The location of the house was wonderful if you are looking to vacation in a quiet quaint little town. You have beautiful views of the fishing boats in the harbor and are not far from the local Schoodic section of Acadia.

Great place to stay on the coast

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location of the cottage and it's amenities. Property owners and management company really cares about this place. Everything you need is there and the communication with the property manager prior to arrival, during and after was exceptional. Would stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately we did not realize until the end that we were located just a few miles of an entrance of Acadia forest....so don't miss that! We drive miles to go in near Bar Harbor. The view from front porch was beautiful. The beds were the best, we all slept great.Our hosts were exceptional

Aw Krista! Yes! This home is right next door to the Quiet Side of Acadia. A truly stunning piece of coastline. We do send a lot of information and the guidebook we leave at the house mentions it, but perhaps there is too much to read! So glad you enjoyed your stay and hope we see you again!

Exceptionally clean quaint cottage. We loved watching the boats and marine life from both the lower and upper deck. By the pictures and description I was under the impression that it was a little more secluded but it was still very quiet countryside. I would recommend this place to anyone. We really enjoyed all the amenities as well.

Perfectly located away from Bar Harbor crowds with convenient access to beautiful Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia. Quiet area. Great view of harbor. Nice yard for pet. Can take Winter Harbor ferry to Bar Harbor or 60 minute drive. Enjoyed the cool nights and being able to open windows at house. Two bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms were great. Highly recommend!

Property was very clean, host responded quickly to our questions. Cottage was lacking in some basic items if you plan to prepare meals. Would suggest the following items be added to the kitchen, pizza pan, cookie sheet And another non stick skillet. Also one burner on the range didn’t work and downstairs bathroom door needs some adjustment so you aren’t locked in as I was. Overall a good visit, but with some updates as listed above it would be great!!

Correspondence was great. Stay was great. Internet didn't work for most of our stay, so that was a let-down for my sons, but they made do. Visit Winter Harbor and Acadia if you stay! Amenities were great. Best towels, ever! I enjoyed to down time in peace and quiet. Wonderful stay. I'd go again. I'd give them an A. :)

Excellent cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lobster cottage was everything we expected and more. Very clean, roomy, great atmosphere. Loved the porches...open porch on top, covered porch below and sun room porch on side. Great for relaxing in any all weather conditions. Also easy drive to many good places to eat/drink. Winter harbor 8min away.

Peaceful Hidden Gem

Our family really enjoyed our stay! It was a safe and quiet getaway, with wonderful amenities and a fun theme throughout the cottage. We also loved the close proximity to the Bar Harbor ferry.

Great base for Acadia and Beyond

View from the home is incredible. A scenic overlook is literally at the end of your driveway. House was perfect for 6 of us and a dog. The house is not fenced in but a 30 foot leash tied to the front porch worked perfectly. This side of Acadia is perfect...beautiful views (schoodic point my favorite), various level hiking trails all without the commercialization in Bar Harbor. You still are a scenic drive away from Bar Harbor (a little over and hour) and you can experience that side too or take a ferry (we didn't but price was reasonable) and return to a peaceful home. Winery, nature trails, artisan places, and many restaurants with great food! People are super friendly everywhere we went. Host communication was wonderful and responses come almost immediately. Only thing to consider is various items kitchen needs. We cooked a lot and had to be a bit creative with utensil needs, but if you absolutely need something, check before you go or bring it. Highly recommended home away from home!

New England Reality

The harbor and lighthouse right across from the cottage were beautiful. There are no words to describe the sunrises. Liz with Coastal Maine was great to work with and very responsive to any questions we had.
