Fish all year (at Pleasant Lake or tons of nearby lakes, including Black Lake or the Saint Lawrence River). Swim off the private boat dock. Hike on property or local trails. Stargaze around the fire pit. Sit back or enjoy games on the lawn while enjoying the bounty of blooming flowers. Grill on the blackstone griddle. Enjoy a rainy day in the game room (PacMan, TV and Games). Spend the afternoon visiting Canada, 1000 Islands or Adirondacks (within an hour's drive). Have sweet dreams in a king bed, two twins, and pull outs. Dog friendly (limited two; $150 disclosed or $300 if undisclosed).

Gorgeous house and property. Has everything you could possibly need! Extremely clean and comfortable. Communication was superior and very responsive and accommodating. We would return but the stairs to dock (new and very nice) were numerous making it difficult (for us) to navigate several times a day to use dock for fishing, swimming or boating.

We booked this for our annual friends trip. The house was gorgeous, hot tub was a bonus, and a big spacious kitchen. We had a day of rain and the game room downstairs came in handy! We enjoyed PacMan and air hockey. Definitely would go back!

The property was so relaxing and quiet...such a great place to get away! Our dogs loved exploring the property and the views of the lake were amazing! Barbara (the host) was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent experience!!

It was just what we needed for a great family stay! Barb was awesome. The house and location was so peaceful and relaxing, the family room down stairs was where we spent time watching football and playing games with the grand kids. Just a lovely place.

The host was very responsive. The house was equipped with all everyday needs (food containers, spices, towels, extra pillows and blankets, etc.). You may need additional ice trays if you use a lot of ice. Other than that, you can just show up. The hot tub and grill were both clean and in working order. The view was fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay at this well-appointed cabin. It truly had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Even with the snow falling, we spent our evenings building cozy fires in the outdoor pit and enjoying the hot tub. When we weren't outside, the basement TV made for perfect movie nights. The highlights of our trip, however, were the breathtaking sunsets over the lake, which we watched daily from the spacious living room. The property offered incredible privacy and a serene quietness because there are no neighbors nearby. All we heard at night was the occasional owl. I recommend the pleasant lake cabin if you're looking for a relaxing vacation with all the amenities.

The lakehouse was beautiful, spacious, and offered stunning views of Pleasant Lake. One of our dog's favorite spots was the outdoor deck, where she could watch the lake for hours.The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed, including plenty of cookware, an air fryer, herbs, cooking oils, coffee for the Keurig, and ample paper products.We had a wonderful time swimming in the lake—the water temperature was just right. Our dog especially loved leaping off the dock to retrieve her tennis ball, which provided endless entertainment.The owner was a pleasure to work with and was always friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay.Our only disappointment is that the lakehouse is about eight hours from our hometown, making it difficult to visit as often as we'd like. We would happily stay here again.

Beautiful property and lake to rest and unwind at. From the open interior design to the vibrant landscape, it was a delight to experience. The house is equipped with everything you need.The steep sets of stairs to the dock made it difficult for our dogs to go up/down to swim, but we made it work, and appreciated that the hosts accommodated our pets. Barbara communicated throughout the entire process, and was on top of everything. Overall, a vacation well spent!

Welcome to our pleasant paradise. My husband (Michael ) and I (Barbara) have been in the area for over 40 years. We live at Pleasant Lake, down the road from the Cabin. We are happily retired with chickens. You will most likely find me on the pickleball court, hiking, gardening or playing with our chickens. You will find Michael flying his plane, building/working on planes or tinkering in the wood shop. We both love a peaceful sunset after an active day.

Centrally located in Upstate New York between Gouverneur and Black Lake, the Cabin provides guests a relaxing retreat with the option for many adventures. Guests are treated to panoramic lake views out of the cathedral windows. A private dock is available from Mid-May to Mid-September. Pleasant Lake is a hidden gem. It is spring feed so very clean. Two kayaks are available for your enjoyment. The fishing is amazing and fish are restocked each year. During the summer, fish off the dock. During the winter, the public access dock is just around the corner. The ice fishing is so good that each year in February a derby occurs. The property is more than eight acres and exclusively yours (I may wonder the back part but a guest has yet to see me). The large lawn allows for fun play or sitting around the fire pit. If you need to work, the loft provides a nice office space with a desk looking out the cathedral windows. The kitchen is fully stocked inclusive of a blackstone griddle (the "grill"). The game room includes a large TV, PacMan video game, pool table that converts into pingpong and tons of games. No matter the season or weather there is something luxurious to do at the Pleasant Lake Cabin. Join us where pleasure, peace and paradise meet!
