The Back Woods Cabin has a charming, cozy interior with prim decor.
Spend your time relaxing on the porch enjoying the serenity of the woods or relaxing in the hot tub. At night sit around the fire roasting hot dogs & making smores. In the morning sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee and watch for wildlife.
The private cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway, honeymoon or anniversary trip. So leave your troubles behind and come make memories & enjoy a quiet, peaceful time at this retreat that is off the beaten path. Our cabin has all the amenities you need to relax and enjoy your time in the mountains. You will feel at home with the comfy bed & the kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need including coffee & a coffee pot. The living room includes a comfortable sofa & flat screen Dish tv.
Located off Edwards Road just minutes from town & restaurants. If you are planning a fun, relaxing getaway The Back Woods Cabin is the cabin for you!
The cabin has a furnace & A/C to keep you warm in the winter & cool in the summer.

Most perfect place on the globe

Maybe that is extreme to say, but we have traveled a lot and yet something about this small, simple, rustic, cabin left us both feeling that maybe we truly found a place to rest and get away fully. We appreciated the privacy provided by the host; the cabin's look and feel makes you believe you have gone far back in time-- until you find the hot tub ready for you inside! What a treat! The fireplace was heavenly. We stopped to purchase wood on the road leading up to the cabin and we went through a LOT! We ate out twice - once at the old village Inn where we enjoyed drinks and great food! Then we visited the Heritage Restaurant for delicious smash burgers. However, we really did not want to be away from the cabin so we spent almost all of our three days there. We are thankful for the beautiful time spent together in the most lovely, peaceful place on earth! (in our humble opinion)

Another fabulous stay

We had another wonderful relaxing stay at the cabin. We lost track of how many times we have stayed at the cabin (7 or 8) times.From the cozy fireplace to the relaxing hot tub! It never disappoints !!!

Charming & cozy log home in gorgeous setting!

This was our second time staying here. We totally enjoyed the scenery in spring and again, in winter. Surrounded by pines and a variety of mature trees with a beautiful pond, we enjoyed the privacy as well as the hot tub and wood cackling in the fireplace! The house is very comfortable with antique country style decor and finishes as well as the fully stocked kitchen and very comfy bed. Very clean and a genuine log home! We look forward to enjoying the house in fall! We highly recommend!

Anniversary weekend

This was our second stay at the cabin. Perfectly quiet area, within driving distance to shops and restaurants. The cabin is rustic and charming but is stocked with all the essentials. Love this place!

Honeymoon

We chose this beautiful rustic cabin for our honeymoon. Oddly enough we were sweethearts at 15 and reconnected at a class reunion a widow and divoricee and got married at 63 years of age. This cabin was such a sweet place rustic like my husband and primitive country like me

Amazing is an understatement

We could live here. Such a cute place and the property pond provided hours of entertainment. We sat by the firepit and watched a Female Belted Kingfisher catch and eat fish.

Relaxing and peaceful

This property is just what we needed to relax and celebrate a birthday. It even snowed for his birthday making it more magical. We will be returning wish we could have stayed longer.

Excellent stay

The cabin is everything we thought it would be. Decorated beautifully and so rustic. The bed is very comfy, and I would love to know where the blanket was purchased from. It was so soft and warm even though it was thin blanket. The hot tub was heavenly. Just the view alone makes you not one to leave the property. We will certainly go back again.

Everything was great!a

Lisa was wonderful, immediately responded to all my questions before the trip. The cabin was amazing! Clean and everything i needed was there. Hot tub was heaven! The only small glitch is that the kittens terrorized my 80 pound pup, ! but i was able to keep them apart. I will definitely return!

We both love old log cabins & peaceful settings.
It had been a dream of ours to restore a old log cabin.
We built this cabin to rent out & share with others.
The cabin was orginally from Manhiem. We numbered the logs tore it down & moved them to this property. My husband & son built the cabin & set it back up. Every minute of spare time they had they worked on it. It took around 1 year to complete. We would love you to come & stay!
