Everything was very updated, there were some bug issues that I think spraying the property would help with but other than that, it was a good stay!

We had a great stay. The property matched the listing. It's very close to town and convenient. Has a nice place if you have pets for them to go outside. Plenty of space. Well stocked kitchen. It's a good value for its proximity to Frankfort and Crystal Lake.

Overall, a great experience! I wish I would have looked at the address or location just a little bit better. I didn’t realize it was so close to the main highway. That was all on me. Excellent communication with the host. The inside was nice and clean.

Great little place just outside of Frankfort. Property was clean and looked exactly as it does in the photos. We had a great stay and would stay here again.

Adorable, modern cottage in convenient location

Everything is super new, clean, and cozy! A very short drive into town and close to all the activities in Sleeping Bear Dunes.

This was a great pet-friendly stay. All the amenities of home in a nice rustic setting just a little ride from downtown Frankfort. Only caution is for taller individuals - ceilings in the stairwell did result in a bumped head a few times by my partner who is 6’. Great stay overall and thankful for the inclusion of our furry friends. :-)

Beautiful home close to town!

This rental was outstanding and completely remodeled and up to date! It offered every amenity we could need plus it was located close to downtown. I highly recommend!

Bearly Enough Time.....

We loved our short stay at The Bear. It left us wanting more time here and visiting Frankfort. It was cute, clean, and felt homey. We loved how close it was to town and the beach while still feeling secluded and private.

Highly recommend staying here!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The host had very quick response time to any questions I had. The house was very nicely renovated. You can tell the host really puts forth the effort to ensure the house is stocked. Fully stocked kitchen and even had toiletries if you needed them. Overall very pleased and would love to stay here again.

Just far enough away from town for peace, but close enough to hit the beach!

Very clean and well appointed. Everything is brand new! There are some stairs to get to either living area. Was not an issue for us, but important if you have issues traveling stairs.A few miles from town and close to everything benzie county has to offer. The hosts were very communicative and we had no issues while here.Truly a relaxing place to stay while away

Bachelorette weekend

The property was very nice and well decorated inside. We had an amazing time and loved the area! There was a bad smell (cat litter) in the basement and we were not aware there was not AC. Other than that, it was perfect!

We did not know this property was a split level. It had been disclosed that the basement had a bedroom but we were surprised that 2 flights of stairs had to be ascended to reach the main level from the basement Property had everything we needed

Good rental for the price

We had a nice stay at the Bear. Check in and out was easy and the duplex had a very nice interior renovation. Beds and couch were comfortable, and we enjoyed the deck! The house was a challenge with a young kid - the landing and dual staircase was difficult to navigate each time we had to leave the house or load the car, the door did not lock from the inside so I worried our son would let himself out, and the second bedroom was on a different floor so we were very separated in the evening and the stairs were tough at night. The house was outside of downtown and was on a pretty loud, busy corner. We didn't end up using the outside space much.
