Very well appointed place - everything you need. Swimming and paddling on the pond were fantastic. Maybe a little snug with one bathroom, but maybe that’s mostly a reflection of having teenagers!

This lovely lake house was perfect for our two week family vacation. The Cook Family thought of everything you’d possibly need to make you stay comfortable. We’ve stayed in many vacation homes and this was surely the best! From the little things like ample hooks in the bathroom, boxes of tissues available, plenty of games and toys, to a very well-equipped kitchen and a high chair seat that was perfect! Daily visits from many hummingbirds made relaxing on the deck even more special!Kudos to the Cook Family …

This is a very cute comfortable and new place. And awesome location in general and the house is right on the water. Instructions are great. We were a couple so the 1 bathroom was fine. If you are to fill all beds - think. But if I was bringing extended family I would still choose this home in a heartbeat - and not bring anyone who needs an hour or more in the shower. Close to Damariscota and wonderful oysters. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. We wish all VRBO homes were as wonderful as this one.

What a wonderful vacation in Maine! My family enjoyed a relaxing week swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and just relaxing. We ate meals on the deck overlooking the lake, sat by the fire and spent the day swimming and lounging on the dock. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and was stocked with everything one could need. It was a great home away from home for the week. Being close to Damariscotta, we were able to enjoy dinner out and go for a walk through town. During the week we also visited Pemaquid Lighthouse and beach and Boothbay Harbor, both easy rides from the house. Definitely one of our favorite VRBO stays and a home and location we will look to return to!

FANTASTIC!!! We had the best time at Cook's Cottage. The location is terrific - we loved having water access to a nice lake that was very swimmable for our young family, as well as the close proximity into Damariscotta, as well as Round Pound. The kitchen is very well appointed and has literally everything you could ever need. Our children loved playing with the toys in the cottage (we did not pack any). We were out on the water every day swimming, SUP, kayak. We did Smores a couple nights at the fire pit. We are already booking our trip to return to this cottage next summer.
