Great week at the beach

The house was amazing. It had everything that we needed for the week and more. The walk to the beach wasn't bad and they had all the gear we needed for a beach day. We would definitely stay here again.

I had great communication with Jennifer, always very helpful and quick. The home was very inviting and felt like home. My whole family had a great time, all the bedrooms were perfect with their own baths. The beach was so close and felt almost like a private beach. The elevator was perfect for my father who can’t do stairs well. One of the hidden gems is the top sitting room that is so peaceful with great views. We would love to stay again next year. Our fur baby also had a great time in the sun and on the beach. This is on our must stay for sure

Beautiful new property with excellent amenities. Close proximity to beach. Well set-up for extended family. We had four generations together in one place for the week.

Well Appointed Home for a Large Family Stay

Our family came together for a group beach vacation and this was the perfect spot for us. The house is so well laid out and the kitchen was thoughtfully equipped with everything we could need to cook large family meals together. We had ages ranging from 2-98 years old, and the space was perfect. Lots of porches, social gathering space, the pool with covered lounge and bar area, and all the beach equipment we could need. We had a blast! The access to the beach was easy as well. I would highly recommend Make It Sweet for a group trip for all ages.

So Sweet

How Sweet It Is ! Love this house ! Kitchen very well equipped. Ice maker was such a plus, well used. The bar/pool area was a great after a day at the short walk to the beach. Made several daiquiris at the pool bar. Only one negative, needs more bath towels. I would for sure stay here again. Love The Cape !

Family Holiday

Make it Sweet was a wonderful place to have a large family gathering for the holiday week. The living spaces were fabulous; the pool living area and fire pit were so inviting and wonderful to have for our younger set; and the kitchen was beautifully equipped. If we had a wish list, it would be for a little better storage in the bedrooms other than the closet and more attention to linens on the bed. Thank you for having us! Cara

Most Wonderful

This house is absolutely amazing. I had 13 members of my family and this house had absolutely everything you could possibly want and need. I also had my dad who was handicapped and this home had everything we needed to help make his stay pleasant. Jennifer let us check in early at 12 and was so accommodating to all are needs She always responded in timely manner with all my questions. The house was so clean and decorated so lovely. The walk to the beach took less than 1 minute and the park was only 2 blocks away with great options for wheel chairs. I just can't express how wonderful this home was

Perfect multi-family vacation house!

We had such a lovely week long stay at "Make it Sweet"! The house was clean and beautiful. All the rooms were as pictured and described. Plenty of space for our group of four families of 4. We had kids ages 10-16 who enjoyed the bunk room, pool, and provided pool toys. We all said how the house was the most well-appointed rental we had ever stayed at. Loved that there was plenty of seating at the long dining table and in the living room, and that there were extra hang out areas on the porches, upstairs, and outside the 2nd floor bedrooms. The house has everything you will need for your stay. The ice machine, outdoor shower to hose off sand, plenty of pool towels, extra trashcans, and other amenities were so useful, as was the elevator for bringing up our luggage and supplies. The beds were comfortable, AC worked well, there were fans in every room to help with air flow, and every couple appreciated having their own bathroom with extra for the kids. The walk to the beach was easy and so close! Loved how the beach wasn't too crowded and had so many pretty shells. There were a few tree stumps near shore in the water, so make sure to check where they are in reference to your beach set up to avoid running into them. We also appreciated how friendly and communicative the owners are - they even let us know when the cleaners finished up so we could get in the house a little early. Highly recommend a stay at this beautiful home!

It is difficult to find words to describe how absolutely wonderful this property is! My family has been traveling to the Cape for our annual week of fun for the past 12 years, and by far, this is the best property we have had the pleasure of renting. There are so many beautiful features in this house, like the dining area which accommodated all 10 family members at one table comfortably, the pool area with TV, bar and cooler for drinks, the ice machine on the ground level, the short walk to the beach, the well-planned bunk room, and the covered parking. No need to pack beach equipment or beach towels, toys, etc, they have everything you could possibly want to make your beach experience the best.If you like to cook, you will find the best equipped kitchen ever! We had a small maintenance issue that was resolved by the host within hours of reporting it.Everything about this house is first-rate, from the furnishings to the small detail of the “well-hidden from view” trash cans; the owners thought of every little thing when designing and equipping this house. We were the unlucky lucky family who rented during the week tropical storm Bertha made her visit! Unlucky because we missed out on our highly anticipated deep-sea fishing trip and two days of beach time, but lucky because we were in the most comfortable house to ride out the storm. Did I mention the secluded tower room and how sweet it is?

This house had plenty of space and was very comfortable for our family of 10. Beach access was an easy, quick walk. Given the fact that the house has four floors, we really appreciated having an elevator and walk-in shower for my 80 yr-old dad. The hosts were very friendly, attentive, and have made sure to have the house stocked with many things that made our vacation easier and enjoyable (tons of beach towels, enough beach chairs for my entire fam, all the kitchenware needed, and a large ice machine- our favorite bonus!). This was our first time at Port St. Joe/Cape San Blas and it did not disappoint. I would definitely book this house again!
