Peaceful getaway

Beautiful quaint property right on the lake. House has great views of the lake, perfect area to just step away from the world and enjoy nature. Tunk Lake was great, quiet, no boat traffic, warm water. 10/10 would stay again

A beautiful stay

We had an incredible time on this property. The lake is beautiful and the water very clean. The owner, Kyle, provided us with all the necessary information to make our stay enjoyable. We rented his boat and visited two beautiful beaches. They are next to each other, but the second one was amazing, and we were alone there. I really recommend this property; I don’t think you can find a better location.

Beautiful nature and lake

We took our family on vacation to Cozy Cove at Tunk Lake to experience a beautiful pristine lake. We were very, very pleased. The house is comfortable and the distance to the water is a few steps - very easy access. We will return!

Slice of heaven

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property! The location was so peaceful and the lake is beautiful. The house is clean and well equipped with everything you need. Kyle was a great host and we loved having the boat. I highly recommend.

Tunk Lake

This place is fabulous! The house is just as described, well stocked and very clean. Comfortable beds as well. The surrounding area is fantastic. Lake is pristine and the long sandy beaches on the adjacent shore are stunning. Hiking trails that rival anything on Acadia are right up the street without parking or fee issues. The Downeast Sunrise Trail is accessible through a trail about 1/4 mile up the street. This place is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in getting away from the crowds and enjoying a real Maine lakefront experience.

A Great Pristine Lake

The place was clean and everything works. My wife's favorite spot was on a chair at the end of the dock. Mine was on the deck in the shade. Bar Harbor was an easy hour's drive away, but we decided to just stay at Tunk Lake. Our host, Kyle was very helpful in recommending hiking trails nearby. I hadn't heard of Tunk Lake before, but it is GORGEOUS: clean and wild. We will be back next year.

Idyllic Maine experience

My friend and I had never been to Maine before, and wow this exceeded our expectations. We love nature, quiet, and hikes and this was the perfect place. Kyle was responsive right from the start and gave us great suggestions for nearby trails, as well for charming Bar Harbor. The house is perfectly clean and comfortable. On a sunny June evening we sat at the end of the dock with a glass of wine and local cheese, and savored the calm lake and beautiful trees. Highly recommended.

Cozy Stay at Cozy Cove

Had a lovely stay at Cozy Cove - two families - five adults and three kids (ages 3-6). It’s a great place for families! The house had everything we needed for a relaxing week - a well-appointed kitchen, laundry, a table big enough for 8, and a small living room / play area upstairs. The nearest grocery store is only 15 min away in Milbridge. The beach in front of the house is perfect for splashing around and you can watch sunfish swimming around from the dock. The water is clear and the lake is great for exploring by canoe or kayak. Local hiking trails around Tunk Lake are well maintained and beautiful and offer some nice day hike options. Took a day trip to Mound Desert Island on a rainy day and had a great time. Overall a great place to visit and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, easy lake vacation.

Lakefront living with a boat!

Just wow! Talk about a place right on the lake. This rental is so peaceful, so quiet, and you can immediately unplug and unwind. Our family was looking for a place to take a break from the daily grind and constant barrage of life, this place delivered. We've been to other lakes and experienced a party scene, crowded areas, and lots of wake. Not here. This is a serene, quiet, gentle place. The house was great and had everything you'd need and expect. Kyle was responsive with great recommendations. We rented the boat for our stay and it was a blast. We were able to explore all the nooks and crannies of the lake, definitely something to take advantage of!

Beautiful, peaceful lakefront cabin

We could not have found a better place to stay for a weeklong vacation with my sister's family in Acadia National Park. Kyle was extremely responsive, often responding within an hour to any queries and had lots of great advice both in the welcome packet and in more directed questions. The home was spotless, cozy, and accommodating, with a full-sized bathroom downstairs and a half-bath upstairs, an open living room/dining room/breakfast nook, an extremely well stocked kitchen with coffee maker, toaster, full sized fridge and freezer (and even nice touches like a salad spinner and tupperware!), and a full-sized washer and dryer. My favorite room in the whole house was the cozy office/living room upstairs. We were traveling with a 8- and 10-year-old who tended to wake up later around 9AM, so it was a place of refuge in the mornings to read, write, and do some deep work while listening to the wind in the trees and watching the loons on the water. The property is also extremely conveniently located right off Blackwoods Rd, meaning we were a 50 minute drive from downtown Bar Harbor and some of the most popular attractions in Acadia.

Cozy Cove

The location is absolutely beautiful and secluded. The home had plenty of space, a nice open layout and all new amenities. The kitchen had everything needed to make a proper multi-course meal for a good size group.The Lake itself is pristine. The only other place I've seen water this clear was in the Cayman Islands. Tunk lake has miles of magical undeveloped coastline preserve. The surrounding area has tons of amazing hikes and several other lakes, each with their own geological makeup and personality. If crowds are not your thing, go down the schoodic peninsula. It's across from Mount Desert Island. The tip of the penisula is actually a little known part of the Acadia National Park - just as beautiful, but without the people. While you're there, check out Winter Harbor. It's about 50 minutes away from the house. If you like to shop and go to bars and restaurants, Bar Harbor is bustling and less than an hour. The Tunk Lake region is an absolute hidden gem. The hosts were helpful and incredibly kind without being intrusive. They do not live in the next house over so you will have real privacy. Some people like easy access to their host, I prefer seclusion and hosts that trust we'll leave the property as we found it, or better. " We'll be returning to Cozy Cove if we can. A+++++
