We loved our stay here! Quiet surroundings but no complaints if we were a little loud (lots of kids with us). If having babies/young kids then we would bring a baby gate next time for top of stairs but otherwise great!

Great all around stay

We had a great time, the location was perfect. Huge flat yard perfect for cornhole. It was walkable to the pier and enough space for everyone.

Excellent Accommodations!!!

Very clean, and had everything needed in a home. Spacious for 12 people with a great back yard with fire pit

Great location and home

This is our second stay at the property. It’s spacious with a comfortable layout for my large family. The location is perfect with a grocery store at the end of the street, walkable to the pier and attractions. Great yard space with a fire pit. Owner is very responsive with speedy communication. Definitely recommend staying here! Thank you for another great stay

Our vacation

The home was perfect for our family. There was plenty of parking and the beach was a short walk. The home was clean and comfortable. Our host was accommodating to us and was there to greet us. Highly recommend for a family getaway. We had a wonderful time!

We stayed at this wonderful home two years in a row. The location is exceptional. I would stay here again. There was plenty of room and property for all of us. The yard had plenty of room for us to play cornhole and frisbee. It's a short walk to the beach and the store is literally just down the street. The property is well maintained and clean. Perfect for a large family or group.

We were a family of 9 with kids, parents, 2 sets of grandparents and 2 dogs. The good: Location/walkability, allowed our medium sized dogs, lack of additional fees, 2 bathrooms, fire pit area, host responded quickly all but once. The bad: cleanliness of the place and some cooking pans were put away dirty. Needed to empty dehumidifier in basement daily in order for no mustiness. AC upstairs didn't work adequately in the middle of a heat wave. (They did respond quickly with fans though a fan for the living room/kitchen just wasn’t sufficient.) Upstairs bedrooms had to rely on fans to cool otherwise it was very hot and no air circulation. Over the course of the week the temp fluctuated from mid 70’s to mid 90’s. There was no spare toilet paper (a listed amenity) so we had to buy some.

Hi Kathy, Thank you for your review and flexibility to give you the additional items during extreme heat situation. I have addressed the pot cleaning with my cleaning staff and hope that this never repeats itself. As for the supply of the toilet paper we supply wants customary for short term rentals ie a starter pack, but will consider to put additional supplies in the future for large parties such as yours. Thanks again for staying with us!

OOB Family Vacation

This place is at a premium location. Short walk to the pier, short walk to the beach, close proximity to everything. While the home is in close location to the hot spots, it does not have heavy traffic and noise os quite low. The porch and fire pit were major gathering spots and the kitchens were well stocked. Each room was spacious and we loved the decor. We even found our favorite coffee at the store across the road (Katahdin - Maine Blueberry pie). We loved every detail and were amazed!!! Our host was very responsive and we appreciate the hospitality!

Old Orchard Beach Stay 2023

Great property for large groups. Dead end street. Not a lot of traffic. Quiet neighbors. Close to grocery, breakfast place with take away coffee as part of breakfast, emergency ice cream needs. Easy ample parking. Beach chairs, beach cart, beach umbrellas, 15 min walk. Washer dryer. Sleeping porch off kitchen if you like that. Big table that seats 8 plus additional on porch. We had great time.

I think the property could use a deep clean as we have toddlers and notice how under the sitting areas can get pretty dusty when things get dropped! Also the “bath tub” didn’t have a bath spout or a drain that plugs to provide a bath for the kids after a sandy beach. We had to use the detachable shower head. I would just advertise it as two showers instead of saying there is a tub upstairs! Other than that the place was great for my family of ten adults and 2 under 4.

Good house for price

Overall the property was good. Five bedrooms, all with queen size beds except for one that had a double and one twin. Good location - quiet street and five steps from a grocery store. However definitely more like 15ish minutes from the beach/pier walking. Fine for us, but just a note! Also a note - there is AC but only one unit in the upstairs family room and one in one of the bedrooms in the lower level, so if you get a hot week then it could be bad! One last thing was that there seemed to be sand literally everywhere. I know it's a beach house, but the floors and newly made beds had sand all over. There were also spiders in almost all of the corners of the house. Just needed a more thorough cleaning, in my opinion!

We have been here 3 separate times and enjoyed our stays immensely. It was very clean and an easy walk to the beach. With the grocery store only a short walk away, it was very convenient. Our hostess was easy to reach and always replied to messages within minutes of receiving them from me.

Nous avons apprécié la cour et la petite véranda de la propriété. La communication avec l’hôte était facile. Toutefois, la distance pour l’accès à la plage était plus longue que ce qui était indiqué sur le site.
