This was our fourth time staying at Stephen’s cottage on the lake! The views never disappoint and neither does Stephen’s care as a host. The place was very clean and accommodating to our week-long stay. We would definitely return!

The lot is large and sets back from the road. The area is quiet and the lake is beautiful. A great location close to a lot of natural beauty. The owner is easy to work with and responds quickly to any issue. This is my third stay and a plus if you want to bring your dog. The cottage itself is charming with one bedroom and a pull out couch. A second guest cottage with one bedroom is included. The cottage is clean although this year it looks like it needs a little extra dusting (fan blades) mostly. I would love to return soon.

Views from the house were breathtaking! Great location right on the lake and near the National Forest. The house was clean and the property was so well maintained. The host was very friendly and was available to answer all of our questions. Definitely will be planning a trip back.

The cabin was very clean and spacious. It was conveniently located to hiking trails. The listings of hiking trails, restaurants and other attractions was extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely home in Honor Michigan. The lake was crystal clear with shallow waters extending out hundreds of feet. Our dog Cooper loved romping in the water too! The home & guesthouse were perfect for our family of 5. We enjoyed a kayak trip on the Platte River through Riverside rentals. We took on the upper Platte in 4 hours. It was fun but very difficult to maneuver if you aren’t used to kayaking. We went to Sleeping Bear Dunes to witness the incredible dune that towers over Lake Michigan. We did not go down the dune as coming back up seemed a bit too adventurous for us! Highly recommend taking a look. We decided to check out Gravity Hill on Joyful & Putney Roads in Arcadia Michigan. What a freaky experience! A must see when you are visiting. Stephen, the owner was a delightful man. He was very accommodating and helpful. We want to return to this lovely home on Deadstream Road again next summer.

Was a phenomenal experience. The host was super attentive to make sure we were taken care of. Place was spotless and beautiful location on the lake. We even caught a few really nice fish!

The location was perfect for our stay and getting to/from Frankfort for the Ironman race. The views from the house and deck were amazing. And having a coffee grinder available for our whole bean coffee was a nice extra (and I think a first out of all the rentals we’ve stayed in).

Beautiful spot!! Comfortable cottage and amazing views from the living room and deck. Excellent location for exploring Sleeping Bear and the Leelanau. Pet friendly on top of it all!The best.Check out the Baker’s Burrow for wonderful baked goods by the side of the road! Also recommending St Ambrose’s Meadery, fun place!
