kitchen with great appliances. Less than 3 miles from downtown St. Augustine. Two great restaurants to try; Fishcamp and Caps.

We absolutely loved the Purple Shark! The views are breathtaking, it was clean and well maintained. The host was very easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. There were beach chairs and umbrellas which was great. My only suggestion is supplying more than two beach towels. Great location and we will definitely rent again.

Perfect. We have tried many rentals and this one trumps them all, not even close. There's actually 4 bedrooms and two separate pull out couches. Could sleep 10-12 easily.

So glad that you enjoyed your stay. We are in a quiet area, and it is beautifully furnished. For that reason, we restrict occupancy to 6 guests. Since we have a neighbor who keeps an eye on things, it is important that we not exceed that limit
