The Entire Waldoboro Inn
The Waldoboro Inns Rooms 1, 3 and 5 can be rented as a block for groups traveling together. These 3 rooms are the bedrooms of the original home built in 1880 before the building was converted to an Inn and Tavern in the 1930s. High ceilings, big windows, beautiful mill work, marble mantles and all the trappings of 19th century luxury smushed together with modern comfort and a collection of art and furniture that makes pitstops at every point between now and then.
The idea for this inn was to create an experience rather than just a place to rest your head. The scale and proportions of the rooms with their high elaborate tin ceilings and large windows makes the rooms feel grand and their inhabitants special.
All the rooms are carefully curated with contemporary art and unique furnishings designed to engage our guests. Make yourself at home in the communal kitchen preparing meals or packing picnics for the next day's adventure. Connect over a game of pool in our classic billiard's room or transport yourself to another time and place just wandering our gardens
Behind the Inn, the mansion's original carriage house has been converted into a wine bar - Ida's. Showcasing natural wines from around the world alongside local beer and snacks, Ida's is the perfect place to wind-down the day or have a drink before catching a show at The Waldo Theatre next door.
SELF CHECK-IN – The Waldoboro Inn is a self check-in accommodation. We do not have a front desk or staff though you may cross paths with our cleaners or the bartender during your stay. When you make a reservation you will receive a door code to access the building and your room.
ACCESSIBILITY - 2 of our 3 rooms are located on the second floor. If you can not climb stairs make sure you reserve Room #1.
NO PETS, NO EXCEPTIONS – Sorry, we love animals but out of respect for our cleaning staff and the age of the building we do not allow them on site. Violations of our pet policy are subject to a $150 additional cleaning fee.
CHILDREN – Due to the historic nature of the building, the Inn is best suited to accommodating guests who are least 10 years old. If you are traveling with a child younger than 10, please consider their ability to tread lightly and respect quiet hours.
NO SMOKING OR VAPING – Violations to our smoking policy are subject to a $150 fee.
MINIMUM STAY - Your room requires a two (2) night minimum stay. Longer minimum stays may be required during holidays and special events. Same day reservations and orphan nights are sometimes made available for single night stays.
AVAILABILITY – Our calendar opens up 180 days in advance. If you don't see availability further out, check back 180 days from your desired travel dates and the calendar will reflect current availability.
CHECK-IN is AFTER 3 P.M. AND CHECKOUT is 11 A.M. No early check-in or late checkout without prior arrangement. Any guest found not to have left their room and the premises by check-out time will be automatically charged a $50 fee.
CANCELLATIONS & ALTERATIONS – Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that. If you rent the entire Inn: Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING – Linens and bath towels are included with your room. We do not provide daily housekeeping service and suggest you bring beach towels as ours are not available for off site use.
RATES – Rates adjust based on availability and are subject to change without notice.
PARKING – We provide guests with off street parking behind the town library two doors to our north. We have a driveway onsite for loading and unloading. Parking on School St and Shady Av is not allowed at anytime.
NOISE - Out of respect for our neighbors and other guests quiet hours are 10pm to 8am.
