Beautiful Beach House with Pool

The property is located literally a stone throw away from the beach in one of Harbour Island's most desirable areas. The property has a lovely pool surrounded by tropical plants, outside bar, grill, sound system, TV , all the necessary appliances, cooking utensils, linen, Bicycles, games and beach toys, wireless internet, free unlimited phone calls to the United States and Canada .The property is also equipped with a backup generator that automatically turns on during power outages which may sometimes happen regularly on Harbour Island.

The main house has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and a full bath outside by the pool. The master bedroom has a king size bed, Bedroom #2 has 2 queen size beds, and bedrooms #3 and #4 both have double fulls. There's also an extremely comfortable and cozy guest cottage available for an additional cost.

We love the Sanderson House but…

Great house and great location. Just a couple of small issues that are easy to work out. For example, the dryer was broken so we were unable to do laundry or more importantly launder towels for the pool and beach. The kitchen has many utensils for cooking but no kitchen towels for drying, and since we couldn’t launder any towels it made for a bit of a challenge. Additionally, we had no toiletries such as shampoo and soap in the cottage that we paid additional money to have. BUT, Harbour is great and this house is lovely. The pros far outweigh the cons.

Memory Maker

This home has been pleasantly updated since our last visit and we will certainly book again. Lots of space to spread out (with 4 bedrooms) in the main house, pool and bar. (And there's a studio cottage on property if you need more accommodations.) A/C works well in every room. Kitchen has new appliances and every dish, pan and tupperware you would want for family dinners. Keurig coffee maker is a nice touch. Housekeeping comes daily ex Sunday. Outdoor bar has TV, cooler for drinks and a sound system. Plenty of porches with chaises and cushions for lounging plus pool towels, umbrellas and chairs in the laundry room. A one minute walk will put you on the pink sand beach. Visit the crow's nest on the third floor for sunset pictures!

Enjoyable vacation!

Great space for our family of six adults. Loved the pool and outdoor space. Two minute easy walk to the beach. Property manager was very helpful and responsive when we had questions. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing visit to Briland.

Beautiful vacation home

The house was absolutely amazing. It was beyond what we could have imagined. Every in of the property was spectacular. We are already considering going back and staying here again.

We love Harbour Island and Sanderson House

We've stayed in 4 houses on Harbour Island and this is our 2nd stay at Sanderson House. It is by far our favorite place to stay.....we have a family of 8 and on top of the Master bedroom, Sanderson has 6 beds in three bedrooms, which allows for each kid to have their own bed. The cottage behind the house is perfect for another couple or in our case, grandparents to join us. AC works great and the pool is a treat after a long day on the boat or a beach day. The staff is great from the moment you check in to the housekeepers to Chucky. Note: Make sure you have a good golf cart because juicy hill can be tough on older golf carts.

Easter Vacation

Out of a movie…. This location on Harbour Island is perfect. . The pink beach and sunrises were perfection! House was spacious for two families of 4. Will be back.

Excellent stay

We had a great vacation at Sanderson House! We stayed in town on previous trips to Harbour Island, and really loved this more quiet location on Juicy Hill, and of course being able to walk to the beautiful pink sand beach. The house and grounds were clean and very well maintained. The house had everything we could possibly need — comfortable beds, fresh towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and toys, a well appointed kitchen. We had a couple minor issues that were immediately resolved by Darico, who was very responsive. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I think it will be our new go-to spot on Harbour Island.

Wonderful time!

We so enjoyed our week at this beautiful property in the lush Juicy Hill section of Harbour Island. The grounds are impressive and impeccably maintained. The house is located on a quiet street, just steps from the beach and it's the perfect place to join with family. This home has a very private feel. The pool and outdoor areas are large, and are surrounded by mature, beautiful landscaping. Very lush! We had 6 adults with us and there was more than enough room for us to relax comfortably. The interior is just lovely, with an open living area on both floors. The kitchen is nice as well, and has everything you need. The pictures really do not do this house justice...it is so pretty! The only minor issue we had was that one of the upstairs showers did not have very good water pressure. The other showers were great, so I think this is just a minor issue that is easily addressed. This is our second trip to Harbour Island, and this house and location is by far our favorite. Can't wait to go back! You will love staying here. :)

Fabulous house, fabulous location!

This house was perfect for us! Super clean, spacious, every amenity! The backyard is a tropical oasis, great pool, comes with rafts, beach chairs and umbrellas, and is a quick 3-minute walk to the ocean. The daily housekeeper was super friendly and kept things neat and tidy. We also rented the back house which is ideal in every way. We are already looking to book this again next year.

Great family getaway

Meticulously clean. Spacious house that our family could spread out and never feel crowded. Wonderful pool/outdoor TV/bar area that we spent a lot of time at.

Highly Recommend!

What a great property with ocean views, a pool, and a short walk to the best beach we have ever visited. This was our first trip to Harbour Island and we highly recommend Sanderson House! We had two families (4 adults and 4 kids) and it was perfect. We did not rent the cottage and had plenty of room without it.

House in great condition

This house is in great condition. The property manager takes care of any problems or questions immediately. The maids and gardener keep the house and pool in great shape. Having our own beach chairs and a private path to the beach made the vacation very relaxing.

Beautiful house, people, staff. One of the most relaxing, greatest experiences I have ever had. The Bahamas is like a second home to me and the family. This property and staff are one of the best. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing Thanksgiving week!!!

Perfect location on the island! Walking distance to the Pink Sands gorgeous beach. Short golf cart ride into town. Great service and communication with the property manager. Very responsive when the power went out. The service guy came to the house within minutes to turn generator on. Plenty of space, large rooms. There are actually 3 rooms that have 2 full beds each...the listing says otherwise. The cottage was a nice addition as well. The pool area was a great hangout for the whole family...pool heater was not working though. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Thank you!!!!

Wonderful House!

Our family has been vacationing over the holidays on Harbour Island for 40 years and have rented Sanderson House for the last four. It is the best accommodation on the island. There were nine of us this trip and plenty of room with the small guest house much enjoyed by the senior members of the group. The pool and bar area in the back of the house is ideal tor home-cooked dinners. The owner, Darico Higgs, is attentive and available. The daily maid service is much appreciated. The 2-mile pink sand beach is a short walk away and chairs and other beach gear are available at the house. Nothing matches the sunrise as seen from the widow's walk at top of the house. This is the best vacation spot we have ever encountered.

Great family holiday home!

Our family has just returned from an awesome week at Harbour Island. Thankfully we found and booked Sanderson House for our time away. It was the perfect combination of great price, convenient location close to the beach/town while allowing privacy, lots of space, private pool access and great amenities! Our kids ages 3, 5 and 8 had a blast! The house caters very well for family groups. It came complete with a cupboard stocked full of board games and puzzles, beach towels, beach toys, snorkel gear and access to laundry. There are plenty of bedrooms to spread everyone out, various tv areas and quiet corners. Access to the external washroom with shower was great for post swim or beach trips. The outside bar area was set up well with tv and music speaker hookup. Darico and Frisco took great care of us. They were available to answer all questions, provide local recommendations and always responded quickly to our requests. The housekeeper service was also a nice luxury while on holiday. For the adults we really enjoyed the daily 360 degree views from the widow's walk, the convenience of having private pool access, a great well equipped kitchen, wifi, free long distance calling and effective AC. Great trip and a great stay at Sanderson House!

Look no further!

My family of 8 spent a week at this house (called Sanderson House) in February. We also rented the guest house behind it. It's hard to describe how fabulous this house is--the layout allows for many private spaces as well as places the group can be together. Every possible amenity has been provided, i.e., everything for the trip to the beach (towels, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc.), as well as a gorgeous pool on the premises, outdoor grill, bar, TV's in many locations, and a kitchen with everything a cook could imagine. It is clean and well maintained and actually, the photos don't do justice to the appearance of this very special home. The bedrooms are spacious, the baths (especially on 1st floor) are luxurious, and the outdoor verandas and porches are so inviting. Everyone's favorite spot was what I call the "widow's walk" on the very top of the house, with amazing views 360 degrees. Whether it was morning coffee or evening drinks, there was always someone up there. As for getting around, we rented 2 golf carts even though we're all hikers, walkers, etc. The house is not far from the center of the little town yet far enough to be really private. The owner and his family were most helpful with every little detail we asked about, and were available for anything that might go wrong. (Nothing did.) A housekeeper was there to clean every day, which was another bonus. I saw some other rental properties on Harbour Island and I'd definitely put Sanderson House at the top of the list. So look no further, this is the place to stay on Harbour Island.

Two weeks in Paradise

We just spent the holidays on Harbour Island - our 39th trip there - and for the 2nd year stayed in Sanderson House. It was a wonderful experience. This new and spacious property had plenty of room for 9, sometimes 10 of us. The cottage in the back was a haven for the 2 senior members of the party. Everything worked, including internet, and the automatic generator was helpful for occasional power outages. The pool and outdoor bar are great for leisurly dinners and entertaining guests. The owner, Darico Higgs, spared no effort to make our stay enjoyable, even setting up our Christmas tree before we arrived! This is a wonderful property in an idyllic setting, close to the beach and very private. The sunrise viewed from the rooftop balcony was spectacular. We will be back next year!

Best house on the island

By far best house on the island.. Very close to the beach.. Amazing owner who is on call although u won't need him.. great, respectful housekeeper who does a great job of cleaning no matter how bad the mess.. a lot more spacious then the pics show.. Overall we couldn't have been happier with the stay.. nick
