Great location on the river, spacious house and had everything you need, but definitely needs a good cleaning. Cobwebs everywhere, the deck needs to be cleaned.

Oak Point 4th Celebration

The property and location was fabulous! Spacious, great for family to get together. Deck with view is amazing. Highly recommend this property.

Great property near Thousand Islands

Had great time staying at this property. Great house, clean and well-maintained. Host is welcoming and pleasant to deal with, excellent communications. Location is awesome, breathtaking views, secluded, with access to the river. Highly recommend!

Beautiful view of river sunsets and freighters. Quiet and secluded. My dad enjoyed the dock for fishing. Only negative was no A/C as it was upper 80s when we were there, but many places in the area don’t have. Overall a lovely place and wonderful visit to 1000 Islands.

Summer Vacation

The house itself is absolutely gorgeous. Peaceful area. We enjoyed hanging on the deck over looking the St Lawrence River. Enjoyed using the dock to kayak and fish. Close to most of the places we wanted to visit. Thank you again for letting us stay.

Perfect Family Getaway

We took our daughter up to enjoy the river just as my husband and I did when we were her age. This was the perfect house to do that! The house right was right on the river with a beautiful front porch to watch sunsets and big ships going by. It was incredibly cozy, like a home away from home! We were already talking about coming back next year!

Overall, this was a nice property. It was very peaceful and the views from the deck were stunning. It was very cool to be right on the shore of the River - you can hear the lapping of the waves on the shoreline while in the house and on the deck. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were all fresh and of good quality. There is no AC but there are fans located around the house that help to keep it more comfortable. I would have liked the house to be a bit cleaner - it wasn't dirty per se, but there were areas that really could have used a better vacuuming (the living room - the rug and the surrounding perimeter had a fair amount of crumbs; and the mud room) and the kitchen areas could have stood to have a better wipe down (particularly, the handles of the frig, and the dishwasher, as well as the garbage can, and the counter fan). While all functioning, the appliances have all seen better days. Also, much of the kitchenware/cookware have seen better days. We did not have a boat - but had considered renting one and bringing it back to the property. I'm glad that we decided against that as the path to the dock is long and the access to the actual dock is a bit treacherous. Also, docking is really only available on one side of the dock and there are no cleats. So, I would probably say that having a boat at the property would not be easy. But, we were very grateful to have spent a few days in the 1000 Islands and the property was a nice way to do so.

St Lawrence Getaway

The house is in a beautiful location that overlooks the St. Lawrenc River. The large deck in front allows for a great view of the waterway. The house features beautiful woodwork throughout the entire structure. The main floor has an open floor plan, so there is a feeling of spaciousness. The house is at the end of a lane, and there is a small length of grass that you must travel over until you get to the gravel parking area. We wish the house was a little cleaner when we arrived. The host, Deborah, did an excellent job of communicating with us throughout the whole process.

Enjoyed a great week on the river. The deck overhanging the river is fantastic. The path down to the dock is very convenient and actually quiet nice at night when the lights are on. Power was available down at the dock to charge the boat batteries. Only thing lacking was cleats on the dock which made tying up the boat a bit of a chore.

Our family had a wonderful time at this house. The location provided great views of the St Lawrence River and the dock allowed good access to the river for swimming and kayaking. In addition our host, Deborah, was very responsive on the few occasions when we had questions. All in all we had a wonderful experience and would definitely do it again.
