Luxe, lake-front open living for the whole family

Beautiful, open-floor plan all on one level for the whole family to enjoy! Gorgeous lake views and private dock. A desirable location, this lake-front home is situated on Poe Creek on the southeast side of Lake Gaston, 10 min. drive to Littleton. There are 4 king beds with en-suite bathrooms and bunk room with 4 built-in, twin-size beds for your smaller traveling companions. Full-size laundry room, Fire pit, Blackstone Griddle (air fryers), Ping Pong, and Kayaks are just some of the amenities!



Welcome to Leeward Bound! As you walk through the front door you will be welcomed into a very large and open kitchen, dining, and living space. In the kitchen there is plenty of room for multiple chefs to whip up a feast utilizing the fully stocked cabinets, double ovens and two refrigerator/freezers. Not only is there HUGE kitchen island but also a 12-person dining table to seat your entire family! Cozy up in the living room to watch your favorite show on the 70 in. TV with included AppleTV for any of your streaming channels (cable channels also available). A full size laundry room with front load washer and dryer is available for washing all of those beach towels! The home is outfitted with stamped, concrete floors throughout.



You and your guests can choose from any of the five bedrooms! There are 4 king beds all with their own en-suite bathroom, and a bunk room with 4 built-in, twin-size beds for your smaller traveling companions.



Enjoy a competitive (or friendly) game of ping pong or a family game night (games, cards in the bunk room). A Blackstone griddle equipped with two air fryers and warming drawer is available so you can cook for your hungry crowd. Relax by the fire pit at the end of the day and enjoy some s’mores (roasting sticks available).



The dock is available for bringing or renting your own boat, a boat lift and two jet ski lifts for use. Table and chairs and a mini fridge are available for a dockside lunch or lounging. There are three kayaks with paddles for you to explore the surrounding lake!



A starter pack of paper towels, toilet paper will be provided as well as dish soap/sponge, trash bags, laundry detergent & dryer sheets.



* All four bathrooms in the home are en-suite in the bedrooms with a king size bed. There is no half bath.

Great house!

We had 10 adults and were still comfortable in this well appointed house. The house has a great location and dock for fishing, and the host was very responsive and accommodating.

The house was excellent! We can’t wait to come back again to this exact spot. The lot is fantastic- plenty of yard for the kids to enjoy and deep water (during our stay the water depth was 6 feet at the end of dock which was great for us)! The short walk from the house to the dock was a nice bonus for the littlest ones in our family. The house had everything we needed. It was a great open layout and we had the best time. Rebecca was so attentive to make sure we had everything we needed to have a great trip. The host really has thought of everything you might need- including nightlights, sound machines and step stools in the bathrooms for the kids. This home sets the bar high for vacation rentals!

Our stay was phenomenal! The house is laid out perfectly for multiple families and hanging out together. The kitchen drawers are labeled- which was such a smart idea. They had all that we needed, and then some. The dock and stairs to the shore was great for our younger kids. The older kids had a blast jumping in the water and fishing. We loved this home and host - she was very responsive. Definitely coming back!

Stunning house on the Lake

We loved this property! We had a girls weekend and everyone got their own bathroom and nice big beds. It was a lovely house that we found to be clean with good amenities. The spot on the lake is beautiful. We floated off the dock and enjoyed the large porch. The open floor plan was ideal for a group cooking and spending time together. Lastly, host was very organized with quick thorough communication.

First lake trip

This property was fantastic. Everything you could want for lake vacation. We loved the big dining table,everyone could actually eat together. The kids loved the bunk room. Loved having the 2 refrigerated! Of course the view was simply amazing! And Rebecca was wonderful to deal with. Couldn’t’ beat it!

Great time at the lake, house..

The lake was fantastic. We rented a boat, went fishind and swimming. My whole family enjoyed themselves. We wish the house had a community bathroom, it was awkward with every bathroom inside every bedroom. I did get awaken one time at 1 o clock in the morning with 2 ants in my bed.

We’re so glad you enjoyed your time at Lake Gaston! The house has 4 en-suite bathrooms in all the rooms with a king size bed and there is also a bunk room with 4 built-in bunk beds. It would be great to have an additional bathroom and we will look in to options to make the bathrooms more accessible in the future. Unfortunately, ants, as well as other pesky bugs are a common occurrence, especially at the lake. We addressed the situation quickly and had someone come spray within the hour and again during the stay.

Fantastic Home and Amenities Galore

This home is absolute perfection. The owners took great care in making sure that the stay was comfortable. Luxe is exactly how I would describe this property. From the personalized note, to the s'mores platter to lake specific teas and coffees. They have thought and prepared for everything! The location is also ideal for paddle boarding and kayaking with easy access to the main lake. We loved it! Can't wait to be back for more!

Gathering

The house and grounds are well maintained and user friendly. Kitchen is stocked with essential appliances and cookware. Seating available at the kitchen island and the long dining table. Fishing off the dock netted the kids a lot of fun and can-jam was a bigger hit than initially thought (extremely competitive sons and grand kids). All in all we enjoyed our stay at Leeward Bound.

Home Away from Home

The Newell Family would like to thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful lakeside home. We felt welcome from the very first moment we arrived with the snack and s’mores basket and your handwritten welcome note from Rebecca. Your amenities exceeded our expectations with you providing the thoughtful little things anticipating our needs making our stay even more enjoyable. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and the view was breathtaking and everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We also thank you for granting us a check out extension time. During our stay the Newell family created the perfect ending to our family reunion in Fayetteville NC. Our stay at your lake house offered us an opportunity to create new memories with 3 generations of our family and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Lake Gaston at the Leeward Lake House.
