Welcome to Serenity Log Inn. This authentic 1930s log cabin offers two bedrooms, full bath, fully furnished kitchen and screened porch to enjoy your coffee in the morning. Located one mile from the historical town of Kimmswick and 25 miles from St. Louis. 5 min to hwy 55

There is a $30.00 fee per use of fireplace. Fee covers Firestarter, dry wood for burning, maintenance, and set up, plus$18.00 fee first use to cover clean up. Due to infestation of insects, no outside wood allowed. 24 hr notice required.

We have wireless internet with a strong router signal. HDTV Clearsteam 4 Max Antenna ensure local channels to 70-mile radius. Netflix and hulu available. You can stream your own video through Roku.

Guest access
Serenity Log Inn is a single level with one step to access the rear entry into the kitchen.

Other things to note.
Air mattress can be inflated using a small hair dryer located in the bathroom vanity.

Very wonderful place. It was decorated for Christmas, and had a couple of groceries already in the fridge for us. The host was super nice and accommodating. It's a great place to feel cozy while im St Louis.

Beautiful house. The renters were very sweet and Godly. We loved that. The only issue we had is that they stay in the basement of the rental and that is uncomfortable to be honest. It should be noted on the VRBO that the owners stay on site in the basement to enable the buyer to decide if that is ok for them. We made it work, but did not expect the owners to live in the basement. If you want a beautiful place to stay with activities in the vicinity, it is beautiful, but if you are people that enjoy seclusion and privacy, it is probably not the place for you.

Bridgette, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. I have been hosting for 8 years and have lived on site in the mother-in-law quarters located on the lower level of the cabin since the beginning. I strive to make my guests Vrbo experience pleasant and enjoyable. I appreciate when guests do the same for me. It's important to understand what your host is offering, and the guest is responsible to determine if the available space is a fit for you and your family, judging by what your host has publicly posted within the listing. In this case, what you describe is explained within the listing. READ BELOW! Guest Interaction: I give my guests space but am available when needed. The cabin is equipped for your comfort and privacy. My living quarters are on the lower level in the mother-in-law quarters. Guests have their own private entrance. I work for the local school district and have an active social life so I'm not always on the premises but will be available to assist you with whatever you request via text messaging or email Bridgette, to enhance your short-term rental experiences in the future, and to be fair to your host, please check what your host has to offer within the listing's contents prior to booking.

Simply Amazing from the booking to the check in and check out. The experience was Priceless the cabin was stocked with breakfast and snacks plus super clean ! The host was Excellent.So much to do from the Zoo, Apple picking ,Grants Farm and the Beautiful town of Kimmswick.

Amazing Trip

We really enjoyed the two days we spent at the Serenity Log Inn! It was clean, cozy, and spacious for our family of two adults and three young children. We will recommend it to our friends and would definitely come again!

Wonderful Stay

Great stay at this log cabin. Our host communicated everything well, replied promptly & courteously. Cabin was great, everything was clean and professional. There was even some nice music playing when we arrived!

Easy access to St Louis

We loved the cabin, it is a quiet setting. Lots of space to spread out and relax in the house or come together for games at the kitchen table.

Painting Getaway

Overall it was a great stay. Our hostess Dennie was fantastic. The only reason not to have all 5 stars is that we found the living room seating, although aesthetically pleasant, not very comfortable to sit in.
