This older house is very spacious with large living room ( great for doing yoga with friends, we could fit 4 mats in there comfortably), 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, large kitchen and dining space, and a big deck. The beds and pillows were very comfortable for this side-sleeper- much appreciated! We felt that the kitchen had only bare necessities ( 6 plates, 6 cups, 6 glasses, a couple of pots and pans, a basic coffee maker and filters), and considering Garden Bay has next to no restaurants and coffee shops, a bit more would have been appreciated. We especially noticed the absence of wine glasses.
The finishes are somewhat updated, but overall the feel is of an old house. There was no view of any kind, so do not be misled by the profile picture. The location is close to the water, but the surrounding streets are fairly steep, they were not walkable for the elderly in our party.
We had a great time hanging out in the house and on the deck with family and friends who live in Garden Bay, and I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because the house felt a bit dated and we would have appreciated a better stocked kitchen.
The host was quick to respond to our messages, so no complaints about communication. We had a great stay overall!
