Peak color Oct 8-23 🍁🍂 198’ pvt frontage on Elk Lake
Enjoy stunning views of 7 miles of water, and warm bonfires with friends and family.
Elk Rapids is only 1.5 miles southwest of the house, great restaurants, shops, a grocery store, and a marina for your visit. Highly recommended are Ethanology Distillery, BOS winery, Short's Pullbarn, and Townline Ciderworks for libations. Pearl's , Cellar 152, Town Club and Riverwalk are wonderful restaurants all very close to the house.
Only 25 minutes to the wineries of Old Mission Peninsula for wine tours, 25 minutes to Shanty Creek for skiing, 15 minutes to Grand Traverse Resort golf courses, A-Ga-ming golf course, and Lochenheath golf course. Elk Lake Estate is a wonderful home base for your activities.
Welcome to Elk Lake Estate - A perfect gathering place for family and friends, sleeping up to 22 people in 14 beds! Situated on over an acre, with 198’ of private Elk Lake frontage, your waterfront paradise awaits.
Bachelor and bachelorette groups are welcome. Family reunions, special vacations, retreats, conferences, Elk Lake Estate is a nice fit with two kitchens and a snack bar (3 full sized refrigerators). Small weddings are considered, please message with details.
5000sqft, 6 bedrooms, 4 with ensuite baths, 1 shared bath, 1 shower room. 14 beds total, 3 king, 3 queen, 4 full, 4 twin.
Indoor and outdoor seating for lounging or dining with 22 people.
Sand Volleyball court, outdoor games, firepit (firewood on site), propane grill, game room with pool table, basketball, and more games. Outdoor Barrel Sauna!!!
Elk Lake is a clear, glacier lake. We have a sandy lake bottom with stone break wall.
Mid-May through Mid-September we have a 100' dock with a 10x20 dock patio over the water. Also provided is a 4000# boat lift, 4000# pontoon lift, and 2 jet ski moorings during the summer. Mid-June the swim raft goes in the water and is anchored 200' off shore.
4 adult sit on top kayaks, 2 kids kayaks, to get ready for lake fun. There are a few lifejackets, but you may want to bring your own, wearing lifejackets is recommended for all water activities (especially for children). Beach towels are provided!
Lakefront living is wonderful and comes with all that nature provides - even bugs - come prepared to enjoy the outdoors.

The view alone was absolutely breathtaking! We had five adults and seven kids (all age three and under), and everyone had plenty of space to sleep comfortably and spread out. The kids loved the outdoor play area and couldn’t get enough of the sand volleyball court. Having two kitchens was incredibly convenient, allowing each family their own space. We will definitely be back again!

Elk lake estate did not disappoint. It was the perfect location for my sister's bachelorette party. We used the yard for some games and the sauna was amazing after a chilly day on the boat. The kayaks were in great condition too. There were plenty of beds in the house for our large group. This would also be a very family friendly place- will definitely be coming back with my children!

Perfect Family Vacation
Our family came from all over the country and it was the perfect spot for us. The house has everything you could ask for plus it’s the ideal lake location. We couldn’t ask for anything more! Thank you for making our trip so special. We will be back.

The house is perfect. We had an amazing time. The views of the lake are beautiful and there are multiple places to see it. We are a group of 10 and there was plenty of space for all of us. The house was well equipped for everything (kitchen, outdoors, indoor games, lake and plenty of towels). The location was near Elk Rapids and there was a grocery store right down the street. Our host was so kind and always responded right away with any questions we had. Highly recommend this beautiful home on the lake!!

Awesome House
This house is perfect for our group of 12. Easy to cook, hang out and enough rooms and beds for all of us. Being right on elk lake with kayak's available was awesome! Minutes from downtown Elk Rapids and short drive to golf courses, casino and downtown TC. Host is super responsive if needed.

Wonderful lake house vacation!
This house was just perfect for our BIG family vacation & it had plenty of space with activities for all the boys (ages 3 to 14). The water was so beautiful & the kayaks were great fun. The house was very clean. We would totally come back ... thank you for sharing this lake house with us!

Joe,
I was surprised by your review and low star rating. We were in daily communication about boating on elk Lake during your stay and you never mentioned any issues with the house or lake. Even though you only stayed 2 nights, I want everything to be perfect!
We take cleanliness very seriously, our crew is amazing and I did a walk through before your arrival - as I do with every stay - and found that the house was spotless.
Without specificity I will have trouble addressing what you may have been disappointed by.
The happiness and satisfaction of our guests shows in previous 5 star reviews, even mentioning how clean the house is.
I will share your review with the cleaning crew and we will brainstorm ways to improve what is already stellar.

This was our summer home while raising five children, now they are grown and busy. We want to share the lake and memory making possibilities with our guests. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Por qué eligió esta propiedad
After visiting many lakes in Michigan, we found the best one for our family. Elk Lake is a perfect combination of clear Caribbean water, low boating traffic, and it's close to a charming town with great restaurants. Our favorites are Town Club, Pearls, and Riverwalk Grill. The food trucks and beers at Shorts Pullbarn are delicious. For pizza try Chef Charles.
Qué distingue a esta propiedad
Amazing views down Elk Lake, on a clear day you can see the south end of the lake which is about seven miles away! Those views are accessible from almost every room of the house. Elk Lake is connected to Torch Lake through Skegamog Lake and Torch River, spend an entire day boating the famous Chain of Lakes.
