Samantha, Thanks for staying at our house. We like feedback and am sorry about the flies. This time of the year with cold nights unfortunately this is an ongoing problem that is hard to resolve. We have an excellent cleaning service that is aware. During spring and summer months this is not been a problem. Thanks again and hope you had a good time. Thanks Laya and family. People are surprised by the 360 degree views and the properties privacy. It is best to have a higher clearance vehicle such as an SUV or a car like a Volvo or Forester. We are having the road redone this fall. Hope to see you again soon.

You mentioned flies- yes they are part of life in a wilderness retreat. But one of the benefits of staying with us is guest can reach out if something is bothering them, and we’ll fix it- so it’s a shame you didn’t let us know while you were there. You said fire pit felt far away. For clarity: it’s under 100 yds from the house and offers a great view. I'm sorry if it felt more distant in practice. As for the internet and road: we clearly state that there is none and we just put in a new road and haven’t had a problem with accessing the property. By design this is meant to be a peaceful and relaxing escape. If that is not what you signed up for, I understand the frustration, though we do take care to be transparent and advertise exactly what the experience is. We’ve hosted many guest who come here knowing it’s a rustic nature retreat not a luxury resort.
