The host was super easy to work with and the stay enhanced our Acadia trip. The check-in procedure was without problems and the neighborhood felt safe. There was mild road noise from the main highway but that was not a major issue. Good Vrbo experience!

Very spacious and more than adequate for 4 adults and our 2-night stay. Kitchen was well-stocked, bathrooms were very clean, the living room comfy. Beds and pillows were also very nice. Easy access into the home, even when we arrived after dark. We did not experience any trouble with the driveway or pulling out onto the main road with traffic as some have mentioned. We did experience some road noise in the bedroom closest to the street. We closed the windows and slept with some white noise; the couple in the back bedroom heard nothing all night. The house has a lot of character and we wondered the whole visit what life was like in the house and what stories it could tell from the early 1900s!

Great stay

This was a great stay with all that we needed. Stayed to visit Acadia and was a good distance.

Easy access to get into the home. Rooms were clean- only issue was there were not enough linens and really no place to hang your towels after showering.. this is difficult when you have 4 people in the house-Would suggest to have extra toilet paper left for guests. There were no replacement rolls in the downstairs bathroom and one in upstairs bathroom. we did by our own .The gas grills look to have been converted to charcoal grill? could use a table outside for guests to enjoy the small patio. Overall it was clean and that goes along way. If you are looking for something quite this one is a little noisy due to the road traffic.It is about a 25 minute drive to bar harbor and traffic was not bad..quaint and clean!

Convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia

It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The only non-issue was getting into the driveway, there was a bit of a drop off from the road. Also it is on a busy road so we slept in the back bedroom and didn’t have trouble with the road noise.

Close to Acadia

Nice little house close to Acadia National Park. It is on a high traffic road, but that was noted in the property description and was not a problem for us. House was well equipped, clean and comfortable for the four of us. Would definitely stay there again.

Quiant small home near Acadia NP

Old home spruced up, we loved the space. Workable kitchen space to cook for 3-4. Quiet at night. Close enough to Acadia, far enough from the crowds of Mount Desert Island. Lots of history in Ellsworth too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. The character and decor of the home, and the proximity to Acadia NP and Ellsworth stores and restaurants were excellent. The owners did a nice job renovating this house and our family was very comfortable there, we looked forward to coming back and resting after day trips to Acadia NP. Kitchen amenities and TV options were appreciated, too. The house is on a main road but we didn't mind it, it was quiet in the evenings and it was a straight shot to Mt. Desert Island. We'd stay there again!

Short Satisfactory Stay

Property was clean and recently updated in a good location - barely heard traffic - beds were pretty comfortable & had a minor issue with some ladybugs. We lost power the morning of our departure and did not hear back from owner for a number of hours after contacting; was relieved we were leaving as the house quickly got cold.

House on the Ellsworth Main road to Bar Harbor

We were up for the graduation at College of the Atlantic. The house was clean and tidy, and the beds quite comfortable. The house is on a side street right off the main route to Bar Harbor, and getting off/onto the main road can be tricky at rush hour. However, drivers were generally very considerate and would pause to let us enter and exit from the side road. I was initially concerned about the noise of traffic, but rush hour had subsided by bedtime. We spent most of our time in Bar Harbor, and the house gave us a nice home base from which to travel and to return to at night. Our host was very responsive and welcoming.
