The house was very spacious, perfect for our family. So close to the beach. Beach equipment is not provided, so bring your own towels, umbrellas and chairs.

Tybee Vacation Rental lack of communication with us was beyond belief. We got there and the unit was cold. We turned the thermostat to 68 degrees but it made no difference. I called at 0630 to report this. I woke some poor unfortunate soul up somewhere in Texas. Finally, she said she had put in a work order for us. I drove to the local office on Tybee Island as soon as I felt they had time to show up and get their coffee. I reported the temperature and situation. Then, many hours later I had to call again to see what was going on. No one had a clue. I asked to speak to a manager, but the agent assured me that this was being handled. Hours went by and no one called me back with any information. I kept telling the agent that we had three young children, including a 5 month old coming that afternoon. At 3:00 it was still only 58 degrees in the unit. After six calls, we made another visit to the office. Finally, a technician was sent to our unit. He got there 24 hours after we checked in. Did you catch that?? 24 hours without heat. Let that sink in. Then, someone was fixing the HVAC, and the water heater was turned off. We called about no hot water early the next morning. No one fixed that for hours. And, when they finally did, no one from the office called us to let us know that it had been fixed. So, we went 24 hours with no heat and we went 20 hours with no hot water. And, no one kept us in the communication loop. Still haven't heard from any manager.

This unit is absolutely beautiful! The decor and condition is fabulous. It is an upstairs unit with a large open porch and the front door is on a beach access street. There were only a few things that made this a 9/10 as opposed to a 10 and thanfully they were minor. The listing initially said there was parking for 3, but we were only able to comfortably park one SUV. We could park a small two-door car and my Explorer close enough so that they would not be in the alley, however, we could not get all of the doors open. There was a third parking spot but a vehicle was parked there. We initially thought it was a neighbor using one of our spots, however after two days of communication with the management company, we believe it was the owner’s vehicle. Ultimately this was just an inconvenience, however, if we had more than two drivers, it would have been a problem. The only other snag is that pictures of the house showed a fenced yard area that I was hopeful to use for our dog, however, that part of the property is only for the lower unit. The yard was not advertised so it was purely me making a wrong assumption, and again just an inconvenience. I just feel like knowing these two tidbits ahead of time could help future renters. These are not complaints just facts- We would absolutely stay here again!
