Great location on the lake! House was clean and stocked with day to day essentials. Chris was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

My sister, mother, and I have stayed here before and our stay this time was just as wonderful! This is such a nice location and the home is very nice and relaxing! Chris is great to work with. Hope we will be able to visit again!!

Nice place to stay

House was clean, very well equiped and good beds. The vieuw of the lake is fantastic and going on the water with the canoes is fun

Beautiful lake front property

We really enjoyed our time at this property. Beautiful house on a quiet street with an equally beautiful view of the lake. House was very clean and well appointed with a well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. My family really enjoyed fishing off the private dock. Would definitely recommend this property!

My husband an i rented this beautiful home,for a relaxing getaway, an it was so much more my family had a great time. From.the fishing, kayaking, boating,an just enjoying the lake ,the views are so nice..the home had everything we needed,an more 😀

Great property

We stayed 3 nights at the property for a long weekend. Very clean and quiet but probably more going on during the summer months. We really enjoyed the view of the water although we only walked down to the pier a couple times. While we were there we went to the zoo, rcr museum, and relaxed the rest of the time. Great place to stay if you are coming to the area.

Highly recommend

Our family really enjoyed the screened in porch, dock access, fishing and the warm lake water. The house was clean and extremely comfortable. The host was very attentive with replying to me before and during our visit. The neighbors are very friendly as well. None of us wanted to leave. Will definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back to the area.

Memorial Weekend Getaway

Had an incredible weekend away! Friends flew in for Memorial Weekend and everyone fit comfortably. The place was incredibly clean, smelt new, and the amenities were amazing! The access to YouTube TV allowed us to watch some basketball during the rain we had. Great outdoor seating area and loved having access right to the lake and the fire pit. Was even given a list of things to do in the area which was incredibly helpful during the storm we encountered. Cannot say a bad thing about this place!!

Nice place, but I wouldn't stay again

The place is very nice and looks like the photos. However, it would have been nice if they had used a broom or something to sweep away the many, many cobwebs from INSIDE the screened porch. Also, all of the notes posted inside the house with the "rules" that included threats about deposit loss was very unwelcoming. I suggest adding the rules to the information book instead of posting them all over the house. Overall we had a good weekend.

Joyce, you're right - a rural, wooded, lakeside cottage is probably not the best place to stay if you are concerned about bugs and spiderwebs. I would also love to see a picture of any evidence of the threat of deposit loss in the cottage, as it simply doesn't exist. We've been a perfect 5 stars at this property for 2 years on all booking platforms. You are the first to ever knock off a star, let alone 2. I sure hope you have a better experience next time booking with someone else.

For a quick lake getaway, this was a a reasonable, clean and well stocked option. The owner was very responsive. The houses are close together, so you are aware of neighbors and other guests, but we found the trip peaceful. There is a pretty view of the lake from the dock, with quite a bit of bird watching with herons, egrets and ducks. The kayaks were definitely a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked, and the house was clean and comfortable.

The house has a nice screened porch that faces west for the sunsets. Nice showers and nice kitchen. Large living area makes the house feel larger than it is with plenty of room. Everything we needed to cook was provided. The host was responsive and helpful when we had questions. It was nice to be waterfront in Abbott’s Creek where we could dock the boat at the floating dock and come and go fishing as much as we wanted. We live on Gaston where the water level is kept in certain parameters. But it was nice that Highpoint Lake was 3 feet below full. It allowed us to motor under the Hwy 8 bridge and tour the whole lake. We caught a few fish and had fun.
