We loved Casa Isabella and hope to return next year. The location was perfect and the home accommodated our group of 9 perfectly. We loved having the ocean right there and really enjoyed the best sunsets on planet earth

We really enjoyed our stay, the location is amazing. Walking out to the beach makes it so easy and we loved the beautiful sunsets. The hosts were super helpful and accommodating. Kitchen is great to cook in and laundry was great to have on hand. Will definitely be looking to book again in the future.

Beautiful home right in a secluded beach. The beach and the area were quiet and the home had everything you could need. Julieth was amazing at arranging activities and services for us and we had a blast. The house comes with private parking area that’s in a locked courtyard and we felt safe the whole time. It gets cleaned daily and the air conditioners in our bedrooms worked well to cool the rooms down for sleeping. All around, it was a great place!

We rented this property for a multigenerational family vacation, and it was the perfect choice for us. The house was lovely, spacious, well-equipped, and perfected located.

Amazing beach experience!

What an amazing place - we had a wonderful stay. Beautiful home and amazing view and access to the ocean! The home decor is modern, clean and lovely.

Gorgeous home on Playa Potrero!A short walk down the beach to restaurants, bars and a grocery store. The house has 5 bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, plus a self-contained 1 bedroom suite. Daily housekeeping and pool maintenance was provided by friendly local staff. Management company and owner are easy to reach and very responsive. Fully air conditioned bedrooms and main living space. We enjoyed a wonderful week at this property!

Annual CR Family trip!

The house was so lovely and the beach was amazing. Quiet, relaxing and peaceful. Accommodating to our family of 9 comfortably. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay in Perfect Location

We truly enjoyed our time in this lovely home. It’s is located beachfront and closes to amenities yet just far enough off the main part of town that it was really quiet. The home was clean and well stocked and the owner and management were great with communication etc. I highly recommend this property.

Family Christmas Getaway

We prefer this quieter area with plenty of walkable restaurantsSteps to private pool and beach which was perfectAt first concierge was a challenge but owners shifted and new group were rockstarsAll in group said they would definitely repeat

We had a very nice stay at this property and would stay there again in the future. The house was stunning and the location can't be beat. The daily sunsets are magnificent. The house is well appointed and had all of the necessities for our short stay. We also had daily housekeeping. The management team was exceptional and responded to questions and problems immediately. Unfortunately, we were without water for a whole day due to construction in the area. It was terribly inconvenient, but the management team allowed us to use the bathroom in the adjacent unit since that unit had an independent water pump. We appreciated their help even though the water outage wasn't their fault. One thing we weren't prepared for was not being able to flush toilet paper. I gather that this is not uncommon in Costa Rica, but this is our first time encountering this because we typically stay at hotels when we visit. Used toilet paper had to be placed in trash cans. A bit hard to get used to.

Perfect in every way

The house was beautiful and set up perfectly. We loved the location. It was right on the beach and with no resorts close by it was not crowded. There were lots of good restaurants near buy even tho it is quieter smaller community. We had the best concierge that comes with the property that made everything we wanted and needed so easy. Couldn’t have asked for more.

It’s Paradise

Our family of 7 (ages 78 to 17) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Isabella in Playa Potrero. The house was very spacious with a large open concept kitchen and gathering area. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and serving. The pool and very private beach was enjoyed by all. Restaurants we enjoyed were Coco Loco in Playa Flamingo, and Hemingway’s and Perlas were also very good. We spent a day at Diamante Eco adventure and enjoyed the Panache sunset sail - both were very worthwhile. We were here during the rainy season in late June & early July and had a few whopper storms but it didn’t dampen our fun!

Great Week in Playa Portrero

House was perfect for large family. Five bedroom suites with four having great ocean views. Open kitchen, dining and kitchen area that opens to pool area outside. Really nice house. Location is excellent. We ate at different restaurants every night and never had a bad meal. Beach was great to walk. Probably 2 miles long. Black sand and a little rocky in small sections. Ocean water was perfect temp so we swam in there a lot. The pool is small but good to have for refreshing option. All communication and coordination with Kenneth and Julieth were great. Erica stopped daily to keep things clean. We hiked, fished and did a sunset cruise. All fun options. We rented two golf carts for our group of 8 and that worked perfectly. Loved the vibe in this area. Great week!

Amazing family vacation spot

We thoroughly enjoyed Casa Isabella. The location on the beach is fantastic. All you need to do to go for a swim is to walk out of the back door and jump in the ocean. No driving is required. The house has all the beach towels and chairs you need. A short walk down the beach you’ll find Hemingway’s with great food and fantastic cocktails. We also enjoyed Nita coffee in the morning. Our 1-year-old enjoyed the sandy beach, and the sunsets are amazing! My husband loves to cook and found the kitchen to be well stocked. There’s a great place to buy fresh fish right next to Gracia La Vid. The home itself is spacious with plenty of room for everyone and was very modern and clean. We loved having the cleaning lady, Thalia, come in each day. She helped make our stay more relaxed and kept things well organized, which is something you need when you have a toddler.

Pura vida @ Casa Isabella

We just finished our week with our family.We were 8 adults and 2 grand babies and this house fit our family perfectly.We had house cleaning during our stay (except Sunday) and I realized having that many people in the house was a huge benefit.The house is in a great location and the beach is pretty private and really the only people we saw were the people who were staying around us.. We also took full advantage of the concierge service provided by the owners and that really made the trip a breeze! They picked us up at the airport, we had golf carts delivered to the house by the time we got there and we scheduled several outings. They made dinner reservations for us and got us back to the airport in time to leave. It truly was perfection.Pro tips: You do not want to rent a car and drive there ..Some of the road can be rough.. The golf carts were amazing and we went back and forth to the Flamingo Beach areaWe felt Coco loco was the best restaurant. Hemingway was good for lunch.. El Patio Panadería had great bread and pastries.There is an open market on Monday evenings in Flamingo- Moon Market-we were able to find locally made goods..We also hired Costal Catering for dinner one night at the house .. Everyone is still talking Great trip.

Owner is slow to fix problems

The toilet in the bathroom attached to the KITCHEN overflowed when we showered. Sewage water FLOWED into the house several times. It was disgusting & awful. The ENTIRE house smelled. It happened at least THREE TIMES before it was fixed. It impacted us for more than a day. We didn’t stay in the studio. It was uninhabitable upon arrival, the smell was awful. It later flooded with SEWAGE WATER also. That was the smell, it was covered up by bleach & cleaning solutions.Clearly a on going problem. Lower bathroom door doesn’t open/close well due to it being swollen. You can see water damage on the lower part of the door 6” up or so. It’s been like that so long the hinges are sagging from the water weight. The new property managers, Kenneth & Julieth, are awesome. The housekeeper, Erika, took one for the team & cleaned it all up. All decisions run through the owner. Had to send photos & videos for his approval to fix the problem. Owner refunded 2000 off our stay, not even one nights worth, it was more than a 40,000 booking. Safe was broken. The locksmith got the door to open while we were there but there’s a key stuck in it. The safe was never usable. The lock on the second bedroom door on the 3rd floor is broken. (Has been for a long time, it’s taped over & the tape is brown from age & peeling off slowly as it falls apart) Lights throughout the house flicker. Kitchen, 2 rooms on the 2nd floor. Main light in the master bedroom.

Beach, pool, and marvelous Casa Isabella!

Casa Isabella did not disappoint! We were hoping the location and space were just like the pictures…and it was. We were happy with the location, the walk out to the beach, our own pool. House had plenty of together space, and the bedrooms and views were amazing. Proximity to restaurants, the outdoor shower, and the convenience of being on the beach!

Paradise house

We stayed 2 weeks. Almost perfect. Great location. Brand new house, high quality furniture and equipment. Comfortable. Courtuous management. Cleaning daily very efficient. For lovers of sea shore. Quiet neibourghood. Easy to access. We will come back.
