Happy Hour Hideaway has all of the upscale features of any Luxury Lake Home. Great 4600+ square feet of open floor plan suited for multi-family vacation. Total of 5 spacious bedrooms with large closets, 4 baths, and 2 fully equipped custom gourmet kitchens w/granite counters. Home includes multiple entertainment and living areas with high end features: coffered ceiling, hardwood & tile floors and high ceilings throughout. Lower level features 2nd kitchen, bar and another family room for ultimate entertainment. Great bunkroom for the kids with attached bonus room for TV, PS3, and lots of games. Separate game room in lower level includes pool table, ping pong table and dart board area. 7-person hot tub is located on the lower level deck with another covered outdoor seating area.

Gently sloping Cove-to-main Lake lot w/ beautiful main lake views from the double sundeck boathouse and good water depth. Sundeck has plenty of room to spread out with lots of seating, tables, lounge chairs and a large umbrella if you need some shade. We also added a covered seating area on the lower level of the boathouse. Safe, quiet swimming cove only 4 lots from main lake!

For you to enjoy on the water: 4 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, large floating mat, assorted floats and blow up water toys. We also have life jackets available for use (various sizes). 2 hammocks are provided down by the lake for your afternoon siesta and there is a new large fire pit for your after dinner stories and s’mores. Enjoy some friendly competition at the cornhole pits (boards are included) or newly added basketball goal in the cul-de-sac.

Hi-speed internet for those that need to work. Spread out and enjoy all the comforts of home on your relaxing, fun Lake Gaston vacation.

Great house, family of 10 ranging from 86 to 15 all found it comfortable and spacious. There was plenty of space for meals, and we enjoyed the ping pong, darts and pool table as well as the hot tub. The location on the lake was good for boating, it is the last house on the cove, furthest inland, so no jumping off the dock as it was too shallow but good for floating :) Our only suggestion: since it's called Happy Hour, a cocktail shaker would have come in handy .

Relaxing family getaway

Home owners were outstanding. They went out of their way to make sure that our stay was great.

House was better than expected. The owners were in contact with us when we needed anything. Definitely will come back

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time and the owners were very responsive and accommodating. It was two families of 4 (2 adults & 2 kiddos) and it was plenty of room. The cove was perfect for younger kiddos. It was a great retreat for two fireman and their families.

We have been going to Lake Gaston every summer for the past 17 years and I can’t say enough about this house. It had everything we needed and more. Our family is once again left with the best memories after a week at LKG. Thank you Brian and Anne for being the best hosts.

Highly recommend

Nice property with 2 full kitchens, which made it easy for 2 families staying together. The owners were very responsive and the house has many small details that made us very comfortable.

Amazing home

The pictures do this property no justice! It is a gorgeous home with all the comforts for all ages to enjoy. The back yard& boathouse are perfect for outdoor activities. All my family enjoyed our week-end stay!

Beautiful home

Our family spent Thanksgiving and a milestone birthday at this beautiful home. This spacious home was very well stocked and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. My grandchildren loved the paddle boards, kayaks, hot tub, corn hole and all of us enjoyed the fire pit. Many thanks to our great hosts!

Many memories made here!!

Our stay here was wonderful! The home is beautiful inside and out. We loved how well stocked the home was, from the kitchens to the lake toys! Upon our arrival the home was very clean. We enjoyed the kayaks, the pool table, hot tub and fire pit! The hosts have truly thought of everything you may need to enjoy your stay!

Worth every penny! Will be renting it again!

We took our management team up to Lake Gaston for a ‘strategic planning weekend’ and we could not have had a better time! The accommodations were first class! Beautiful home; beautiful view; wonderful stay! Communication with the owners could not have been any better! We’re already planning next year’s retreat at this home!

Friendsgiving 2023

This most beautiful home was better than the pictures and the perfect spot for our multi-family Thanksgiving! The hosts were so pleasant and informative in their communications. They thought of everything we could possible need for an amazing stay! The amenities were great for our group. There was something for everyone, from the kayaks to the hot tub and the firepit to the 2 kitchens, etc! We give this property and the hosts 10 stars!

Amazing soace

This house had everything you need for a fantastic weekend. Stayed with 12 guys and we were all comfortable. Plenty of space, plenty of room for activities, great dock and outdoor space. The lake was beautiful and it was a treat to use the kayaks and paddle boards. Would highly recommend this to any group of friends or family gatherings.

Empty nesters

One of the best properties I have ever stayed in. We had 8 adults and had more than enough room. The fire pit and hot tub were fabulous and the lake toys, paddle boards, kayaks, life vests, floats, you name it the house had it. The house over all was stocked with everything you could need. The only thing was our food and the hosts were fantastic! Very responsive with any questions we had. I highly recommend and would go back if visiting Lake Gaston

Well equipped, comfortable, and specious

The house was a bit low on paper towels and toilet paper when we arrived, but was otherwise very well equipped. Brian was very proactive and responsive, offering to have the handyman swing by with paper products and--when my daughter lost her new earrings at the property--drove from Raleigh himself to search for them.
