1st time to Maui

Great unit! Enjoyed 10 days there over the Christmas and new years weeks. We love this location close to the beach but out of the fray and you can hear the ocean at night while you sleep. Place is well equipped and has two split units which is great so you have a cool bedroom too.

Week visit

We stayed in Maui for 6 nights. The beds in this condo were terrible and the sheets were so cheap. The floors were dirty. Beach unbrella was broken. It was just an ok sleep stay. Location was great!

We understand bed preferences vary, and though we have had positive comments about restful sleep and comfortable linens at this unit, it may not have been the style you prefer. We welcome you to ask about this in the future before you book to find the right choice for you. We would also have immediately addressed any housekeeping issue if we had been made aware of it, please let us know next time and we will correct any cleaning items for you. The umbrella is not listed as an amenity and was most likely left by a former guest. These umbrellas are prone to damage with multiple uses. Checking was easy. Place was clean and AC worked great. Bed was great. Would stay again!! Few things missing to make it even better. Didn’t have an inside table to eat at. Only a couple towels for kitchen and 2 beach towels. Kitchen lacked a few essentials. There were only 5 forks…. Would be easier to conserve on water if we didn’t have to wash towels and dishes so often.

We like this building. Been here last 5 years. Amenities are not as good as in the past, had to rent an umbrella this time and never in the past. Should be included with the rental as in the past

July 2023 Visit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay for almost a week in Maui. The location is super close to the beach, easy walking distance! Many good food places within walking distance. This rental had beach accessories available (free!), such as snorkels, beach chairs & umbrellas, boogie boards, towels, etc. Beautiful sunsets from the Lanai. Very cozy place and perfect for an anniversary get-away. The pool and grills available at the building were nice features, too. Very clean and compact, but not too small. You could hear a few people outside the bedroom because it's close to the elevator, but not many and it wasn't an issue.

Unit 406 needs to be improved

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 406 is very outdated - kitchen cabinet laminate is peeling, the bathroom need a complete renovation, the unit needs a dining table and the bedroom bed frame is king sized and the mattress is queen sized.Location of KBR is very strong. We have stayed at KBR previously and thought the unit was well kept and updated. We needed maintenance to help out with ice trays and dishwasher repair which were bothe well handled. We do not recommend Unit 406 until modernization and up dates are made. We made the best of the situation. We would recommend KBR other units but not Unit 406.Kathy and Kirk

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. The unit has been updated from it's original build but the unit would benefit from larger updates on the kitchen and bathroom which are still very clean and orderly. This unit was recently purchased by a new owner who is in the process of meeting with contractors to make the unit even better. This owner has kept the pricing lower than the competition to keep the value of this location and view - high! In the meantime, the owner is addressing any of the smaller items they can in the meantime as well as keeping the unit neat, clean, and orderly. So get these rates while you still can!

Great location and view

Overall, it was excellent. Modern appliances, new 4K TV, with cable and Internet, nice ceiling fans in all rooms and comfortable chairs and couch. Beach chairs and snorkel stuff on the patio were nice. Free parking for one car! The shared space on the seventh floor was very nice with two clean barbeques to cook on. Fourth floor view of the ocean was amazing! Some things that were not so great:Queen mattress on king frame. Kept banging my shin on the bedframe as it stuck out. Maybe get a queen frame? Bed was not firm, actually more like a marshmallow and not a firm but squishy. So soft the sheets would not stay on as the corners were just soft and round.AC worked well, but blows directly on you if sitting on the couch. Placing a boogie board between was a temporary solution. Lacking a table to eat on in the house. The counter does not hang over at all so too difficult to sit and eat there.

nice...but some notes

Reviewer Comments: Location was good; but at sunset from the balcony, the big tree was right in the wrong spot! had to go down to the beach to see good sunset. The kitchen was cramped, refrigerator hard to access. clothes washer smelled musty(bought lysol laundry sanitizer to leave for next guest). Dryer tooooo noisy to use suspect it is about to **** out. left coffee filters, they don't supply coffee which would be a nice touch. The bathroom sink leaked all over counter from back of faucet, left notes for maintenance. oh, and the platform bed is a shin bruiser, but the bed was SUPER comfortable. counter needs bar stools to be able to eat at it. décor was nice. outside door key pad was hard to see at dark, motion light lit hallway, but not enough for keypad.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. Yes, there will be certain times of year the suns trajectory will fall behind some of the coconut trees and other times it will be perfectly aligned for sunsets. If the sun isn't aligned properly, the Kamaole Beach Royale also provides an amazing roof top BBQ Pavilion and table area that offers amazing panoramic views of the sunset/ocean above any of the tree lines. Walking a few minute's to the beach is also a wonderful option too, front row seats are hard to pass up on. We did repair the faucet leak. Mahalo for informing us about the issue.
