We spent a wonderful week in St John’s and loved staying at Paul and Tracey’s beautiful home. We were thrilled with its spaciousness, exquisite decor, and perfect location with a stunning harbour view. Their home was immaculate and generously stocked in every way. As Hosts, Paul and Tracey were extraordinarily welcoming and responded to all communications quickly and always in a friendly, helpful manner. They are clearly committed to ensuring the comfort of their guests! We highly recommend the Salt & Battery and the terrific location!!

This place was lovely. Communication was excellent, the home was clean, nicely decorated, and homey. They had everything including coffee, tea, snacks ... We loved being on the harbour it was so entertaining. If we ever come we will be sure to stay here. Thank you for sharing your home.

Amazing location on the harbour. We loved sitting in the living room watching all the ship activity.Very comfortable beds, great shower, lovely lay out. So easy to walk downtown or hit the signal hill trail.

This is probably the nicest holiday rental we have ever visited and we have rented many units all over the world. The unit is exquisitely decorated, clean, and has all of the amenities one could want. The 3 beds are very comfortable and the linens are fresh and soft. It was warm during our visit and having the windows open and using the ceiling fans did the trick. The two baths are clean and the showers have good pressure and lots of hot water.The kitchen is fully equipped should you wish to cook. We didn’t because there are too many fabulous restaurants in and around St. John’s.The view of the harbour, whether from the living room or balcony is perfect. If you have never had the opportunity to watch the comings and goings of a shipping port, this is the place to be. The host information was accurate and timely. There are too many thoughtful touches in the unit to list. The unit is located within walking distance of the harbour, Signal Hill, many restaurants, shops and bars, yet is in a quiet location. We made numerous day trips from here to other locations around St. John’s and it was perfect.We highly recommend staying here.

Great place, 2nd timer

We've stayed at another of their locations in St.Johns before and after a great stay then, we decided to find them again when we were returning. Still just as perfect as the 1st time!

Great house and great location

Wonderful house and location. The hosts made sure the house was stocked with anything/everything we would need. And the house was in a great spot - we were able to walk everywhere.

Back to Newfoundland

The location is perfect for view and proximity to walking around St.John’s Newfoundland. It is beautifully decorated, very clean, and Tracey and Paul are wonderful hosts, and create a wonderful “home away from home”.

Lovely and accessible

This is an amazing property, you can park your car and walk all of St. John’s as well as hike all the way up to the lighthouse. It is, like the pictures show, right in the harbor, which is wonderful. The boats are running all night, which means the lights are on too.

Wonderful Amenities

The owners of this property have thought of everything! From the Keurig coffee pods to the extra toothpaste, not one thing has been overlooked. The place was beautiful, very clean and had gorgeous views of the harbor. Proximity to downtown St. John’s is great. Thank you for a wonderful spot to stay on our adventure in Newfoundland.

Spectacular

A beautiful property located directly on the harbour. We enjoyed watching the ships......and the easy access to downtown. The house is beautifully decorated and the hosts have thought of everything. As usual Newfoundland never disappoints.

Amazing House and Location

We loved this house! No detail was overlooked. Plenty of supplies like water, coffee, tp, soap and shampoo. Very nicely decorated, clean and perfect location for walking to downtown. We have stayed at other properties on the battery and this house was our favorite. Nice blackout shades for the bright harbor lights at night. We would love to come back and stay here again!

Perfect spot for 3-6 people (you could probably add a baby/toddler too as there is a pack n play and a high chair seat). I travelled alone with two teenagers and it was perfect for us as each kid got their own room/space. Fast wifi. Lots of room to unpack if you are staying a while. Two full baths - both modern, clean and stocked with essentials.Super clean, well maintained and great location. We literally didn't need to bring a thing. I had groceries delivered for breakfasts and we made day trips from the home.We took advantage of the laundry so we could pack light. Felt safe in the area. The living space was comfy - my teen son took one too many naps on the couch!We loved that you can walk right up to and complete the North Head Trail which gave us some amazing views. This includes stopping at Signal Hill and The Visitors Centre if you veer off path a little. It was 8 to Uber back from Signal Hill if you only want to do half of it (one of us was recovering from being sick and tapped out). Downtown is not far you could definitely walk but we had a rental car and getting around was easy.Short drives to whale watching boat cruises (could probably Uber if you don't have a car). We needed to check something with the hosts and they picked up/responded promptly and were very friendly/helpful. Battery Cafe on the corner has yummy pastries, bagels, coffee/tea/latte and sandwiches.

This is a beautiful home! The house is meticulously decorated. You have everything you need at your fingertips. The kitchen is fully equipped and has coffee, spices, snacks, paper towels, etc. The view is spectacular, looking over St. John's harbour! The location is great! Food/coffee a short walk away and the Signal Hill trail start right there. We were lucky to meet the owners who are so friendly and kind. Excellent!

Well equipped and lovely home

Beautiful spot right at the water. View changes everyday as new boats arrive. The owners are generous with coffee, water etc and have everything available you might need. I’m a senior and was able to walk from George st to this home. Very well equipped. Pictures are correct— owner prompt with replies. Great spot.

Wonderful

Special accommodation, great location, felt at home from the first time I stepped in. Fortunately we had great weather and were able to use the deck overlooking the harbour. Everything about the week was perfect. Owners happened to be in the neighborhood that week and helped us with one issue, although they do have back-up if not there. Stocked with everything if you happen to forget something!
