Quail Hollow, private studio

This private studio has a kitchenette, sink, fridge, toaster oven, microwave, toaster, coffee and hot water maker. There is a queen bed, leather chair, dining table and chairs, a few books and some fun games. The bathroom has a clawfoot tub, walk in shower, and vanity sink The windows face farm/woodland views and there is a 1/2 mile woodland trail out the back door. This studio is clean with awesome artesian well water. You can park 10 feet from the door and pets are welcome. (There is a $15/day /pet fee.)
The space
Quail Hollow is a suite with a private entrance and parking. The property is shared with the host located in a separate home. It is peaceful and quite, a perfect city get away. There is a 1/2 mile trail that winds through a wetland seep and an old growth Cedar grove for your use and pet walking (bring boots during the wet season). There is a outside patio with a table, chairs and fire pit, kindling and wood are provided. The 10 acre property is adjacent to a "locally grown" farm stand that sells fresh veggies, eggs, and other farm novelties to take home.
Welches is 8 miles east on Hwy 26 where you'll find restaurants, live music and trail entrances to the Mt Hood National Forest. I have maps for you to take out on the trail and will be happy to recommend day hikes for you to explore.The Salmon Huckelberry Wilderness and Mt Hood Nat. Forest are just a short drive, with hiking, biking and skiing options. The Resort at the Mountain is nearby where you can golf surrounded by wilderness views. There is plenty of fine dining and live music in the nearby town of Welches, more info is provided in the welcome booklet in the studio.
Guest access
The entire studio is open for your use. Feel free to wander the property at your leisure, especially the trail just outside your room.
Other things to note
No smoking is permitted inside the facility, there is an outdoor area for that. No parties or events are permitted. Well behaved pets are welcome . Please bring a bed for your pets and keep them off the bed. Pets are not to be left alone in the unit at any time. I have a $15/night/pet fee and ask that you remove their "stuff" from the yard with the shovel provided, just toss it into the woods :)

A beautiful, clean, peaceful spot. We enjoyed relaxing here and exploring Mt Hood. Barbara was excellent at communicating making check in very smooth. Would recommend!

So peaceful and quiet. It is perfectly equipped, clean and neat, and how marvelous to look out the windows in the morning and see quail and bunnies.

Quail House Stay

The house was so cute, and so clean! It was a great distance from the mountain and very accessible. The trail was also very fun to explore!

Excellent stay

My partner and i had a wonderful stay here. We wish we had more time to enjoy the trail on the property, the luxurious bath and a fire outside. Thank you, Barb, for a wonderful stay!

Barbara is the best host, very friendly. The place is so beautiful. Amenities are detailed to the tiny things. You'd love the hot tub and the rainforest showers. The bed is comfy. You will not regret staying at this place. Thank You For Hosting me. I shall see you again.

Great visit!

We took a few days away from home and settled on the Sandy area for ease of visit plus something that was out of the city. The visit was extraordinary--clean and newish decor and a fabulous bathroom. Great place!

Very clean and even though the temperature was almost 100, it stayed very cool inside!!! Loved the trail around the property and sitting outside at night and looking at all the stars was amazing!! Thank you for your hospitality Barb.

Barbara was wonderful and so was her place! Very quaint, cute location close-ish to Mt. Hood (also very scenic). Clean, with lots of small tidbits like books about the local area and a claw foot tub with bubble bath and epsom salts. The kitchenette was enough to manage as well as the toaster oven and microwave. The views around the property were amazing, and the parking was easy. Wouldn't hesitate to come back!

Peace, Rest, and Relax-PR&R

It was a pleasantly designed and equipped set up inside, with nice amenities and decor. The bathroom was my favorite, with a walk in shower, claw tub, and farm style sinks, which were in the bathroom and kitchen as well.It was a perfectly quiet wooded neighborhood, with even a small creek trail hike around the property.

Lovely, pleasant stay

We loved this little studio away from the busyness of the city and tourist areas. It was calm and had everything we needed for a nice, simple stay. No tv, but we didn’t want one! It’s just nice to be present in the stillness that surrounds you there. There is wi-fi, so we did watch a movie one night on an iPad. But everything you need if you are looking for beautiful simplicity in a well thought out, intentional space surrounded by nature and glimpses of wildlife.

I booked this studio for my sister and brother-in-law so that they could attend my daughters wedding. They couldn’t have been happier with the stay. They told me it was cute, cozy, and peaceful—exactly what they needed for a quiet getaway. They loved how comfortable and thoughtfully put together the space was. They raved about the host, Barbara, who they said was absolutely brilliant and made everything simple and stress-free. I’m grateful to have found such a great spot for them and would gladly recommend it.

This is a great, well-thought out little studio with a spacious bathroom. It had most everything we needed, and there were some nice, unexpected touches, like the cornhole game and the excellent tea selection -- even Bengal Spice, my favorite! Barb had a fire expertely built for us in the chimena -- one match was all it needed and we had a nice evening in the glider enjoying the flame. There's a big grassy area to play with dogs (including the Barb's sweet dog Stevie), and the trail on the propety was lovely, too, with some large, old-growth cedars along a small creek and many other native flora to enjoy: trillium, deer and sword fern, false soloman's seal, salal, vine maple, vanilla leaf, trailing blackberry, oxalis, and inside-out flower (I think -- we were there in late Aug, so all the spring plants were long past blooming and my plant ID ability is only so-so) were some that I noted. Barb works hard to make sure guests are taken care of and happy -- if there are any issues, she will attend to them right away. She is a solid host and a very nice person!

The property was beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing overall and we enjoyed our stay. There were just a couple of things we wish had been communicated beforehand, but overall it was a lovely place to stay. The bathtub and all the little unique features throughout the property were thoughtful touches that made the stay even more enjoyable.

We had an amazing experience. We enjoyed bird watching and chilling on the property which is very quiet and spacious. Barb was very helpful! We left an item behind and she texted us about it, even offering to mail it back to us. We also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Stevie the dog Place was very comfortable, cozy, clean. We hope to revisit!
