Want to go up north, but without the long drive? This charming newly renovated air conditioned and heated family and baby friendly cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind with your family or for a couples’ getaway. Located on a small no wake lake outside of Harrison, MI, this cottage has a private dock and lakefront to enjoy fun in the sun, or in the water! Float or paddle the lake in one of the provided kayaks, canoe, or paddleboat. Bring your own fishing poles or use the provided cottage poles to search out and catch a big Largemouth bass or pike! Located less than a two hour drive from Lansing, Detroit and Grand Rapids this central location is extremely accessible, only 10 minutes off of US-127.
The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and a large outdoor deck overlooking the lake. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom and a bunk bed in the basement, perfect for your family!
For families with young children, we are happy to offer a Pack N Play, high chair, toddler booster seat, infant/toddler bath tub, baby video monitor (needs to remain plugged in), sound machine and outlet covers. It's all in the details - we've worked hard to think of everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Laundry is available in the basement.
Tech amenities include:

- 43 inch smart TV with streaming apps (need to log in) in the main living area

The view was wonderful. Sunrises couldn't be better. Fishing was good if that's what you like to do.The cottage had everything needed for a relaxing week. Appropriate for all ages.We would come back.

Fun relaxing family week away from home. Lake is nice and quiet for canoe and paddleboat rides. Had a very minor issue that host sorted out right away. There are books, games and activities for kids so you don’t have to pack everything. Kids loved fishing and jumping off the dock for swimming

Wonderful Weekend getaway
We wanted to get out of the city and unplug for a weekend and this was just the place! Very family friendly and truly a home away from home. My picky teen requested to stay there next year already!

What a beautiful and restful place to rent. The cottage was remodeled and a wonderful place to stay. Would love to stay there again!

Family Vacation

Amazing little cottage
Everything was perfect for my boys and I. Can’t say enough great things about the owners and the property. We had a great 5 day weekend!

Wonderful weekend getaway
We absolutely loved staying here. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, the lake was beautiful, and we loved using the paddle boat. The beds were very comfortable, and the extra space in the basement was nice. We will definitely be going back!

The house was very clean! They have thought of everything! The bedrooms had comfortable beds and plenty of plugs to charge devices. There were fishing rods, tackle, and even a filet knife!We loved swimming out on the lake, and since it’s no wake, we could swim everywhere without fear of being taken out by a boat. Fishing was amazing! We were pulling them in one after another! The first bass we caught was huge!You can tell this is owned by people who care, and not just a property management company. There was a handwritten note and a bottle of wine, along with a binder of info awaiting our arrival. The washer and dryer were perfect to have so we didn’t have to bring laundry home. They even had free and clear detergent, which is a must for my family.I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place! Thank you for your hospitality!

The cottage was home away from home. We attended a wedding in Coleman and wanted a quiet on the water! This was great! It was really nice, clean and inviting. Also, the beds were incredibly comfortable. Thank you!

Everything was just as described! Having my two year-old granddaughter there it was really convenient having all of those items for her. It was nice to be able to take the paddle boat or the kayaks out. Very relaxing!

We enjoyed a quiet relaxing getaway at this home. Everything was there that we needed for meal prep, campfires and fun. The boat options were great! The view of the water was calming. And Kevin was kind, quick to respond and helpful with any questions we had. Thank you.

Small lake
Though the lake is very small, one gets the essence of a cottage on the lake. Very comfortable place, all was as described.

Weekend getaway
This cottage was perfect for a summer weekend getaway! Cottage was clean and had everything you needed. We didn’t cook at all, but the kitchen looked well stocked! Loved using the kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat. Quiet lake, great place to relax. Would definitely come here again 😊

Sweet little house
The owner thought of everything we could have needed. From high chairs to board games…he had it all there. He left a note and a bottle of wine when we checked in!

Weekend getaway with friends from Germany
We had some friends visit from Germany and wanted to give them a Michigan „up north“ experience without driving 4.5h.
This fit the bill perfectly. Wonderful little cabin by the lake, kayaks, fishing and Harrison Twp close by. Really nice weekend, great and responsive host.

Awesome lakefront cottage!
This cottage was perfect for my wife and I to relax and for our kids (10 and 7) to play in the water and chase the fish (and turtles). We took out the canoes and kyaks and tried our hands at fishing off the dock as well. Having firewood onsite was a nice surprise.
The host, Kevin, was super informative and responsive.
Highly recommend this place!

We enjoyed our stay at the lake with good fishing and exploring the lake in the paddle boat. The view of the water from the cottage and yard was picturesque and serene. While the neighbors are close, it was no issue at all. The neighbors were friendly and the overall area was peaceful. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed and more. We appreciated the AC since it was really hot during our visit. It was a pleasant surprise to be welcomed with a nice message and a bottle of wine. Definitely recommend this cottage! Thank you Kevin for the great hospitality :)
