My brother and I had a dads&daughters intro to camping weekend and it was very fun and a great way to get kids into camping. Cabin was a great balance of rustic and comfortable. Weather was hot and humid, hard to escape the heat but when the kids discovered the cold plunge they were addicted. Never would've thought they would like that so much haha. Lots of trails and things to do so there was never a dull moment. Good location also, quiet and felt remote but 10-15 min drive to ingles for junk food.In all it was a awesome place and will be back with the rest of the family soon!

Great campsite

My wife and I, along with our mini Aussie had a wonderful time. Great location. Close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The setup had everything we needed for a great stay.

A great get-away!

We wanted to take our extended family members camping but lacked adequate gear. This place offered everything we did not have plus some.

Beautiful, convenient camping location

This is a lovely compromise between primitive camping and a cabin! We enjoyed the cold mountain air and clear skies, but were happy to crawl into sleeping bags on provided bunks and sleeping pads. All the requirements are covered-water for washing up, an outhouse, propane cook top, French press, dishes. We loved our experience and will return!

Pretty clean and quiet for a rustic cabin. Had noisy neighbors till about midnight-not necessarily the host's fault but pretty damn annoying.

Everything was perfect, aside from having the neighbor way too close for my liking. That was an error on my end, I must have missed the fine print stating they'd be so close. The Cabin was so spacious and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend to those who are okay with having others close by. The only reason I complain about this is because I don't like to let my dogs roam if I know there are others nearby. But other than that it was great. The hike we found was 9 minutes away which was a plus. I'd also be aware of the shared outhouse, but that soon won't be an issue because it seems something better is currently being built as the outhouse and bathhouse.

Our sites are actually very private. The cabin you stayed is the closest to next the cabin, but it is 40-50 yards away. Our Teela Springs cabin is completely isolated with no neighbors within several hundred yards. I love camping, but not crammed in with a bunch of other people, which is why we have kept it so private and spaced out.

The cabin was definitely secluded and quiet. There were a few let downs. On night one there was no firewood in the communicated location and I did not have enough signal to reach the host. The previous occupant definitely had not done a thorough cleaning. There were still old coffee grounds in the French Press and it looked as though they had tried to use the French press as a percolator in the fire? It was covered with ash and deformed at the bottom. There was only one functioning lantern in the cabin (I'm thankful I brought my own). Everything else was as described. Cute little rustic spot.

Amazing find

This cabin is part of a gorgeous property called Cold Spring Base Camp, which includes a few other cabins and campsites, And hiking/biking trails and field and a little stream. A quick drive from asheville and once you get on the property everything is well marked so it’s easy to see where to go. Each of the sites is thoughtfully oriented with its own parking and privacy. Loved the string lights and ambiance. Cabin had older elements which added to the charm but the structure itself had been redone so brand new floor/decking which was nice. The whole space was a perfect blend of campy, yet tidy and clean. Was also great having full set of pots/pans/utensils provided. Outhouse was close by and immaculate. Hiking around the property was fun and good for families with younger kids. Booking now for future stays as these cabins and camping sites are sure to stay booked up once word gets out.

We had a great 1 night stay in the corn crib unit of this property. It was extremely peaceful. We only stayed 1 night and had to leave early in the morning to continue our travels but we wish we could have stayed longer. The sauna was a pleasant experience and the shower/bathroom building was the cleanest I had ever seen from a camping type set up. Would stay again and definitely recommend others stay.
