Reserve this cute cottage as home-base for your tour of Lancaster County. Prepare meals in the modern kitchen while your children enjoy the backyard and swings. This country home has easy access to Route 222 and the PA Turnpike making it a quick drive from many attractions. Take in the farmland view from the backyard, or stroll to Springside chip-and-putt golf just up the road. Antiquing in Adamstown (the antique capital) is only 10 minutes away. Or go hiking and birdwatching at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area.

Although there is no TV, free Wi-Fi is provided. Or unplug and enjoy the games anfireplace.

Notice: The stairs are classic (very steep). Those with poor balance should not plan on sleeping on the second story.

This is the prior home of a family on a Bible Translation project in Mexico. Enjoy their cozy home while supporting their mission!

Wonderful Place to Stay

We enjoyed our stay. Our grandchildren loved the swingset and toys in the home. We had a crazy wedding week, and this home so was nice to come back and relax to. We loved all the little touches that made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend

Wonderful Cottage

This cottage is super cute and very nice for a getaway. We stayed to go to Shocktober and it was a perfect place as it was less than 15 minutes from the house. It was clean and the hosts left plenty of snacks and water for us. I would highly recommend this place.

Heaven on earth

We came to the cottage for a church conference event with some of our family. We were blown away by the house! Every detail was thought of specially if you have children! This was such a peaceful home! We also loved reading the story of the home owners and their family! I can’t wait to stay here again! Ps the cinnamon rolls were amazing!!

Quilting ladies

Great house and location - within driving distance of many little towns. Many amenities. Very clean and welcoming. Stairs to second floor - very steep, but that was all disclosed before. Quaint house. We all really enjoyed our stay - would come back.

Family Trip

Great location, approx 20 minutes to most nearby towns. It was great to have a house to return to instead of a hotel which is great when travelling with family.

Wonderful property run by wonderful couple

Where to begin? We wanted a place to stay that was clean, quiet and a bit off a beaten path. Did we score with this place! The couple managing this place were welcoming in the extreme. They were helpful they were courteous and they were friendly. I couldn't ask for anything more. The property was incredible. It was cleaner than I could have imagined and homie. They had made some cinnamon rolls for us that were delicious, there were nice touches of home and care all over the place and it was greatly appreciated. I couldn't give this place a higher rating and if we come back to Lancaster county I guarantee we will be staying here. That said there were a couple things that I would suggest. First they need to work on the stock of the kitchen just a bit: a strainer would be very nice for pasta, sugar and a few other essentials. A desk or chest of drawers in the downstairs bedroom would have been greatly appreciated. But that really is about it. Other than those minor things this place was an absolute pleasure to stay at and I think the couple greatly for our stay.

Wonderful home and hosts!

This charming home was perfect for our get away! We enjoyed the gracious snacks, personal note, fire pit in the back yard and the decor throughout the house. We especially liked the world map on the wall, and the request that we pin the places that we lived! Highly recommend!

What a Blessing!

We loved our stay here, perfect for our four kids! They loved the swings outside, and all the toys and games inside. The thoughtful snacks and touches just made it feel like home. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Wonderful birthday/mother's day weekend

Everything about this property was on point. The beds were very comfortable, we had EVERYTHING we needed and then some. Dean and Christine really pay attention to the details and it shows. We would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!

Sisters Weekend

Great home!

We had a great stay at this house. The hosts are especially kind and caring and made sure we had everything we need throughout the stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed was very comfortable and the whole space was tastefully designed and decorated. All the cleaning products were unscented, which for us was a big bonius since we are sensitive to perfumes. And the view from the house in the back is a peaceful open field with nice sunrises. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Family Gathering

Our family enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It’s an older, cozy home, filled with God’s presence. The location is beautiful; nestled in the country. We enjoyed family dinners, fires and good conversations. I was nervous about not having a TV but it worked out. A radio for music might be a nice touch? The steps are a bit steep but all bedrooms were fine. We managed with one bathroom and there were 5 of us. The children’s toys came in handy since we had a one year old. The house was very clean and surroundings were beautiful! Dean was a wonderful host. He checked on us throughout our stay to make sure everything was okay.

Clean, Comfortable and Cozy!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Translators Cottage! Not only did we have the opportunity to support the family’s important Bible Translation mission, we were also provided with an incredibly clean and comfortable home to enjoy our family vacation! The toys, books, and games provided by the hosts were a big hit! And we thoroughly enjoyed the lack of TV. We were truly able to relax and unwind. We will be back!!

Stay Away

There were a few complications with this stay away. The check in was positive and the host was responsive. What I found annoying was there being no hot water in the shower. The outdoor grill did not function as advertised because it did not get hot enough to barbecue on. The ceiling light in living room did not go on for 24 hours but then turned on and I could not turn it off. I found the master bed extremely stiff and uncomfortable which did not allow me to sleep on it. There was an Oder in the home which might have come from the shag carpeting not being clean enough or vacuumed with a high quality unit that cleanses with pulsating water/ shampoo. Overall it was a disappointing stay.

We (Dean & Christine) are excited to host you! We live here in Reinholds and have 6 children. We enjoy doing things together as a family, especially outdoor activities like camping and biking.

This cottage was home to Christine's sister's family before they moved to Mexico on a long-term Bible Translation project. We enjoyed doing some remodeling and getting the home ready to host. We think it's the right combination of country and close proximity to attractions.

Being in Lancaster County, there are plenty of things to do and see in the area. It's also close to major highways, giving you quick access to Hershey (Hersheypark, Hershey Chocolate), Lancaster shopping, Cabela's in Hamburg, and more.
