The house was fine, my personal opinion, updates are needed. A rug in one of the bedrooms is a trip hazard. Rug in front room needs to be changed, table in front room needs to be replaced ASAP, whoever tried covering it, did a horrible job. Dining table needs to be replaced. The place just needs some up to date furniture. Pet peeve, take the towels to the washer area, load and start the dishwasher. I didn’t know if we needed to call if someone stopped by. I understand about party situations, but call if they’re there 5 minutes or more. Overall it fit our needs because it was close to our relative.

Thank you for your feedback. We do want to clarify several points for future guests, as we strongly disagree with the characterization of the home in this review. As the guest themselves noted, “the house was fine,” and the property is accurately represented in our listing photos and description. The comments regarding the furniture, rugs, and tables are largely matters of personal preference. We were not aware of any unsafe condition or “trip hazard” involving the rugs, and we do not agree that the furnishings were in the condition described. We routinely inspect and maintain the home between reservations and address legitimate maintenance or safety concerns when they arise. Regarding checkout, we simply ask guests to place used towels in the laundry area and start the dishwasher. These are basic checkout requests intended to help our cleaning team turn the property over efficiently; guests are not expected to clean the home, and a professional cleaning is completed after every stay. We also take occupancy limits, noise, and our no-party rules seriously because this is a residential neighborhood and we have an obligation to our neighbors and future guests. Any communication or property oversight related to those rules is intended to protect the home and surrounding community, not interfere with a guest’s stay. We appreciate constructive feedback, but we believe the overall rating and several of the statements in this review do not fairly reflect the condition of the property or the experience we work hard to provide our guests.

Great Spot

I booked the property for visiting family members (4 adults, 2 teens). Everything ran smoothly, the property was lovely and conveniently located, clean, and at a fantastic price. The host was responsive and helpful. 10/10 highly recommend this spot for your next stay.

Stay was good. Beds are comfortable. Place needed some cleaning and TLC. Owner was responsive and easy to work with. Area was ok but not somewhere I would walk at night.

Baseball outing

The house was everything as advertised. Clean, well stocked, etc. I did not like having to share my drivers license via remote communication, due to the lack of security of texts and emails, however the owner requires this and it is disclosed in the rental information. The owner was extremely friendly and a great host. Will rent from them again.

IDEAL!

We were in town for the WWBA Event. Having done the 7 days in a hotel eating out 3x per day thing in the past, we decided to try to get a house instead. This was my first time getting a VRBO on my own, it was smooth and the host answered all my questions very quickly. If you are looking at this location for a WWBA, it worked out well for us (30-50 min in traffic to all but 1 game). You know from experience that the distance to the games is pretty much 'luck of the draw'. The house is close to I-20 which helps. There is also a small garage which is great for your players to stow gear and keep the dirt out of the house (I am sure the host appreciates this part). Easy hop to a local walmart and publix.

This guest cancelled their reservation before checking in and never stayed at the property. Their cancellation was outside the applicable refund period, so they were not eligible for a refund under the cancellation policy agreed to at booking. Because the guest never entered or experienced the home, this rating does not reflect the condition of the property or an actual stay. Given the circumstances, we believe the low rating was submitted in response to the cancellation and refund outcome rather than their experience at the property. We wanted to provide this context for future guests reviewing our listing.

Hi, I’m Michael! I’m a proud University of Georgia grad (Go Dawgs!!!) and also studied Finance and Accounting at the University of Virginia. After school, I moved to Atlanta and worked in finance for several years before discovering my true passion: hosting.

I started back in 2015 by renting out a spare bedroom, which quickly grew into remodeling a basement and eventually helping friends and family design their own vacation homes. What began as a side project turned into Host This Home in 2018, where I now get to focus full-time on creating comfortable, memorable spaces for travelers.

I also serve as Treasurer for the Atlanta Metro Short-Term Rental Association, where I work with other hosts to keep Atlanta’s short-term rental community strong and welcoming.

When you stay with me, my goal is simple: to make you feel right at home while enjoying everything our city has to offer.
