Welcome to the Wandering Mermaid. Check out the new pool and outdoor sitting area with fire pit.

The kitchen has white granite counter tops with white/blue cabinets.
The dining area features a large farm house table that can seat 10 people. The living room continues the coastal vibe with 2 large couches and an oversized chair.

The master bedroom is an oasis with king bed, 13 ft ceilings and a quite seating area. The master bedroom closet is so large we stuck a full size bed in there if needed for extra guest. The kids room upstairs is adjacent to the master bedroom with full bed with twin over. The second king bedroom and queen bedroom are located on main floor and share a bathroom. Check out video with drone footing to get a birds eye view of the area.

There are several bikes available for guest use along with gas and charcoal grill. The grilling area downstairs has a sectional sofa and chair with a 6 person table along with a full outdoor bath.

We provide a starter kit of soaps, shampoos and paper products along with filters and coffee for a standard coffee pot. There is also a keurig. There is an IGA grocery on Tybee that is a short walk or bicycle ride from the house if you need additional supplies. Additional charge of $50 per night to heat pool October thru April 1st. This house is exceptional! It’s a beautiful property and a great location on the island. The owner must be a professional decorator, or if she isn’t, she should be!! Our family loved spending a week there. I could live there!!!!

A perfect home for relaxing by the pool or a short walk to the beach. No need to bring anything more than drink, food and a suit as the house is prepared with beach towels, beach wagon, chairs, bikes and more. Two grills provide your option to enjoy outdoor dining and the kitchen is well appointed. House and neighborhood are quiet and the neighbors (residents and visitors) are friendly and respectful of others. We plan to return next summer and will be better prepared to enjoy the property.

This property was wonderful! Had plenty of room for our group of 10 to spread out and not feel on top of each other! Plenty of kitchen accessories, the bikes and beach equipment were great (one less thing we had to remember or fuss with). The pool although small was refreshing! And the full outdoor bathroom was so convenient! We would definitely book this property again.

Our stay at the Wandering Mermaid was a great one! Vickie was very responsive to all questions. The house was perfect in the sense that it was centrally located to the beach, restaurants and shops. The house was clean and slept our family comfortably. We went on multiple bike rides as a family. I recommend this house 10/10.

We visited Tybee Island for a girls’weekend and learned bed it. The house was perfect for our group and was very clean. Great location and walkable to the beach/town.

We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous property! The beach theme throughout the house is wonderful, and the layout is incredibly spacious and clean. It truly has all the amenities you could ever need. The location is perfect—just a quick, easy walk or bike ride to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The highlights of our trip were the local excursions: we caught sharks on a fishing charter and uncovered shark teeth, turtle/dolphin bones, a stingray tooth, and ancient lava during a fossil hunting tour.

House was nice and we enjoyed the little pool. I had issues checking in, but after speaking with Vickie things were much better. We didn’t get the complementary bottle of wine though! Maybe next time.

Beautiful, comfortable home with great amenities, bikes, beach chairs and equipment. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Loved the outdoor shower and pool lounge area. Hosts very responsive with quick communications, and also very gracious with us accidentally breaking a candle holder. My first visit to beautiful Tybee, highly recommend!

Property is beautiful and very spacious. Has a ton of character and lots of nice touches. The heated pool is small but immaculate, and the kitchen is very well equipped. YMMV with the beds and pillows, but only in the way you'd expect from a short-term rental. Easy walk to the beach and a cute neighborhood.

Wonderful house in an extremely convenient location! Easy walk or bike ride to the ocean, the back river and restaurants. Lots of room in a very well appointed beach cottage! The owner was available for any questions and kept me informed of all the amenities. I am looking forward to booking this cottage again in the future! My friends and I had so much fun there!!
