Casa Urbana's - The Kaufmann Bedroom

Casa Urbana, located in The Ohio Building in downtown Terre Haute, is a 13,000 square foot second floor with 5 bedrooms and 4 private baths, 17 seat theatre room, sauna, rooftop terrace, gourmet kitchen, billiard room, and much more.

The Kaufmann Bedroom includes one king-size bed, queen sleeper sofa, closet, bar sink, television, en-suite bathroom with original clawfoot tub and fixtures and private balcony. With all room reservations, shared use of the 2nd floor gourmet kitchen, sauna, roof-top terrace, living room and billiard room included. Street parking is free on weekends and after 4pm weekdays. The adjacent SkyGarden Parking Garage is only steps away and provides overnight parking at $12/day.

Due to the unique nature of the building, visitors and additional guests are not allowed.


This renovated historic building was once a hotel in downtown Terre Haute. Now, the building hosts events and overnight accommodations.

Each guest suite, besides one, has an en-suite bathroom with heated floors. The building includes a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with espresso machine, sauna, massage chairs, theater with movies, billiard room with darts, rooftop terrace overlooking the city, and interior courtyard with grill.

Th guest rooms are on the second floor of the building. Please note that there is no elevator access.

While all bedrooms and access hallways are always private, note that spaces such as the kitchen, ballroom, billiard room, and rooftop will be shared with other guests if the entire Casa Urbana facility is not rented. We encourage you to inquire if you have any questions about this.

We do have additional spaces for rent that are available for large gatherings and events. We encourage you to inquire if you have any questions. Guests planning events during their stay such as birthday parties, graduation events, etc. that will involve persons not included in those staying overnight are required to inquire about event.

Due to the public and private events being hosted on the property and for safety and security of all guests, security cameras are mounted in high traffic, common/public access areas of the building, including the entry door, alleys outside of building, bar area, kitchen, ballroom, hallways, etc. We encourage you to inquire if you have any questions.
Guest access
Upon check-in, guests will receive access code to enter the building, a key for each room and the wifi password. Free on-street parking is available on weekends. The Sky Garden Parking Garage is located next to The Ohio Building. Overnight parking is available for a very affordable $12 rate.

We want to keep the building beautiful and safe so more guests can experience it! Due to the unique nature of the building, visitors and additional guests are not allowed during your stay. We do not allow additional guests over the number stated in your reservation request and booking. Guests are not allowed to host additional guests for parties, events, or social gatherings. This is a liability and safety issue. Guests who violate this policy will be asked to leave, subject to additional fees, and will not receive a refund. We encourage you to inquire if you have any questions about this policy.
We do have rental options available if you are considering a party, event or gathering that involves individuals who are not part of the confirmed booking guests.

The entire Casa Urbana space is located on the 13,000 square foot second floor of the historic Ohio Building. While we make every attempt to accommodate all guests, elevator usage is not guaranteed for your stay.
